Last Bug-Off of 2014

This afternoon, I headed over to the event plaza, where Nat was hosting the final Bug-Off competition of 2014.

Nat: Would you believe this is the final Bug-Off of the season? Terrible shame, but don't let it affect you!I was a bit too lazy to actually catch some bugs, but I grabbed some out of my dock box. I first gave Nat an emperor butterfly, and it scored 91 points. That was good enough for first place, and he rewarded me with a cicada stereo. I then gave him goliath beetle, and it scored 99 points and earned me a mini butterfly table. My third and final bug was a cyclommatus stag; it scored only 96 points and did not earn me a prize.

When 6:00 came, my 99-point goliath beetle finished as the top bug of the show. I won!

Celebrating a Bug-Off win!Agent S and Gala finished second and third, respectively, each with tiger butterflies. Back outside, Molly congratulated me on the win.

Molly: Congratulations on your award, cookie! How did you get so good at catching bugs?I took my prizes up to the second floor of the museum to take a look at them. Here is the mini butterfly table on the left and the cicada stereo on the right.

The mini butterfly table and cicada stereo.Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Mario101 from Gameland was my most recent dream visitor. I also went into Club LOL to catch a Saturday night performance from K.K. I asked the singing dog for a sad song, and he played Two Days Ago for me.

K.K.: Here's a jam that makes the blues seem like old news... Two Days Ago.Madisyn asked to come over to shop, so I opened my gate for a bit. In Able Sisters, she was drooling over the crown. At least that’s what she said. I think she was drooling over that cow skull instead.

A crown and a cow skull on sale at Able Sisters. In Nook Homes, we started talking about states that begin with the letter O. There are three of them: Ohio, Oregon, and Oklahoma. I told Madisyn that Origami used to be a state, but it folded. šŸ˜›

Jeff: Origami, but it folded. In the museum shop, a burglar’s head (or maybe a very large chocolate chip) was on display. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of eating a chocolate chip that had eyes, so I chose not to buy it.

A very odd museum exhibit.

Friday Night Witchcraft?

At 10:00 tonight, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Wendy, T Zelda, and Madisyn came over to visit. We started talking about new types of villagers that should be in the next Animal Crossing game. I suggested batmen!

Jeff: Batmen! Madisyn: Hedgehogs!TZ corrected me, telling me that I meant bats, not batmen. She also shot down my suggestions about catwomen and wombatmen.

T Zelda: Uh no.We moved over to my town tree, but I was still trying to name future villagers. I suggested there should be some Zelda references, such as Kiki the monkey from A Link to the Past.

Jeff: Zelda the zebra.I saw a witch, and I tried to burn her at the stake. But nobody brought matches, so the idea never really ignited.

Jeff: Burn her at the stake!Since the witch survived, I decided to use her as a decoration in my Halloween themed room!

Wendy: Next to Tabby.Later on, she made some nice green soup for us all! It was mmm-mmm-good!

Jeff: Phlegmtastic! We hung out in several different rooms in my house. The witch even made me hover on a leaf in mid-air!

Hovering on a leaf bed?Around 11:30 or so, TZ left for the night. The rest of us gathered around the bulletin board.

All of us trying to read the bulletin board.Madisyn suggested that we go up to Club LOL. But first, I showed her how to stick her head into the grave.

Madisyn using the gravestone standee.Madisyn and I went inside the club, and we started dancing. Benedict was also there, flapping his wings like a spring chicken.

Benedict flapping his wings in Club LOL.But around 11:45, Wendy said she was going to leave for the night. And before she left out the gate, Madisyn had to go too. Since everyone was leaving, I just decided to end the session and call it a night. Thanks for coming, guys!

And thank you all for visiting the blog. Have a great weekend!

Happy birthday, Jessica!

Turnip Jackpot in Pawnee

Sprinkle asked me to make a delivery to Octavian this evening, and Octavian was shocked. He thought he’d never get the item back!

Octavian: Wow, I never expected Sprinkle to ever return anything. Guess pigs will start flying now! GAHAHA!And then Gala flew by.

Drago had a flea on him, so I used my net to catch it. He was relieved to be rid of it.

Drago: Thanks. I should probably take more baths, if I die.Saharah was in town, and I paid her to redecorate the main room of my house. But she must be more colorblind than I am, because she put in a lovely floor and a stone wall. That did not match my emerald furniture at all!

A lovely floor and stone wall.Wendy make a quick visit to drop off Katie (the same Katie I gave her a few days ago).

Katie: Thanks for bringing me here!Getting Katie again is not my favorite thing in the world. But Wendy made it up to me, big time. Her Re-Tail was buying turnips for a whopping 569 bells apiece!

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 569 bells.I sold my 3,400 turnips for a grand total of 1,934,600 bells! That’s nearly two million bells! Wow! Thanks, Wendy! Despite the outfit she’s wearing, Wendy is definitely not a witch!

Wendy also posted on theĀ friend code exchange pageĀ and allowed other people to sell their turnips too. That was very nice of her. She was grateful that most of the people gave her a tip, too.

She also showed me which villager is moving into her town: It’s Frita the french fry sheep.

This spot reserved for Frita's new home. -Nook's HomesShe also showed me the area by her fence, where she has black and orange roses for Halloween.

Wendy's orange and black roses. She also has this zen bell surrounded by white roses in the jungle.

Wendy's zen bell. Her town is looking great. If you want to see it for yourself, go to your Dream Suite and travel to dream address 5800-4291-8345.

When I returned to Forest, I put my money in the bank. My balance is up to 21,950,000 bells. It’s only been a week since I reached 20 million, and now I’ll probably hit 22 million in the next day or two.

Your current balance is 21,950,000 bells.
