On Tuesday, I saw Peck taking a nap on the bench. I chose not to disturb him this time.
Today was Velma’s birthday, so I paid her a visit. Not surprisingly, Forest’s other goat Pashmina was there too. Velma wasted no time in asking me for a present.
I gave her a lovely kitchen that had been customized in pink and black. She didn’t seem thrilled with it, but she said it’s the thought that counts. I tried to be a good sport and I enjoyed the moment.
When I was done, I headed to the door. On my way out, Velma tried to tell me that she loved the gift I gave her. She was obviously lying.
Later on, I headed over to Paige’s town to drop off a picture of Rolf. Hope you enjoy it, Paige!
I’ve had a little routine going lately that helps me inch towards some badges that I still need to earn. I buy some paper, write some letters with it, catch a few fish, catch a few bugs, and catch a few sea creatures while diving. After doing it today, I headed up to Re-Tail to sell my catches. And right there, I found Phineas! I wasn’t sure which badge to expect, but my first new badge of 2016 turned out to be the Letter Author badge for writing lots of letters.

Of course most of those letters say nothing more than “I hate writing letters,” but that’s okay. The badge I earned is silver, which means I still have another 100 letters to write before I can earn the gold badge. Here is an updated look at my current badges:

I made some deliveries to give away a bunch of my duplicate villager pictures to Katherin, Hailey, CG, Yami, and Edouard. I hope you all enjoy the pics! I still have a number of pics available, though, so just contact me if you want some. Here’s what I have left:
Today, Saharah was in town. I paid her 3,000 bells for some new wallpaper and carpet; she put in this western vista and tatami. Again?! She just gave me a tatami
Big Top was in Re-Tail shopping for bargains. Good luck finding a bargain here, pal! He said his eagle eye was going to come in handy. But it actually looked like he was crossing his eyes when he said that.
Rolf asked me to make a delivery to Daisy, so I took the item over. It turned out to be a jagged shirt, and Daisy seemed to like it. She rewarded with a BB tee.
Even though it may be a bit cold for a T-shirt, I put it on anyway.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Skylar from Konohana was my most recent dream visitor. Other visitors were Patrick from Sci-Town (yesterday) and Jordan from Funville (Saturday). Thank you all for stopping by!
She did some shopping up on Main Street; this was actually her first time seeing the Emporium! She seemed pretty excited about it.
She got her hair done at Shampoodle (using my
I told her she could help herself to the fruit in my town, since her town is new. I also gave her a tour of my house.
We had some fun on the marshmallow chairs. It still makes me laugh to see the faces and hear the sounds the characters make when they try (and fail) to get off the chair.
She didn’t have a wet suit, so I gave her a (gently-used) extra one I had.
We also hunted down some snowflakes. There was one snowflake in particular that seemed to be trolling us. We had to swim to the private beach to get to it, and once we arrived, it went back to the other side! It went back and forth several times until Robin eventually caught it.
We did some swimming and crab diving, and then we had a nice hammer fight. It can’t truly be Friday Night Forest without bashing someone over the head with a toy hammer.
We dove into the ocean (from the cliff and the dock), but it’s hard to take a picture at just the right moment. It’s even harder to time it so that you jump off at the same time. But this is the best picture I got from our diving attempts.
Shortly before midnight, I ended the session. I had a good time and it was nice to see Robin again after not playing Animal Crossing with her for years. Hopefully she’ll stop by again sometime.
