Rejecting Cally

Yesterday, I was able to check out the inside of Tom’s house. It was very nice, but Tom wasn’t in a talkative mood.

Tom: Hey, Jeff! That's...all I had to say. Me-YOWZA.I found Cally sitting on the yellow bench in my park, and she asked me to sit down and join her.

Cally: Why don't you sit down with me, Jeff? There's plenty of room.I refused.

This afternoon, Re-Tail was paying 109 bells for turnips. That was down a bit from the morning price, so it seemed that the slow price rise was over. I sold my turnips at that price, earning me a tiny profit.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 109 bells.I met up with Cally on my bridge tonight, and she told me she was feeling woozy and needed some fruit.

Cally: I'm so hungry, I'm afraid I might faint! I'm feeling qoozy... I need some fruit badly.Once again, I told her no.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Jilly from Panem was my most recent dream visitor. Yesterday’s visitor was Arianna from Bubblebu. (Is that short for Bubblebutt?)

Tom was in the Emporium tonight, and he was thankful that the store doesn’t carry perfume. He said perfume makes him dizzy.

Tom: This place doesn't have a cosmetics counter, so I don't have to worry about perfume making me dizzy!Out by the coffee shop, Rolf told me that was planning on moving out of town on June 8th. I changed his mind for him.

Rolf: I've already picked a day too. I'll be leaving on the 8th of this very month!I finished up my night with a little diving, followed by a few visits to dream towns.

June Bugs

As soon as I came out of my house today, Big Top met me to tell me he was moving out of town on June 6th. He should know by now that I’m not letting him go anywhere.

Big Top: I know it's sudden, but I'm leaving on the 6th of this month!Daisy was talking about hanging her laundry out in the sun. She said it smells so good that she’ll bury her head in the laundry basket! But wouldn’t that make her laundry smell like dog?

Daisy: It smells so good, sometimes I'll fall asleep with my head buried in the laundry basket.June is here now, and so are fireflies! They only stick around for this month, so enjoy them while you can!

It's firefly season!Lauryn recently restarted her town, so I let her come over to collect fruit, get a haircut, and do some shopping.

Lauryn came over to shop at the Emporium.Over at the campsite, I found Knox the gold knight in the tent. My town is full now, but I’m not particularly interested in Knox anyway.

Knox: I didn't do any research or anything before choosing a place to camp. I think I lucked out with this town!T Zelda saw that my gate was open, and she also dropped by for a short visit.

Lauryn and T Zelda visiting Forest. When I visited Dizzy, he reassured me that he had no plans to eat his pet clownfish. I wasn’t actually wondering about that, but thanks for clarifying.

Dizzy: So even though I DO love seafood, I would NEVER eat my pal clownfish!Once Lauryn got everything she needed, I ended the session. Later on, I went up to the Dream Suite and updated my dream town. Luna told me that Dirk from Oakland was my most recent dream visitor. If he’s a basketball fan, he probably didn’t like seeing all the Cavs stuff. (The Cavs are playing Oakland’s Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals).

Down on the beach, Gulliver was gushing about China for some reason. He’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: It's like there's no way to stop the amazing progress in this country's history. It's downright impressive!I talked to Gulliver some more, even after getting his question correct, and he started talking about how small my town’s port is! Hey! Don’t be rude! You weren’t exactly invited to my port in the first place, bird brain.

Gulliver: I'm not saying it feels TOO small, though. Just, you know, I've seen bigger.

Tom Moves In

This morning, Joan was in town selling turnips. She was charging 103 bells apiece for them, and I bought my usual quantity of 3,100 turnips.

Joan: The asking price is 103 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo?Later on in the afternoon, Dizzy asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find him, Rolf, and Daisy.

Dizzy: We're all going to go hide somewhere in the neighborhood.I found Rolf hiding behind his own house, and Dizzy was behind Kabuki’s house.

Dizzy: Darn. I guess you found me. I never thought you'd look here, for a nut.I then found Daisy trying to hide behind the instrument shelter. Silly dog.

Daisy hiding behind the instrument shelter.Dizzy congratulated me on winning the game and he gave me a lovely carpet as my prize.

After the game, I headed to the new house in town. I went inside to officially welcome Tom to Forest. Me-YOWZA!

Tom: I hope you don't forget to come visit me often! Me-YOWZA!Daisy asked me to collect signatures for a petition called “Ban Bubble Gum on Beaches.” So I headed over to Merka’s town Bribs. While there, I caught up with my former villager Sprinkle.

Sprinkle: Thanks a bunch for coming over to visit me. It's always nice to see a friendly face! But Sprinkle wasn’t the only former Forest resident around; I also asked Drago to sign my petition.

Drago: Wow, long time no see! Don't I seem like a complete Bribs local now?It didn’t take me long to get all of the signatures I needed. In fact, Merka had a hard time believing I was done so quick.

Ban Bubble Gum on Benches signatures: Mac, Kidd, Nate, Sprinkle, Sly, Drago.Back in Forest, I returned the completed petition to Daisy. She thanked me by giving me a classic wall shelf.

Daisy: I've got something for you too, it's ruff. Here.Big Top asked me to make a delivery to Aurora, so I tracked down the penguin and gave her the package (which contained a robo-clock). Aurora thanked me and gave me her picture as my reward. She called her own picture “a good find.” As if she just happened to stumble on it somewhere. Right.

Aurora: It's Aurora's pic! This is a good find, so take good care of it!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Theo from Meowfort was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting!

By the way, I recently put up my first impressions of Splatoon, the new third-person shooter for Wii U. Give it a read if you like–it’s a fun game!
