Ogre’s Wig (Nintendo Zone DLC)

As I started up the game today, Pete handed me this letter from Nintendo. Now through March 14th, the ogre’s wig is available at Nintendo Zone locations (in America, at least).

From 3/1 to 3/14, the ogre's wig is available via Nintendo Zone!If you have trouble getting to a Nintendo Zone location (or can’t get it to work), you may be able to get it another way. If you have a wireless router, change the name of it (the SSID) to “attwifi” (all lowercase, without the quotes). Then go to the post office in the game and ask for the downloadable item. This may not work for everyone, but it’s worth a try if you’re having trouble getting the item otherwise.

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new ogre's wig!Pelly gave me mine, and I tried it on. Wow, this thing is ugly!

Me trying on the ogre's wig.The good news is that, unlike the last couple of Nintendo Zone downloads, the ogre’s wig can be ordered from your catalog. It’ll only cost you 1,200 bells. But for me, one is probably more than enough.

Ogre's wig - 1,200 bells.Back in town, Kabuki asked me for a butterfly. I agreed to help him out.

Kabuki: Any kind would do. Think you can snag a butterfly for me?Now that it’s March, it is butterfly season once again…at least during the day. But I was playing at night, so I took a trip out to the island to look for an emperor butterfly there. After about ten minutes of searching, I still hadn’t found any butterflies. But then I remembered that I might have one in my dock box. I checked, and indeed I did have one there.

So I returned to the mainland and gave the butterfly to Kabuki. He rewarded me with his potty! Wow, this thing really gets around.

Kabuki: Take my potty as a token of my gratitude. When I updated my dream town, Luna told me that Colin from the town of Cupcake (mmm) was my most recent dream visitor.

By the way, I didn’t play the game this morning, so I was unable to buy turnips for this week. I’ll see you all next time! Good luck getting the ogre’s wig!

I’m Choking! Call an Octopus!

Yesterday, Reese was buying turnips for 144 bells each. Since the week was almost over, I sold all of my turnips.

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 144 bells.I took a dream visit to the town of Nyoomore. All of the residents there are sheep, and it’s quite a pretty town as well. Check out my Dream Suite Adventure of Nyoomore for more pictures and the dream address.

Flower arch in Nyoomore. You may have heard a lot about “The Dress” online the last couple days. Well, this is “the shirt.” Is it blue and black or white and gold? 😛

Instead of "The Dress," it's "The Shirt." Blue and black or gold and white?

Today, Big Top wanted to talk to Octavian, but his legs were cramping up. So he asked me to go fetch Octavian for him.

Big Top: Is it true that bananas can cure cramps? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. So I went to get the local octopus and brought him back to Big Top’s house. Big Top then told him he was choking on pizza crust and needed Octavian to get it out! I guess he needed Octavian’s tentacles to reach down his throat? Ew.

Big Top: Octavian! I'm choking on a piece of pizza crust! You've gotta help me! Get it out! Get it out!But as Big Top was yelling all of that, the pizza crust came out on its own. (Double ew). Big Top then just told Octavian he only wanted to say hello.

Big Top: Anyway, I just wanted to say hello. That's all. You can go now.Of course, Octavian wasn’t happy about being called over just for a “hello,” so he called Big Top a twerp.

Octavian: You called me here for that? Just hello? You twerp!Octavian went home, and Big Top thanked me by giving me a lovely wooden box. Oh joy.

Big Top: Oh, yeah. I almost forgot I have a present for you. Here--a wooden box!I then went up to Main Street. In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Rene’ from Forest was my most recent dream visitor.

When I returned home, I liked how my house looked in the misty moonlight.

My house in the misty moonlight. And over at the event plaza, I noticed that leaves are returning to the town tree. I enjoy the spring; it’s like the world is waking back up and coming to life once again.

Returning Kabuki’s Bag

Animal Crossing has such a different feel now that the snow is gone and green grass has returned. On my walk around town today, I found a lost item near Sprinkle’s house.

A lost item on the ground.I started asking my villagers about the bag, and eventually I found that it belonged to Kabuki.

Kabuki: Ah! You found it for me?!But then he got scared that I might have looked inside!

Kabuki: You didn't look inside, did you?! ...OK, that's good!
Don’t worry, I won’t tell Copper about your illegal catnip.

He thanked me and gave me a broken post as my reward.

Kabuki: As a token of my thanks, here. Take my broken post with you!
But I didn’t break *your* stuff.

Over by the waterfall, a dejected Snowmam was on her last legs. Or…ball.

Snowmam: The season for snowpeople has come to an end...But she said her last goodbye. So long, Snowmam. It’s been ice knowing you.

Snowmam: I hope to see you next winter! I must be going soon! Not much else was going on in town today. But I’ll be back tomorrow with a new Dream Suite Adventure! It should be fun, so I hope you’ll give it a look.
