Saharah was in town this evening, and I paid her for some new wallpaper and carpeting. She put in this sky wall and red tile for me.
Today is the day that Dizzy the elephant moved into town. I went in his house to meet him, and he seems pretty cool. He told me he moved from a town called Pace. That name doesn’t sound familiar, so it must be the town of someone I’ve StreetPassed.
However, he didn’t want the other animals to know about him just yet. He wants to surprise everyone once he’s all unpacked. Okay, I guess I’ll try to ignore the elephant in the room.
Back outside, I’ve noticed all of my previous snowpeople are gone. I haven’t been very diligent about building them lately, so I decided to make a new snowmam tonight.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Bambi from Morimint was my most recent dream visitor.

I wrapped up my evening with some late-night diving. Not only am I trying to work towards the diving badge, but I think I’ve only seen Pascal two or three times. I’d like to get all of his items at least once. I did catch one scallop tonight, but Pascal didn’t pop up and ask for it. My pockets weren’t even full!
I also saw Drago on the beach and I had a short chat with him. He was telling me about his friendship with Octavian: He would share a juice box with Octavian, but not ice cream.
Who would want to share a juice box with an octopus? That’s just gross. Especially if he left his ink all over the straw. Ew.
Just a note that I’ve updated my town page to include Dizzy’s arrival.
But that was still nearly 50% more than I paid, so I sold the remainder of my turnips at that price. It’s a good thing I sold when I did too, because the prices plummeted to 48 bells in the afternoon.
But who is the mystery villager? Dizzy the lazy elephant. I’m not sure if I’ll like him or not, but I guess time will tell. For the first time since Tia left town, Big Top won’t be the only elephant around.
I saw an igloo at the campsite, and my heart dropped. What if the surprise arrival of Dizzy prevented me from getting a good villager I actually wanted? But when I went inside, I saw the camper was Simon the monkey. He’s okay I guess, but I think I would have taken Dizzy over Simon anyway.
As I ran around town, I kept falling on my face. Another bad luck day already?
Katrina’s shop was already closed, so I had no choice but to live with my bad luck for the rest of the day. I ended up with a mouth full of ice chips, dirt, and bugs.
She said it was wonderful, so I thought she really liked it. Until she gave me a garbage can in return. What a sarcastic little penguin.
I checked for new DLC at the post office, and I saw that the Aquarius urn is available now. Don’t forget to pick yours up!
I put it in my house, and I like the way it looks. It goes well with an ice or water-themed room.
Today, Reese was buying turnips for 164 bells each. The price has been slowly rising the past few days, so I think there’s a good chance it may be even higher tomorrow morning. But a price of 164 this late in the week is enough for me to sell a good chunk of my turnips to ensure a profit regardless of what may happen tomorrow. So I sold about two-thirds of my turnips.
Molly asked me to join in a game of hide-and-seek, and I agreed to play. She gave me ten minutes to find her, Big Top, and Aurora.
I started a clockwise search around Forest, and I was not having much luck. I was nearly back to the starting point before I found my first hider (Molly). I figured one of the others was probably down on the beach, since it seems unlikely that I’d miss two villagers when I thought I did a fairly thorough job of seeking. And sure enough, Aurora was hiding behind a banana tree.
But I was down to about two minutes remaining, and I hadn’t found Big Top. It’s not a good sign if you can’t find a hiding elephant. But as I began my second trip around town, I finally found him hiding behind his own house!
I had a tougher time than usual, but I still won the game. Molly gave me a lab wall as my prize.
Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Homero from Kuma was my most recent dream visitor.
