Reducing Dizziness

Today, Dizzy told me that he was going to move out of town on April 15th. Probably for tax purposes.

Dizzy: I know it's sudden, but I'm leaving on the 15th of this month! It's been nice hanging with you, skippy!Believe it or not, I’m actually letting him go. I like Dizzy, but he’s not someone I intended to keep forever. And he’s been here for a while, moving in on January 15th of last year. So it may be time for him to pack his trunk. However, I’m not going to avoid him if he pings me. If he changes his mind and decides to stay, I’m completely fine with that.

Over by the river, I caught a really big common butterfly!

I caught a common butterfly! How could I resist?Nah, that was just Saharah the carpet-selling camel. I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpeting, and she decided on this classic carpet and exotic wall.

A classic carpet and an exotic wall.I found a lost item (a book) on the ramp going down to the beach, so I started asking my villagers about it. After a few minutes, I reunited the book with its owner, Agent S. But I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me: I was seeing two nets and I felt a bit Dizzy.

Agent S: What?! I look everywhere for this book! She gave me a kiddie couch to thank me for returning the book.

I made a trip out to the island for some bug-catching. I also caught a few sharks too, but I tend to focus on the bugs while I’m out there. Once I was done, I returned to Forest. Apparently, I didn’t catch enough to trigger Pascal, but I did hit a beastly milestone after selling my catches: I’m two-thirds of the way to the gold bell-saver badge.

Your current balance is 66,666,666 bells.

My recent dream visitors have been Paige from Acrewood, Dakota B from La Luna, and Lokki from Akirai. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!

Friday Night Forest for April

At 10:00 tonight, I opened my town gate for Friday Night Forest. Beth came over to visit, followed by Squishy a few minutes later.

Squishy arrives in Forest.

At one point, I was away for a minute or two. When I came back, I found myself surround by holes.

Surrounded by holes.Meli then arrived and joined in, so we had a full house. We hung out by the central park, where Squishy had a magic glow wand that slightly increased her height. And that’s no tall tale!

Giant Squishy!Once she shrunk back down to normal size, I was able to put my net through her face! Don’t worry, it was net painful.

Squishy's face goes through my net. After hanging out for a while, we went out to the island. We caught some fish and bugs for a bit, but then we tried some tours.

Everyone catching bugs. The tour selection wasn’t very good, but we did some bug-catching, fish-catching, and item-matching…and we didn’t do very well at any of them. Maybe we got silver once, but the other times we got bronze or worse. Even when we did an “easy” tour, haha!

Tortimer: You met your goal! Good job! Here's your reward: 1 medal! But the item-matching tour was our worst showing: We failed it spectacularly. 😀

We were tired of being robbed by Tortimer, so we went back to Forest. After selling my island catches at Re-Tail, I placed some dead end signs down. And then we started watering them. Uh, to keep them from coming to life, I suppose. But Meli tempted fate by dancing on the dead end signs!

Meli dancing on the dead end signs.Fortunately, she survived. I added another tile for her to water too.

Watering the dead end.Meli and Beth eventually wandered off…leaving the dead end with two dead ends of its own.

We ended up back by the metal bench, where Molly asked me for some fruit. I gave her a perfect peach, and she had this expression on her face:

Molly: A perfect peach! Wow, that was fast!I left that text box there for a minute or so. Apparently, everyone could see Molly’s expression (and they were amused by it), but they couldn’t see the peach I gave her.

We started pulling out all of our accessories. Beans, bubbles, hammers, coffee, and more.

Hanging out in the park.
It looks like Beth has bubble gum!

I even made use of my megaphone.

Jeff: SLEEP WELL! I also got my slingshot out in case any UFOs flew by. (They didn’t).

Shooting my slingshot. We were enjoying the sights of the falling cherry blossoms with my illuminated tree in the background.

A pretty night sky in Forest.

Shortly before midnight, we got abruptly disconnected. Since it was so late, I didn’t reopen my gate. But thank for you coming Beth, Squishy, and Meli! It was fun!

According to Luna, my most recent dream visitor was Angel from Dreamers. Have a good weekend, everyone!

Island Grinding

Last night, I went out to the island for some bug-catching and fishing. The bugs I can catch there are far more valuable than what’s around town this time of year, and of course I’m able to catch sharks there too. So I loaded up my dock box, and when I returned, I had enough money to kick my bank account balance over 66 million bells.

Your current balance is 66,110,000 bells.Today, cherry blossom petals started falling from the sky. It’s a beautiful time of year to enjoy the scenery, even if New Leaf doesn’t have a Cherry Blossom Festival.

Cherry blossom petals falling from the sky.Saharah was in town, so I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpeting. She ultimately went with this chessboard rug and chain-link fence.

A chessboard rug and chain-link fence.I made another trip out to the island tonight, although I didn’t stay very long. I think I should get into the habit of doing this more often. It helps me work towards three badges at once by increasing my fish count, my bug count, and my bank account. 😉

My recent dream visitors have been Samzyy from Banana, Xavier from Quigley, and Jake from Florida. Thanks for visiting!

I’ll be back with another entry late tomorrow night; it’s Friday Night Forest! Anyone currently on my roster is welcome to come. See you then!
