A Damp Tuesday

It was raining in Forest today, and as usual, Molly was enjoying the moisture.

Molly: Animal Quackers! If you go jumping into puddles, be sure to dry off later, ducky.Daisy was also enjoying the rain, although she seemed to care more about how the rain was going to make the town all nice and clean.

Daisy: This rain is going to make the town all clean and shiny, it's ruff!I found Gulliver washed up on the beach, with wrinkled wing tips?

Gulliver: The tips of my wings are wrinkled like sad, depressed seaweed. He was talking about windmills; he’ll be blowing into the Netherlands tomorrow.

I took a trip out to the island, where I went on the elite market-price-bug hunt tour. Catching 40,000 bells worth of bugs earned me twelve medals.

Tortimer: That's enough to net you a Gold Tortimer award and 12 medals!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Eero from Arigany was my most recent dream visitor. Yesterday’s visitor was Jordon from Forest.

The Joan Recipe

I got a couple of letters today that included gifts: Gulliver sent me a merlion from Singapore, and Katie sent me her picture after I took her to another town yesterday.

Joan was selling turnips for 99 bells today, and I bought 3,200 of them. I had better make a decent profit on them this week, or Joan is going to end up asĀ dinner.

Joan: The asking price is 99 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?I found a lost item on the beach tonight…

A lost item on the beach. After several minutes of searching and questioning villagers, I finally found out that it belonged to Cally. She said it had an important recipe inside. For roasted Joan? Yeah, that is important!

Cally: Hey! This IS mine! And there's an important recipe inside, so thank you for finding it for me!She gave me a mango to thank me for returning the recipe. But don’t you want this to shove in Joan’s mouth? Ah, nevermind. Let’s use a turnip for that.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Erik from Fantasia was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting! See you next time.

Dumping Off Katie

This was not a good week for turnips, as I ended up selling mine for a loss.

Merka had Gracie in her town today, so I let her borrow some clothes so that she could pass her fashion check. However, I had a surprise for Merka as I arrived in her town: Katie! Good riddance, cat.

Katie: OK, I'm gonna go see what Bribs is all about! So long, friend!I watched Merka change into the official clothes I took her. It looks like my character wasn’t all that impressed.

Me and Merka standing in Bribs. But she spoke with Gracie and passed the fashion check. Just two more to go for her.

Merka speaking with Gracie.Merka gave me the clothes back and then kicked me out. Back in Forest, Big Top told me that he was going to move out of town on June 18th. Oh no, you’re not.

Big Top: Wow, I didn't think you'd care that much. Well, if you really want me to stay in Forest, then I will! And for the third day in a row (and 5th time in the last 6 days), I had a camper at the campsite. Today’s camper was Lucy the pig. (Note: Annalisa was the camper on Thursday; I didn’t mention that in the blog since I didn’t write an entry that day).

Lucy: I enjoy company, so please come visit me anytime! After 8:00, I took in a performance from K.K. Slider at Club LOL. He sang Cafe K.K. for me, Agent S, and Teddy.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called Cafe K.K.And last but not least, I found Gulliver down on the beach. He was talking about merlions and durians; he’s headed off to Singapore!

Gulliver: The place I'm headed to has a sorta famous symbol of something cool called a merlion! Ever seen one?
