Letter Writer Badge

Last night, I caught another scallop while diving in the ocean. Pascal popped up and gave me a helm in exchange for it. He also was talking about tacos–on Taco Tuesday, no less.

Pascal: You know the difference between hard tacos and soft tacos? Maaan, it's the CRUNCH.Today, Gracie came into the Roost for some coffee. Since I already got my first three customers’ orders perfect, I didn’t need to get hers right in order to get superb coffee beans. So I didn’t bother looking at my list and just gave her whatever. She was not happy, and she was talking down to me. Witch…I hope that coffee burns your throat. All the way down.

Gracie: Keep your little eyes and ears open next time, won't you? That's a good child. Ta-ta!I was happily surprised to see Phineas in town! All the grinding is starting to pay off! He gave me the Letter Writer badge. I don’t agree with what it says about me loving to write letters, though. I hate it! Especially in New Leaf with this annoying on-screen keyboard.

I got the Letter Writer badge! This badge is for people who love to send letters, and I do!I now have at least a bronze badge for every category. This is what my current badge collection looks like:

My badge collection as of October 21, 2015.My recent dream visitors were Jun from Loredge (Monday), Jamie from StokLand (Tuesday), and Yustin from Urania (today). Thanks for visiting!

Grinding for Badges

On Saturday, I was playing the game just after 4:00 in the morning. That’s unusual, even for a night owl like me! But I noticed something odd. Despite being the middle of the night, there seemed to be a spot where it was sunny! Look at the grass on the left side, and compare it to the grass on the right!

Sunlight in the middle of the night?Last night, I spotted Velma sitting on the town’s metal bench. She invited me to sit with her.

Velma: It's a fine day to just sit outside and relax a little bit. Why don't you join me?If it’ll get her to suggest me some public works projects, I’ll try anything.

Sitting with Velma on the bench. And then today, Sunday morning came and went without me buying any turnips (once again). I just haven’t been playing the game on Sunday mornings for several weeks.

I decided to try grinding for badges. So I did some fishing, I did some bug-catching, I checked items in the shops to see if I needed any for my catalog, and I even wrote eight letters to villagers. I also did some diving, and I caught a scallop that caught Pascal’s attention.

I got a scallop! Hey, this isn't a potato at all!Pascal asked for the scallop, and I gave it to him. In return, he gave me a keg; he also gave me these words of wisdom:

Pascal: A full stomach is more likely to let enemies become friends, but an empty stomach will do the opposite. My badge grinding for today wasn’t enough to summon Phineas, but at least I know I’m slowly making progress on many of those badges I still need.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Gabe from Poketown was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!

Gallant Statue

Just in time for the Halloween season, I saw something frightening at the campsite yesterday! Ahhh!

Jambette: I'm going to enjoy the time I spend here. I hope we get to know each other!Daisy told me she had a dream about Joshua from Cheese. That’s a dairy unusual town name.

Daisy: I had a strange dream about someone called Joshua from Cheese.Crazy Redd was in town, and I bought a gallant statue from him. I’ve bought this statue many times before, but the dude has always been fake. Until now! I donated the real statue to the museum today. I only need one more work of art to complete my museum!

Gallant Statue - October 15th, 2015 - Donation by JeffTonight, there was another tent at the campsite. So I headed in.

Enter the tent at the campground.Rocket the pink-wearing gorilla was inside. She’s certainly not my favorite animal, but she sure is better than Jambette!

Rocket: Oh, you're from here in Forest? Nice to meet ya! My name is Rocket!According to Luna, my recent dream visitors have been Crosby from Town (Tuesday), Joshua from Cheese (yesterday), and Nami from Sunville (today). Thanks for visiting, everyone!
