Today, Dizzy told me that he was going to move out of town on April 15th. Probably for tax purposes.
Believe it or not, I’m actually letting him go. I like Dizzy, but he’s not someone I intended to keep forever. And he’s been here for a while, moving in on January 15th of last year. So it may be time for him to pack his trunk. However, I’m not going to avoid him if he pings me. If he changes his mind and decides to stay, I’m completely fine with that.
Over by the river, I caught a really big common butterfly!
Nah, that was just Saharah the carpet-selling camel. I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpeting, and she decided on this classic carpet and exotic wall.
I found a lost item (a book) on the ramp going down to the beach, so I started asking my villagers about it. After a few minutes, I reunited the book with its owner, Agent S. But I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me: I was seeing two nets and I felt a bit Dizzy.
She gave me a kiddie couch to thank me for returning the book.
I made a trip out to the island for some bug-catching. I also caught a few sharks too, but I tend to focus on the bugs while I’m out there. Once I was done, I returned to Forest. Apparently, I didn’t catch enough to trigger Pascal, but I did hit a beastly milestone after selling my catches: I’m two-thirds of the way to the gold bell-saver badge.

My recent dream visitors have been Paige from Acrewood, Dakota B from La Luna, and Lokki from Akirai. Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you next time!

Meli then arrived and joined in, so we had a full house. We hung out by the central park, where Squishy had a magic glow wand that slightly increased her height. And that’s no tall tale!
Once she shrunk back down to normal size, I was able to put my net through her face! Don’t worry, it was net painful.
After hanging out for a while, we went out to the island. We caught some fish and bugs for a bit, but then we tried some tours.
The tour selection wasn’t very good, but we did some bug-catching, fish-catching, and item-matching…and we didn’t do very well at any of them. Maybe we got silver once, but the other times we got bronze or worse. Even when we did an “easy” tour, haha!
But the item-matching tour was our worst showing: We failed it spectacularly. 😀
Fortunately, she survived. I added another tile for her to water too.
Meli and Beth eventually wandered off…leaving the dead end with two dead ends of its own.
I left that text box there for a minute or so. Apparently, everyone could see Molly’s expression (and they were amused by it), but they couldn’t see the peach I gave her.
I also got my slingshot out in case any UFOs flew by. (They didn’t).
We were enjoying the sights of the falling cherry blossoms with my illuminated tree in the background.
Today, cherry blossom petals started falling from the sky. It’s a beautiful time of year to enjoy the scenery, even if New Leaf doesn’t have a
Saharah was in town, so I hired her to put in some new wallpaper and carpeting. She ultimately went with this chessboard rug and chain-link fence.
I made another trip out to the island tonight, although I didn’t stay very long. I think I should get into the habit of doing this more often. It helps me work towards three badges at once by increasing my fish count, my bug count, and my bank account. 😉
