Today, Big Top asked me for furniture shaped like an ice cream bar. That just means a rectangular piece of furniture–one that takes up two spaces, like a sofa or single bed.
I gave him a kiddie couch, and he rewarded me with his picture.
I went out to the island for some tours. The best one today was the bug hide-and-seek tour. It requires catching some “hidden” bugs, including centipedes and pill bugs that hide under rocks, walking sticks that are hard to see on trees, and mole crickets underground. If you take your time to look for the walking sticks on trees, and then hit all the rocks you see, it’s pretty easy to get gold. I don’t bother digging for the mole crickets. But I played this tour three times, earning a gold Tortimer award and 15 medals each time.
I actually spent some medals on the island too. Grams had some kappa-costume pants for sale for 15 medals, and I bought them (for catalog purposes).
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Noah from Animal was my most recent dream visitor.
***GIVEAWAY INFO***
I’m giving away a total of 10 StreetPass items: Three pinwheels, three balloons, two ice cream cones, a bubble wand, and a tweeter. See the picture below for the full list of each item.
There are three ways to enter:
[Entry details removed now that the contest is over.]
You can enter once per method, for a maximum of three entries. The contest will end on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. All valid entries will be entered into a spreadsheet and a random number generator will be used to choose a winner.
The winner will be announced later that night on my July 11th New Leaf blog entry. I will also attempt to contact the winner directly at that time. If the winning entry was from a post on this page, I will contact you via e-mail if you provided an e-mail address. If not, or If I am unable to contact you for any reason, you must contact me and claim the prize (by opening your New Leaf gate for me) by Tuesday, July 14th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. If you don’t, you will forfeit the prize.
Note: If a winning entry was from a comment left on JVGS, the prize will ONLY be given to the winning friend code chosen (to prevent abuse).
Other notes: I am unable to keep the winner on my friend roster after the prizes have been delivered. If a winner does not claim the prize by July 14th, another winner will be chosen. That replacement winner will also have three days to claim the prize. Good luck, everyone!
It was actually Kabuki’s book, though. It’s called Animalese 101!
I made a dream visit to Andrea’s town Forks (dream address 5700-3803-1833). It has tons of flowers–I made sure to run through them all, even though the sign told me not to.
I ended up selling my turnips for a loss yesterday, and I didn’t buy any new ones for this week.
That letter contains an error, however. It says you could only get the sushi platter in the Japanese version prior to now, but that’s not the case. It was also a Nintendo Zone download in America back inĀ
The sushi platter can be ordered from the catalog for 1,680 bells.
Cally asked me what I thought of her outfit and I replied “Meh.” She said she’ll have to try harder to find an outfit that grabs my attention. Well, I wouldn’t blame the outfit…
Up at the Happy Homes Showcase, I StreetPassed Ash from Idiris. She gave me a mint double scoop ice cream cone!
I’ve been trying to get a second ice cream cone for a long time. This means I’m finally able to have my long-awaited StreetPass item giveaway. It’ll include two ice cream cones, three pinwheels, three balloons, a bubble wand, and a tweeter. The giveaway will begin one day this week (possibly tomorrow), so check back again soon for more info.
According to Luna, my most recent dream visitors were Alfredo from Smithson (today) and Taylor from Johto (yesterday). Thanks for visiting!
I had been thinking the only PWPs not suggested yet were the ones from the uchi personality villagers–but no. The modern streetlight is suggested by snooties, and I haven’t had many snooties in my town. At some point, I should let an uchi and a snooty move in, just so I can get the rest of those PWP suggestions! Maybe after I get Cally out of town…
She said it was a little strange…but a bit genius too. If you say so.
I took a trip out to the island, but the tour selection wasn’t very good tonight. I went on an elite ore-hunter tour, earning silver (12 medals).
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Emma from Oodlands was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting, and have a good weekend, everyone! And happy 4th of July for those of you in the U.S.! Feel free to use this U.S. flag pattern I made last year.
