Returning Kabuki’s Bag

Animal Crossing has such a different feel now that the snow is gone and green grass has returned. On my walk around town today, I found a lost item near Sprinkle’s house.

A lost item on the ground.I started asking my villagers about the bag, and eventually I found that it belonged to Kabuki.

Kabuki: Ah! You found it for me?!But then he got scared that I might have looked inside!

Kabuki: You didn't look inside, did you?! ...OK, that's good!
Don’t worry, I won’t tell Copper about your illegal catnip.

He thanked me and gave me a broken post as my reward.

Kabuki: As a token of my thanks, here. Take my broken post with you!
But I didn’t break *your* stuff.

Over by the waterfall, a dejected Snowmam was on her last legs. Or…ball.

Snowmam: The season for snowpeople has come to an end...But she said her last goodbye. So long, Snowmam. It’s been ice knowing you.

Snowmam: I hope to see you next winter! I must be going soon! Not much else was going on in town today. But I’ll be back tomorrow with a new Dream Suite Adventure! It should be fun, so I hope you’ll give it a look.

Green Grass Returns!

Last night, Drago asked me to take an item to Octavian. Once I made the delivery, Octavian was thrilled to receive the item–a men’s toilet! How exciting! I bet it was #1 on his wish list.

Octavian: Oh yeah, I've been waiting for this! It's a men's toilet! He rewarded me by giving me a pink pj shirt. He said if I didn’t like it, to just pretend that he gave me pajamas instead. But…a pj shirt is pajamas!

Octavian: It's a pink pj shirt! If you don't like my gift, just act like I gave you pajamas instead!I changed my path from frosty ice bricks to green bricks, to coincide with the coming of spring. And today, I was greeted with lots of green grass on the title screen. What a welcome sight!

Animal Crossing: New Leaf title screen.I wish winter ended this early in real life! But it’s nice to see some greenery, even if it’s only in Animal Crossing. Here’s a picture of me sitting on my metal bench in Forest’s central park.

Sitting on the bench. But I know at least one person isn’t happy to see the melting of the snow: Snowmam. You know she’s got to be panicking right about now, even if she’s putting on a cool facade.

A Snowmam surrounded by green grass. She asked me to turn on the air conditioner. She’s clearly in the begging/bargaining stage.

Snowmam: The unbearable heat... I don't think I can take anymore! Someone turn on the air conditioner! The change of weather seemed to make Rolf want to leave town. He told me he was going to move out on March 1st!

Rolf: I'll be leaving on the 1st of next month! After that, I'm gone! But of course, I made him stay right here. You’re not going anywhere, tiger.

Saharah was in town today, so I hired her for some interior decorating. She put in a blue-trim wall and autumn floor.

A blue-trim wall and autumn floor. When I was done with my tasks around town, I went up to Main Street for my shopping run. I updated my dream town, and Luna told me that Maike from the town of Teddy was my most recent dream visitor.

See you all next time! Enjoy the green grass and arrival of spring!

Winter is Winding Down

I dug up a fossil near my cliff today. You can’t exactly see it, but trust me, it’s there.

Look! I dug up a fossil!Even though my perfect snowmam was still alive today (barely), I built another one to take me through the rest of winter. In other words, tomorrow. The snow will be gone on Wednesday, so this will be my last snowperson for at least nine months or so.

Snowmam: This balance... I'm perfect! For the first time in a while, there was an igloo at the campsite. Unless there’s another one tomorrow (unlikely, but possible), this will be the last igloo of the season.

The last igloo of winter.Caroline the red squirrel was inside. She already camped here in an igloo just last month!

Caroline: I love hearing the crackle of a fire at a winter campground. There's something so magical about it.When I went up to Main Street later on, I saw the northern lights up in the sky.

The Northern Lights on Main Street.Luna told me my most recent dream visitor was Samantha from Aberdeen.

Even though it was quite late by this point, Kabuki acted like he was just getting started for the day.

Kabuki: I guess ME TIME is about to start. Good! GAHAHA! Tiger!I went down to the beach and took another picture of the northern lights. I took a good look, because this might be the last time for a while.

Northern lights on the beach.I found Gulliver on the beach, and he was talking about kimchi and Tae Kwon Do. That meant he’s headed to South Korea, and he’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: ...Do you doubt me? KICK!I’ll see you all next time!
