Saharah was in town today, and I hired her to install some new wallpaper and carpet. She put in this kitchen wall and tatami. Eh.
Peck came up to me and started bragging about not only his clothes, but also his “jaw-dropping physique.” (Looks like he has a bird chest to me). But I think he’s starting to creep me out a bit.
Not a lot was going on in town tonight, so I decided to do a little dreaming. I started going through my list of dream towns that people have suggested, but I noticed an unsettling trend. Luna kept telling me that there was not a town at each address I entered. Admittedly, these suggestions were old. (I’ve received too many suggestions to get to them all in a timely manner). But I’ve never got this many bad dream addresses in a row before.
I know that inactive dreams are deleted after a while, but I wonder if Nintendo has decreased that amount of time now that they’re also saving people’s Happy Home Designer creations. At any rate, if you want your dream town to stay active, make sure you update it regularly!
I was a bit relieved when I finally found one that worked. I headed off to the town of Scarlett (4600-2362-5644). It’s set in springtime, and you can see the pink cherry blossom trees. There are lots of flowers and the sky is blue and clear. This town is gorgeous!
There is a winding path that leads to the campsite and this mushroom garden near the fire pit. You can use a tree trunk as a stool.
The town is amazingly colorful, everywhere you go.
Mel is the mayor of Scarlett, and her basement looks like a great place to check out some live music.
Honey’s house has a great-looking diner. Grab some snacks or play some billiards.

After I updated my own town dream town (dream address 4300-2003-9889), Luna told me that Lotus from Coral was my most recent dream visitor. Caitlin from Cesadius also visited recently.

He gave me 15 minutes to find him, Velma, and Agent S. Fifteen minutes is plenty of time, so I felt no need to rush. But still, it didn’t take me long to find Velma hiding behind a tree and Agent S hiding behind Rolf’s house.
I tracked down Dizzy a couple minutes later, and he had the worst hiding spot of all: He was trying to hide behind the arm of the Sphinx. If someone told him that was a good hiding spot, they were clearly lion.
Even though Dizzy lost the game, he said it was the most fun he’s had in ages. That’s saying a lot, because elephants never forget! 😉 He gave me a hearth as my prize for winning.
Even though I built a perfect snowmam yesterday, I tried making another one today since I found both snowballs pretty close to each other. However, the snowballs wouldn’t connect to form a snowmam–even though they seemed like they were the right size! Oh well. So I just made them a little bigger and ended up with a snowboy.
When I made my daily trip up to Main Street, Luna told me that Cab from Renwerd was my most recent dream visitor. (Ben from Leafwood was my previous dream visitor). At the post office, the money I deposited into my bank account kicked my balance up over 58 million bells.
I finished off my night with some fishing and diving. I caught a scallop and Pascal popped up out of the water. He figured that if people can get seasick, maybe the sea can get person sick. 😀
I definitely wouldn’t want to swim in that ocean.
Back in Forest, the countdown to the new year was on. Isabelle gave me a glass of sparkling cider. Even though I didn’t watch the countdown in New Leaf, I left my game in sleep mode and returned to it shortly after midnight. Rolf, Pashmina, Aurora, and Crazy Redd joined Isabelle and me in the event plaza.
I gulped down my cider as Isabelle looked on. Happy new year!
Tonight, the northern lights were in the sky above as I started up the game.
Isabelle was at the event plaza again, but this time she was telling me to swing through some trees like monkeys!
I’m sure Porter wouldn’t like to hear that! Why not suggest that I run my own train like a monkey? Hmmm? Anyway, 2016 is the year of the monkey, so she gave me a zodiac monkey. I put it in my house by my new 2016 sign.
There was a fireworks face-cutout standee at the event plaza, so I stuck my face through it. I had a blast.
I chatted with Velma over by town hall, and she told me that her new year resolution is to get really good at eating spicy food. Practice makes perfect!
Up on Main Street, Luna told me that Serenie from Cutiepie was my most recent dream visitor. Kevin from Leafside was yesterday’s visitor. When I went into the Happy Homes Showcase, I checked out the home of someone I StreetPassed, Miles from Animalia. There, I found a wet-roadway sign that had been customized to display a kangaroo! Nice sign, mate.
