Cyrus Makes a Pizza

As I worked a shift at the Roost yesterday, Big Top was sitting down enjoying a coffee while my other elephant, Dizzy, came up to the counter. It’s not very often there are two elephants in here at the same time. I hope the cafe has a strong foundation! I also noticed that both elephants were wearing identical “Animal Crossing” shirts.

Two elephants walk into a coffee shop...When depositing money into my bank account, I noticed that my balance topped 38 million bells. Bit by bit, I’m inching towards that billionaire badge.

Your current balance is 38,010,000 bells.Tomorrow is Easter, which is known as Bunny Day in Animal Crossing. I put up a new Bunny Day Guide that may help you out as you collect eggs for Zipper. Even if you’ve already participated in Bunny Day last year, it may help to refresh your memory on how the festival works.

Part of my preparations for that guide included checking the selling prices of the egg items. (I still had the items in a museum exhibit from last year). The regular furniture sells for 8,000 bells apiece, but I had to laugh when I saw that Re-Tail only pays 10 bells for Zipper’s pic. Ha! That’s supposed to be the “grand-prize” item too!

Reese: Ooh, Zipper's pic! I can take that item off your hands for 10 bells, if that's OK?I briefly opened my gate so that a green Merka could come over to shop.

Green Merka visits Forest. The green Merka bought a police cap, which made her look like Kermit the cop.

Merka's new police cap and my beak.Over at Re-Tail, Cyrus was making a large vegetarian pizza.

Cyrus makes a pizza. And I found a lost item by the wind turbine.

A lost item on the ground.Hmm, maybe someone was watching the blades spin around until they got dizzy and dropped their book. Yep, it was Dizzy’s, alright!

Dizzy: Oh wow, I never realized how bad my handwriting was. No wonder you couldn't read this chicken scratch. He gave me a blue-zap suit as a reward.

I headed up to the Dream Suite to update my dream town, and Luna told me that Lovebug from SnowPark was my most recent dream visitor.

I also went into Club LOL to check out a Saturday night performance of Surfin’ K.K.  Alli the alligator was also in there, talking about how K.K. Slider is so talented.

Alli: That K.K. Slider is such a talented dog! And every alligator I know agrees with me!That wrapped up my night in Forest, but I’ll be back with a Bunny Day entry tomorrow! Have a good Easter, everyone! And feel free to use my Bunny Day Guide!

Blanca’s Pic

As expected, Blanca sent me a letter in the mail, congratulating me for seeing through her disguises yesterday. I found Blanca’s pic attached to the letter.

To Jeff: Your observation skills are something else! I'm sending you this commemorative gift. -Blanca I went into my house to put the picture on the table. But as I was trying to read it, Kabuki barged in.

Kabuki: What's up?! It's me! You're in there, right? Bucko?!I looked at Blanca’s pic and saw that Blanca’s favorite quote is “Every face tells a story.” I think Kabuki’s face tells the story of a rude intrusion.

Favorite phrase on Blanca's pic: Every face tells a story.Once Kabuki left, I went up to the museum. I still had some extra villager pics in my pockets, and I was determined to put them in the trophy room. But that meant I had to get rid of some of my trophies. I guess that’s reasonable. After all, do I really need a dozen identical fish and bug trophies? I put several of them in my pockets to later sell at Re-Tail.

Trophies and villager pics in my museum exhibit.Hide and Seek Time

When I returned to town, Drago wanted to play some hide-and-seek. I had ten minutes to find him, Molly, and Agent S.

Drago: Hey, cool guy. Wanna play hide-and-seek?Molly was the first one I found; she was hiding behind a tree near the video screen.

Molly: Oh no! You found me!I then found Drago hiding behind Sprinkle’s house and Agent S hiding behind Rolf’s house.

Agent S hiding behind a house. For winning the game, Drago gave me his dollhouse. Uh, thanks.

Drago: You won, cool guy! Since you're so good at hide-and-seek, I'll give you my dollhouse!I finished my night with a walk on the beach. I found Gulliver there; he’s headed to Denmark tomorrow, so he was excited about meeting a mermaid. Good luck with that.

Gulliver: Oh, lovely mermaid princess... I was on my way to your country to meet you at last!

April Fool’s Day 2015

Today is April Fool’s Day, and it didn’t take long for my villagers to start playing pranks on me. Aurora told me Forest now has enough money to buy the town next door.

Aurora: I've got big news! I just heard that Forest has enough money to buy the town next door!Early April also brings pink cherry blossoms on many of the trees in town. Very pretty!

Pink trees. That even includes the town tree in the event plaza.

The pink town tree.I spotted Blanca nearby, and she (?) told me she was about to play some pranks on my villagers!

Blanca: I'll change myself to look just like someone in this town, and then I'll pay that person a surprise visit!I went to visit Kabuki, and there were two of him in his house! One was the real Kabuki, and the other was Blanca in disguise.

Kabuki: Maybe if you would stop being such a jerky faker, we could both just move on!They will each make a statement that you can use to determine who is who. For example, they might say their favorite quote, birthday, or their talent. If you don’t know the answer, you can tell them you don’t know, and then ask again for a different set of statements. I got the question right, so Blanca was revealed.

Blanca: I'm the fake one! That's a bummer! You figured out it was me!Kabuki thanked me for knowing him well enough to know he was the real Kabuki, and he gave me his picture as my reward.

Kabuki: Here's a token of my appreciation, a picture of me, yarnball!I took the picture home and read his favorite quote, “If you make your opponent flinch, you have already won.”

If you make your opponent flinch, you have already won.I repeated the process for each villager. Sprinkle told the truth when she said this town can’t handle more than one of her!

Sprinkle: You need to STOP pretending you're me. This town can't handle more than one Sprinkle! Many of the pictures I received were duplicates, so I took them up to my trophy room in the museum. But I was unable to put any of them down in this room! Apparently, there must be a limit of how many items can go in a room.

You can't put out any more furniture here!I put them in a different museum exhibit for the time being.

When I visited Drago, he and his clone were reciting his favorite quote. The real one states his correct quote, which fit the situation perfectly: “There is no room for two dragons in one pond.”

Drago: There is no room for two dragons in one pond.I got my first eight villagers correct, and there was only one to go: Dizzy. The problem is that since Dizzy is fairly new, I didn’t know his birthday or quote, and I didn’t have any of the other clues either. I kept skipping the statements until they got to the favorite quotes. One of them said “All that glitters is not gold.” That did not strike me as something that Dizzy would say. So I handed him the washcloth to wipe off his face…and I was right! That was the fake one! I ended up a perfect nine-for-nine!

Blanca: I'm the fake one! That's no fun! You saw right through my disguise each and every time!Dizzy gave me his picture and told me he’ll visit me in my dreams. Uhh, that’s not necessary…

Dizzy: A huh huh huh! It's a photo of me! Put it under your pillow, and maybe I'll come visit you in your dreams!Dizzy’s real favorite quote is “Keep it mellow.”

Keep it mellow. After I was done, I found Blanca outside once again. She warned me to be ready for her again next year.

Blanca: How did you manage to do that?! I worked so hard to fool everyone, and you saw right through me!I should be getting Blanca’s picture in the mail tomorrow. Last year, I didn’t get them all correct, so this will be my first time receiving it. See you then!

Oh, and just to add: David from DC was my most recent dream visitor.
