Today is April Fool’s Day, and it didn’t take long for my villagers to start playing pranks on me. Aurora told me Forest now has enough money to buy the town next door.
Early April also brings pink cherry blossoms on many of the trees in town. Very pretty!
That even includes the town tree in the event plaza.
I spotted Blanca nearby, and she (?) told me she was about to play some pranks on my villagers!
I went to visit Kabuki, and there were two of him in his house! One was the real Kabuki, and the other was Blanca in disguise.
They will each make a statement that you can use to determine who is who. For example, they might say their favorite quote, birthday, or their talent. If you don’t know the answer, you can tell them you don’t know, and then ask again for a different set of statements. I got the question right, so Blanca was revealed.
Kabuki thanked me for knowing him well enough to know he was the real Kabuki, and he gave me his picture as my reward.
I took the picture home and read his favorite quote, “If you make your opponent flinch, you have already won.”
I repeated the process for each villager. Sprinkle told the truth when she said this town can’t handle more than one of her!
Many of the pictures I received were duplicates, so I took them up to my trophy room in the museum. But I was unable to put any of them down in this room! Apparently, there must be a limit of how many items can go in a room.
I put them in a different museum exhibit for the time being.
When I visited Drago, he and his clone were reciting his favorite quote. The real one states his correct quote, which fit the situation perfectly: “There is no room for two dragons in one pond.”
I got my first eight villagers correct, and there was only one to go: Dizzy. The problem is that since Dizzy is fairly new, I didn’t know his birthday or quote, and I didn’t have any of the other clues either. I kept skipping the statements until they got to the favorite quotes. One of them said “All that glitters is not gold.” That did not strike me as something that Dizzy would say. So I handed him the washcloth to wipe off his face…and I was right! That was the fake one! I ended up a perfect nine-for-nine!
Dizzy gave me his picture and told me he’ll visit me in my dreams. Uhh, that’s not necessary…
Dizzy’s real favorite quote is “Keep it mellow.”
After I was done, I found Blanca outside once again. She warned me to be ready for her again next year.
I should be getting Blanca’s picture in the mail tomorrow. Last year, I didn’t get them all correct, so this will be my first time receiving it. See you then!
Oh, and just to add: David from DC was my most recent dream visitor.
I got a letter from Molly, and she thanked me for the medicine I took her. She sent me a little gift, but I wasn’t very happy to receive it; it was a moldy shirt. Ew.
Today’s most recent dream visitor was Fran from Xerain. Yesterday’s visitor when I checked was Gabe from Panem.
So I went to check it out, and Pelly gave me the wig.
I tried it on, but I was not happy with how it looked on me. Even the
The good news is that it can be ordered from the catalog for 1,200 bells. Of course, I don’t plan on ever wearing it again. Maybe it will look better on some of you than it did on me.
For the third day in a row, one of my villagers tried to move out! This time, it was Kabuki, who wanted to move out on April 3rd. I threatened him by telling him I’d make him wear the topknot wig if he didn’t stick around.
Over by my eastern bridge (near where Kidd used to live), I found a lost item on the ground.
After unsuccessfully asking Big Top and Sprinkle about it, I found its owner on my third attempt. The pouch belonged to my squirrel friend Agent S. I bet she keeps her nuts in it.
She thanked me for returning it, and she gave me a hot spring tee as my reward.
