Welcome, Frank

Frank the cranky green eagle has moved into town today, so I went to say hello to him.

Frank: I used to live in Astoria, and it wasn't such a bad place either, but I think this place will be right cozy.He told me he used to live in Astoria…and I’m not sure if that’s the town of someone on my roster or if he came from a StreetPass tag. If anyone on my roster has that town name and recently had Frank move out, please let me know!

By the way, I’ve updated my town page to reflect Frank’s arrival. I didn’t need to update the map, because Frank lives in the same spot that Tia did, basically. Updating it might shift his house one pixel to the right, and that’s it. 😀

I had a camper over at the campsite; it was Mathilda the kangaroo. She said she’s been thinking about moving into town. Ha, good luck with Frank taking up my 10th villager spot!

Mathilda: It's a great place you've got here. I've actually been thinking about moving here permanently. And she seemed to be covering her child’s eyes when she said that…which makes no sense.

Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Fellony from Moldy St. was my most recent dream visitor. I’m sure it’s a nice town, despite the mold.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Fellony from Moldy St enjoyed your dream.Gulliver was down on the beach, wondering where he was going.

Gulliver: Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure I was on my way to someplace or another, since, y'know, I'm a sailor. It turns out he was going to Kenya next. He hopes to fit in with the wild animals there.

Gulliver: the next time we meet, I bet I'll be known as Gulliver of the Wild!So he’ll be sending me a gift from Kenya in the mail tomorrow.

Frankly I’m Disappointed

I went looking for Joan this morning to buy turnips. Along the way, I found something unexpected: a house plot. Frank will be moving in tomorrow.

This spot reserved for Frank's new home. -Nook's HomesTia just moved out, so I was looking forward to having a little freedom to ask a camper to move in, if I chose to. Now that option is out the window. I’m not sure if Frank is from a friend’s town or from a StreetPass, but I should find out tomorrow. The only good thing is that his house is in a good spot. It’s almost exactly in the same spot as Tia’s house, just shifted to the right by one square.

Anyway, I eventually tracked down Joan. She was telling turnips for 109 bells today, which I believe is as high as they can be. I bought 1,100 of them.

Joan: So 1,100 turnips comes out to be 119,900 bells altogether. Do you wanna buy them?Later, I was trying to put my turnips in storage when Molly barged in.

Molly pops in for a visit.Fortunately, she left pretty quickly after I sat down and ignored her. Later on, Ryan came over to get petition signatures for Kid Cat.

Ryan and Jeff standing in the park.Naturally, he was able to get Big Top and Agent S to support the cause of their fellow superhero.

Jeff: Heroes unite!Once he got his signatures, I ended the party. Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Just from Tectown was my most recent dream visitor. I checked out the Happy Homes Showcase and I had three visitors there. One of them was Ian, and he gave me a bubble wand.

My new bubble wand from Ian.One of the StreetPass homes had a cosmos fan, which is a piece of the Weeding Day furniture. It’s pretty cool.

A cosmos fan.I went out to my island, and the gift shop there had an orange wet suit today! I think that’s the first time I’ve seen the orange wet suit for sale.

Grams: Aye. An orange wet suit. Ye be needin' one if ye wanna swim in the sea!Kim came over to buy one of them, and later Jessica came over to buy a princess chair that was on sale at GracieGrace.

Jessica shops at GracieGrace.

Visiting Tomville & Charvale

Tia is now officially a former resident of Forest. I got her goodbye letter in the mail today; her picture was also attached.

Tia's goodbye letter. It was a sunny day in Forest, and Rolf was making bad jokes about the weather. That’s my job, pal.

Rolf: How about this weather, huh? It's like the sun's taken a...shine...to us! You get it? Tiger!I found a lost item, and I had to speak to eight different villagers before I found its owner. It was a comic book that belonged to Big Top. After I gave it back to him. he thanked me by giving me a bamboo shoot.

Big Top: "Fountain Pen Man" issue #9 is a total collector's item! It's good to have it back!Up at my Dream Suite, I updated my dream town. While I was there, Luna told me that Sumi from Drodaira was my most recent dream visitor.

I saw Tom online for the first time in a long time, and he invited me over to his town. He showed me a glitch involving the instrument shelter. If you’re holding a shovel when you go up to check it, you’ll put your shovel away…only to bring it back out before the weather status pops up!

Checking the instrument shelter with my shovel out. While I was in Tom’s town, his friends Colby and Alexis also came over to visit.

A visitor arrives.Kabuki was camping at Tom’s campsite. I wouldn’t mind if he showed up in mine!

Kabuki: This is the first time I've ever been here. It's not a bad little town! You agree, right?Tom invited us to watch some performances from K.K., so I headed up to Club LOL. Tom and Alexis were already in mid-song, so I ran around and used a bunch of emotions as they were enjoying the show.

I sat down for the next song, and this time Tom was up and running around.

Tom using emotions in front of K.K.After that, Alexis had to go, so Tom ended the party.

My turnips were getting ready to expire, and everyone I asked had turnip prices between 40 and 68 (including me). But Skye saved the day (and my turnips) with her 211-bell prices. So I headed over to her town Charvale.

Visiting Skye in Charvale. Her town is looking really nice.

Paths leading up to the fountain.I made my way down to Re-Tail and Reese paid me 253,200 bells for my turnips.

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 253,200 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?Skye has Bob as a villager, so I went in to say hello to him.

Bob: Awesome! I made friends with someone from another town! But then things started to get a little weird.

Bob: Sometimes I like to flush the toilet and just stare into the bowl. It's kind of relaxing.Soon after that, I returned home and ended my game for the afternoon. But when night came around, I picked it back up to watch a performance at Club LOL. K.K. performed K.K. Fusion for me.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called K.K. Fusion.
