As I started up the game this morning, Isabelle told me something I was not expecting to hear. She told me to say goodbye to Nan, because she’s all packed up and moving out! Normally when animals give you a moving date, that’s the date they will be packed up in boxes. But Nan told me she was moving on the 30th, and yet she was in boxes on the 29th!
Eventually, I think I figured out the glitch that caused the problem. When Nan told me her moving date, I took a picture for that day’s blog entry. But when I looked at the date/time of that picture, I saw it was taken at 12:01 a.m. on June 25th–just after midnight. Animal Crossing days start at 6 a.m., while calendar days start at midnight.
The game apparently determined the moving date to be five days from that moment. In terms of Animal Crossing days, that was still the 24th. So that means Nan would move out on June 29th. But five days from that moment in terms of calendar days would be June 30th–the date Nan gave me as the moving date. So if an animal decides on a moving date after midnight, be careful–they may be moving out a day earlier than what they tell you.
I tried to get ahold of the-nice-cat, who I was planning on giving Nan to, but I wasn’t successful. But I’ll have more about that later on this entry.
In other news, Forest is now officially a Night Owl town again! I’ll actually be able to shop and sell things most days now!
I tracked down Joan to buy some turnips. She was selling them for 109 bells each, and I bought 1,100 of them for a total of 119,900 bells.
I got a bunch of StreetPasses today, and that included a whopping six New Leaf houses in the Happy Homes Showcase.
Mayor Brent from Beemo had this western-themed room. Surprisingly, I don’t recall seeing a western room in New Leaf before.
And Mayor Fish from Giha is clearly a big fan of My Little Pony.
As for Nan, I knew of a tip from Leo’s cycling guide that can be used to prevent overnight voiding of a villager. Hopefully I can save Nan and the-nice-cat will be able to pick her up tomorrow. If it doesn’t work out for any reason, I hope that the-nice-cat will be able to forgive me.
I was unaware of this glitch where it reports the wrong moving date. Hopefully by me posting about it here, other people will be aware of it too. I’ll let you all know how it turns out in tomorrow’s blog entry, so I’ll see you then.
I updated my dream town, and Luna told me Baober from Bailiwik was my most recent dream visitor. I headed over to Tom’s town and I let him catalog my smoker. Aggie was also there. As for Tom, he was wearing his Tingle hood.
I also spoke with Marshal, and he thought I came over just to hear the latest gossip about Tom!
Tom and I were blowing bubbles at Aggie, who was away from her 3DS.
Tom did some glitching, and he began swimming in mid-air.
His battery light turned red, so he quickly ended the party.
And then he flat out said he wasn’t too wild about it. Thanks a lot.
But aside from my present, he seemed to be enjoying his birthday. He was singing/whistling and dancing, as was Molly.
Before I was done for the day, I headed up to Club LOL to catch a performance from K.K. See you all next time!
Shortly after 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. T. Zelda, Wendy, and Squishy came over to visit. Squishy caught up with her former villager, Agent S.
It was raining again, and Rolf suggested I didn’t care if it was rain or broccoli falling from the sky. Sure I do! I don’t want broccoli falling unless it’s raining ranch dip too!
I went in my house to take a picture of the smoker, which was next to the Cancer table. I felt like a DLC model.
T. Zelda and Squishy noticed they have the same eyes, so they called themselves twins. There’s a pink twin and a purple twin.
Frank has some boxing themed furniture in his house, and I found T. Zelda down for the count. Frank must have knocked her out!
Back outside, we spotted a jolly green giant on my bridge!
We then headed out to the island for some tours. We started with an ancient fish encoun-tour, and I thought I was doing well. But T. Zelda ended up winning. After a hide-and-seek tour and an item-matching tour, we finished up with a dragonfly-catching tour. I finally won one!
We returned to Forest and T. Zelda left for the night. Wendy referred to Gala as Lady Gala, so we started making pig puns.
And no Friday night is complete without some stump glitching.
Shortly after midnight, Annissa came over to visit. I hadn’t seen her in a long time. We all went up to Main Street and did some glitching there. After glitching into the pond by the museum, I told them I was King Zora.
And Wendy was a bush.
As I continued glitching, Squishy showed me her Tingle hat. Oh, is there such a thing?
Apparently, Katrina will (rarely) offer it for sale once she has opened up her shop! I had no idea! I need to start going to see Katrina now!
But before long, I decided to call it a night and end the party. Have a glitch-free weekend, everyone!
