Unlikely Place for a Lost Item

In my mail today was a letter from Gulliver. He sent me this hula doll from Hawaii. Aloha!

A hula doll from Gulliver.Unfortunately, it was a nice, sunny day in Forest. Kidd offered to sell me a graceful painting for 7,840 bells. Even though I already have one of those in the museum, I decided to buy it.

Kidd: I feel much better about parting with my graceful painting knowing that YOU bought it.At the top of the cliff by my zen bell, I saw a lost item down on the beach below.

A lost item on the private beach.Since it was the private beach, I had to put on my wet suit and swim over there to pick it up. I assume someone must’ve dropped it off the cliff, because I’ve never seen the animals do any swimming. Not even Octavian!

I started asking my villagers if the lost item belonged to them. But before I could ask Gala, she pinged me. She wanted to give me a new nickname: Mr. J.

Gala: Umm... How about Mr. J?Most of the nicknames in the game seem to be mushy pet names like dearie, cookie, and cupcake. So I’m glad she chose something a bit more fitting for a guy, even if it is a bit formal.

I spoke to Gala again and found that the lost item was indeed hers. She thanked me and gave me her comfy sweater. That may be a nice gesture, but I’m not sure I want to wear something that was previously worn by a pig. I can just picture her rolling in the mud with this on…no wonder she’s giving it away!

Gala: In fact, I'd like to give you a reward. It's not much, but how about my comfy sweater?Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Jake from Hawaii was my most recent dream visitor. And I held a short giveaway for my graceful painting. Mew from Kittan was the winner, so I dropped it off at her town.

Making a delivery to Mew.After that, I returned to the Dream Suite to visit Ethan’s dream town of Habitat (dream address 7500-2158-2503). I put on some clothes that were nearby and took this picture in a colorful part of town, near a bench.

Colorful flowers and patterns in Habitat.I went inside a house to visit Goldie the dog, and she said she had a dream about meeting a new friend.

Goldie: Maybe that's you, woof.I also spoke with some other cute villagers, including Kiki and Fauna.

Fauna: I hope you have a good time in this dreamy dreamland!Habitat is a very nice town that’s definitely worth a look. If you have the Dream Suite and want another cool town to visit, Habitat would make a great choice.

Midnight Rain

It was raining again in Forest tonight. And once again, Molly was enjoying the moisture.

Molly: I never thought I'd meet someone who likes strolling on rainy nights as much as I do, waddle!Gala was talking about a dream visitor named d34 from the town of Old Yes. She said that d34 was a pro listener.

Gala: I had a very strange dream about someone called d34 from Old Yes.Wendy was online, and she asked to come over to shop. But then I realized my stores closed in just one minute! I went to open my gate and then ran to the Emporium, but it closed just seconds before I reached the door. Wendy still came over for a visit, however. She commented on how it’s always raining in Forest, suggesting that it should be called Pourest instead.

Wendy: Forest? More like Pourest!Drago was discussing the rain too, wishing that it was grape soda instead.

Drago: Wouldn't it be great if the sky rained grape soda instead of water, if I die?Gulliver was down on the beach, but he was dead. Or unconscious.

R.I.P. GulliverIt was getting late, so I ended the session. And as soon as I came out of the train station, Drago pinged me. He wanted to move out of town on September 28th. But I made him stay.

Drago: Don't freak out, but I'm planning on moving away on the 28th of this month. And with the gate closed, I was able to wake up Gulliver. He was clearly on his way to Hawaii, so he’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Gulliver: On the beach next to the clear, blue sea, people gyrate their hips to dance the hula while in grass skirts!

September Dreamin’

When I started up the game this morning, I saw something I didn’t want to see: Katie. The last time Katie was here on a Sunday, she made me miss out on my chance at buying turnips. But fortunately, I remembered that she can block Joan, so I opened my gate. This makes Katie disappear, so I could hunt for Joan as usual. And I found her pretty quickly this time, too. She was selling turnips for 94 bells each, and I bought 3,400 of them.

Joan: The asking price is 94 bells per turnip. What do you think, kiddo? After buying my turnips, I saved and quit the game for a few hours. I came back to it later this evening. As I went in to visit Big Top, I saw that Rolf was also there visiting him.

Rolf: Yo! Are you here to see Big Top? Me too!But seeing two villagers in one house made me remember something that I saw yesterday: A birthday reminder on the bulletin board!

Happy birthday, Octavian! We all wish you a wonderful new year of life! That’s right, I saw that sign yesterday and I forgot all about it! I missed Octavian’s birthday! I bet he’s going to slap me eight times now! And I have a feeling I won’t be getting his picture anytime soon. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

Agent S asked me for some fruit, so I gave her a perfect peach. And I was treated to this dialogue which could only take place in the world of Animal Crossing: “Thanks for the fruit. Please have a scarecrow.”

Agent S: Thanks for the fruit! Please have a scarecrow!Over in my campsite, there was a yellow, French froggy. I’m sure he would have liked to dive into some deep conversation, but I quickly sailed out of there.

Cousteau: I'll just stay here for a little while. Nice to meet you, oui oui.Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Keira from Heaven was my most recent dream visitor. In fact, she was apparently visitor #6000!

Luna: Records state the number of clients who have experienced a dream about Forest is 6,000.I also had a dream of Suzy’s town Rainbow (dream address 5000-2428-6314). While it’s not as developed as the towns featured inĀ Jeff’s Dream Suite Adventures, it’s a decent town with some areas that look quite nice.

The town of Rainbow. But it does have one thing I really dislike: Jambette.

Ack! A Jambette sighting!Seeing her again made me think Cousteau isn’t so bad after all. Forget the Dream Suite, they should call it the Nightmare Suite.
