Rainy Days and Monkeys

I was greeted by a fairly unusual sight when I started up the game today: Rain.

Daisy: Rainy days like this give me another excuse to stay inside with a book.
Rainy days and monkeys always get me down.

I haven’t had much rain lately…but I suspect Elise may have brought the gloomy weather with her. I went into her house to introduce myself; she’s even uglier than she was in City Folk!

Elise: Hey! What are you doing in here? I'm not even unpacked yet!
Please don’t unpack at all. Just move.

She confirmed that she just moved from Beth’s town of Otaku, and then she begged me to come back and chat tomorrow. Ugh.

Elise: Come back tomorrow, and we can have a proper conversation. Puh-lease?I hope she’s outdoors tomorrow. It gives me so many more options. 😈  *cough* Pitfalls, hammers, and nets. *cough*

I found a lost mitten on the ground at the event plaza. I reunited it with its owner, Daisy. She thanked me by giving me a trunk measure.

Daisy: In terms of a reward, this is all I have on me right now. I hope you like my trunk measure! The word “trunk” made me think of elephants, and Dizzy in particular. I can’t believe I essentially traded Dizzy for Elise… 😯

I made an evening trip out to the island, where the weather was much nicer. I filled up my dock box with bugs, and they earned me more than 150,000 bells when I sold them at Re-Tail. When I put my money into the bank, my account balance reached 68 million bells.

Your current balance is 68,000,000 bells.

My recent dream visitors have been Alex from Yavin 4 and Glory from Snowfall. Thanks for stopping by!

Tragic Monkey Magic

Yesterday, I received Dizzy’s goodbye letter in the mail. I’ll have to go visit him sometime! He also included his picture attached to the letter.

Dizzy's goodbye letter. His absence meant that a new villager started appearing on Main Street. That villager was Amelia Airhead. She and I became enemies late in 2014, at it wasn’t long until I encouraged her to get the flock out of town.

Amelia: Well, if it isn't old Jeff. How fun to meet up with you here!Today, Big Top saw that I had a common butterfly in my pockets, and he asked me for it. In return, he gave me his entire life savings: 90 bells.

Big Top: I'd be willing to pay up to 90 bells...which is my entire life savings.I was surprised to find a new villager plot in town, and that surprise turned to disappointment when I saw that Elise is moving in!

This spot reserved for Elise's new home. -Nook's Homes
Elise. Believe I never wanted this.

Elise is a hideous monkey that I had in my ACCF town years ago. Jorge also had Elise (and many other ugly villagers) in his town, as some of you may remember from my Crowded Bridge video.

I thought Elise was just a result of bad luck, but it turns out no luck was involved. Elise is Beth’s former villager! Elise is like a virus that Beth brought over and infected my town with! I don’t want ugly diseased monkeys running around my town! Beth is in my doghouse now! How rude! 😛

In other news, Agent S has apparently fallen in love with me!

Agent S: It's just that I think about you ALL the time. I've got skippy on the brain, so I cried!
The Spy Who Loved Me

Even though I haven’t seen Katrina lately, I’m guessing this must be related to her wizardry. Or maybe the pending arrival of Elise is causing all sorts of problems, like a glitch in the monkey Matrix.

I’ll be back tomorrow when I meet the wicked glitch herself.

Dizzy Packs His Trunk

As expected, Dizzy was all packed up and ready to move out of town today. I went in to say goodbye and to wish him luck.

Dizzy: I finally made up my mind! I'm moving out of this town!Instead of a money rock today, I had a gem rock that spit out eight pieces of ore. That’s something I don’t normally mention in the blog, but it’s notable this time because I believe this is the 4th time I’ve had one in the past ten days or so! I’m running out of space to keep all these gems around, since I can only trick my villagers into buying a few of them a day (at 7,999 bells apiece).

Gem rock jackpot! So if you visit my dream town anytime soon, please excuse the colorful crystal clutter around two of my rocks and outside of Re-Tail. Hopefully I’ll have them cleaned up in a few days.

Beth came over to adopt Dizzy, so the elephant will soon be a resident of Otaku. I hope you enjoy having Dizzy, Beth! And good luck in your new town, Dizzy! Even though I don’t think Dizzy reads this blog. 😛

Dizzy: I'm moving to Otaku!I made a short visit to Otaku myself, and I really like the paths and tiles on the ground here.

Outside the Otaku train station.I explored her town a bit, and I stopped at the Roost for some coffee…which I drank in front of Beth to make her jealous. 😛

Drinking coffee in Beth's town of Otaku.I then returned home and used the Dream Suite. Luna told me that Xavier from Quigley was my most recent dream visitor. Pacey from Dog Town also visited recently.

Next, I took a trip out to the island. I caught 150,000 bells worth of bugs before returning home and ending my game for the night. Thank you all for stopping by, and I hope you have a great weekend!
