Friday the 13th

It was raining in Forest tonight. For Big Top, that meant he got to skip taking a shower. But let me tell you, a wet elephant does not smell very good at all. Use some soap next time, big guy.

Big Top: I'll save you! The only good thing about rain is that you can skip a shower that day!At 10:00, I opened my gate and Wendy and T. Zelda came over to visit. I noticed that Wendy was from the town of Pawnee! She downloaded a digital copy of New Leaf and she named her new town Pawnee (from Parks and Recreation).

Wendy from Pawnee has just arrived in Forest.I hadn’t fully played the game for the day yet, so I was surprised when T. Zelda told me I had a camper. It was Bluebear the…blue bear.

Bluebear: Hey! Look, I know it's kinda sudden, but I've decided to set up camp here.Agent S told me about a dream she had, where she ate sauerkraut off of a surfboard and drank buttermilk out of seashells. I was afraid to ask what she used for a toilet.

Agent S: Everyone was sipping the most delicious buttermilk out of seashells! We sat at the town tree to view my town history in the rain.

Sitting at the town tree.I wondered if Skye (the wolf) didn’t care for my visitors much. Because she told me how to send them all home.

Skye: That sends everyone back to their own town at once.We hung out in my house and talked about Tomodachi Life and some of the E3 announcements.

T Zelda: BTW Jeff did you saw the E3T Zelda: Pac-Man is finally choosenIn the basement, we started talking about gold things such as golden toilet paper and edible gold. (But not edible toilet paper).

Sitting in my gold room.My town still never filled up after an hour, so I suggested we go out to the island anyway. The rain continued on the boat ride there.

Taking the boat out to the island.Once we arrived, we went on a tuna-catching tour, a dragonfly-catching tour, and a hide-and-seek tour. T. Zelda won the fishing and bug tours, and I believe Wendy (unofficially) won the hide-and-seek tour by finding two of the four hiding villagers.

Tortimer: T Zelda gets 3 medals, Jeff gets 2 medals, and Wendy gets 1 medal! After that, we returned to Forest and T. Zelda left for the night. I perceived a plethora of perfect peaches to pick, and Wendy offered to let me sell them in her town. So I loaded up on peaches, while she collected other types of fruit for her town, and then we headed to Pawnee. Including what I had in storage, I had exactly 100 perfect peaches. I sold them all for 300,000 bells on the dot.

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 300,000 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?Pawnee is a nice town; her town tree is right in the center of town, and her starting villagers are pretty cool too. I made sure to say hello to Genji, who is a long-time resident of my GameCube town.

Genji: I'm Genji! Hope we can be buddies! After a while, she ended the party for the night.

It’s Friday the 13th, but I completely forgot to put on a hockey mask and try to kill everyone with an axe. Oh well, maybe next time. Have a good weekend!

Gifts From Space

I made the right decision by selling my turnips yesterday. Today, the price dropped way down to 41 bells!

Reese: Currently, I'm buying each turnip for 41 bells.Agent S asked me for some furniture, so I gave her a customized blue clock. She liked it, and she gave me an asteroid. It’s kind of an odd reward, but I guess I’ll take it.

Agent S: It's an asteroid! Thanks so much! When I went to visit Gala, she asked me for a nice, juicy peach. Sure you don’t want an apple?

Gala: I'm sooo hungry right now. I could really go for a nice, juicy peach...I gave her a perfect peach, and she rewarded me with an astro wall. First an asteroid and now an astro wall? I’m beginning to think my villagers are aliens.

Now that Nan has called off her move, another villager has asked to move out. Unfortunately, it’s Rolf, who wanted to move out on June 17th. But he’s not going anywhere.

Rolf: I guess I'll stay in Forest for a little while longer and continue bothering people a bit more!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Klesti from Racoon was my most recent dream visitor.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Klesti from Racoon enjoyed your dream.Saharah was in town, and I paid her to redecorate. She installed this green wall and fancy carpet. Yuuuuck!

A green wall and fancy carpet.Friday Night Forest returns tomorrow, so you can expect the blog entry to be late. Hope to see you then!

Stay or Goat?

As I was in the police station today, I noticed that the windows have bars on them. I can’t believe I hadn’t noticed that before! Copper doesn’t use the building as a jail though, so it’s probably not necessary.

Bars on the police station windows. When I visited Kidd, he seemed worried about losing the other goat in town.

Kidd: Are you OK with that? Shouldn't we go to her place and tell her to stay? We gotta stop her from leaving!Nibbles the squirrel was at the campsite today, talking about the voices in her head.

Nibbles: This trip was SO last minute, but I'm totally glad I listened to that little voice inside my head! And I made the huge mistake of talking to Nan. She mentioned how she was leaving in two days, and I said good luck. But she did what I didn’t want her to do: She changed her mind. Sorry to the-nice-cat, who I was going to give Nan to. (By the way, your Tumblr doesn’t allow asks, so I couldn’t message you directly).

Nan: Aww, I can't move now! Not after realizing we could become even better friends if I stay!I was thinking that as long as she didn’t ping me, I could still talk to her. But clearly, I was wrong. Hopefully she’ll ask to move out again soon.

Re-Tail was buying turnips for 148 bells today. And I know that’s not a huge amount. But I’ve noticed several times lately, that the prices have peaked around 150 on Wednesday, only to plummet to the 40-60 bell range the next day. Skye (the human) bailed me out the past couple weeks, but I didn’t want to take any chances this time. So I sold my 1,200 turnips for 177,600 bells.

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 177,600 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Philip from Broadway was my most recent dream visitor. After shopping and checking out the Happy Homes Showcase, I went out to the island. I went on an elite gardening tour, but I finished with only 46 seconds left on the clock. That earned me a bronze Tortimer award and five medals. Still, my character looked pretty happy.

Celebrating a successful gardening tour. And later on, I gave away a bubble wand to Linda from Nonary.

I arrive in Linda's town.
