Rolf’s Royal Gift

Tonight, Rolf asked me for a pear to eat. I gave him a perfect pear (thanks, Tiffiny!) and he gave me the best gift I’ve ever received: A throne! These normally sell for around a million bells! Wow!

Rolf: A throne is my way of showing appreciation! There! Consider yourself thanked! And by a different bridge, Big Top was telling me that Aurora has ticklish feet. But Aurora was just across the river, and I’m pretty sure she heard him say it.

Big Top: Not to be a big old gossip, but I heard that Aurora has really ticklish feet! The shops were already closed by the time I started playing tonight (except for Re-Tail). But I opened my gate at 10:00 for Friday Night Forest and Rae came over to visit. We went in my house and I showed her my new throne.

Sitting on my throne. She tried stealing my throne, but it was bolted to the floor, so she didn’t get far. I saw that she was wearing a blue cap, so I got my own blue cap out of storage. It’s Rae and Jae!

Me and Rae both wearing blue caps.T. Zelda also came over to visit, and we did the tree stump glitch.

Doing the tree stump glitch. After that, we went to my crib house.

Hanging out in my house.I was playing around with a bunch of hats and accessories I had in storage. I used my “demon cow” mask to scare TZ. 😀

Demon cow gonna get you!We also hung out in my frigid upstairs room, where Rae was listening to (and singing) songs from Frozen.

My skiing themed room. And I continued to get different hats out of my storage to try on.

Putting on my Samus mask.I even did my impression of Fi.

Jeff: With 99.6% probability...Jeff: ...I'm annoying. After a while, we headed out to the island. We started out with a butterfly-catching tour, and Rae and I tied for the win. Go blue team!

Tortimer: Jeff gets 2 medals, Rae gets 2 medals, and T Zelda gets 1 medal! We also went on a balloon-popping tour, an item-matching tour, and a fishing tour. I did pretty well tonight, but T. Zelda won the last fishing tour.

Tortimer: T Zelda gets 3 medals, Jeff gets 2 medals, and Rae gets 1 medal! The fishing tournament is tomorrow, so I thought we could try to get a head start by catching some fish on the island. I caught several sea bass and a hammerhead shark, so hopefully I’ll be able to use them in the competition tomorrow.

Shortly before midnight, we returned to the mainland and I ended the party for the night. Thanks for coming, Rae and T. Zelda! And thanks to everyone who’s reading this blog entry!

Just a reminder that this is the last weekend to play Wii and DS games online, so if you want to play them one last time, don’t forget to do it soon! Have a great weekend, everyone! 🙂

Turnip Spike

This morning, my Re-Tail was buying turnips for 347 bells apiece! It seems like the spikes usually come on Thursdays (when they come at all). I sold everything I had and scored myself 416,400 bells.

Reese: Well then...I could probably part with 416,400 bells for all of it, if that sounds OK with you?

That put my bank account balance over 13 million bells. Later on, when I checked my mail, I had a letter from Gulliver with a moai statue attached.

I saw Gala the pig, and she said she was looking to replace her piggy bank. She asked me for some furniture, and I tried to give her the moai statue. Unfortunately, she wouldn’t accept it.

Gala: Sorry, I want something to replace my piggy bank... Unfortunately, this won't work.

It needed to be something that could be placed on something else, so I caught her a carp. She thanked me for it and gave me a corinthian post.

Saharah was in town, and she installed a groovy wall and a concrete floor in my house. I didn’t think it was so groovy.

A groovy wall and concrete floor.

I had another camper at the campsite today: It was my old friend Puck the penguin!

Puck: I'm gonna take a big bite out of an apple or peach without letting you see.

I later ran into Rolf, who asked me if I preferred spaghetti or macaroni and cheese.

Rolf: Hey, bucko, which do you like better--spaghetti or good ol'-fashioned mac 'n' cheese?

I like them both, so I said I wasn’t sure. He was angered by my non-choice.

Rolf: You gotta be kidding me! You can't be "not sure" about this stuff! This is serious business! Use your noodle!

And I StreetPassed Ian from Xereo again, and he gave me another ice cream cone. This time, it was a matcha soft-serve. Uh what?

Ian and my ice cream cone.

Skye had one thing to say about that flavor:

Skye: EW!

Fixing Rolf

As I was busy in my house, Rolf barged in. I’m not a fan of these unplanned visits, so I just spoke to him once and then sat down until he left.

Rolf: Well, I guess it's about time I was getting home... Sorry for barging in on you like this all of a sudden!I got my wild painting in the mail from Crazy Redd, but as I feared, it turned out to be a fake.

Reese: Oh no! If you look very closely at it, you can see it's a fake!Over by my stump, Aurora asked me for some perfect fruit.

Aurora: It's supposed to be so sweet and juicy that your tongue does little flips of joy!I gave her a perfect peach, and she enjoyed it. To thank me, she gave me a massage…wait for it…chair.

Aurora: Here. What do you think about my massage chair? I hope you like it!Rolf asked me to return something he borrowed from Tia, so I agreed to help him out. When I gave the item to Tia, she rewarded me with her picture. The interesting part? She said it was a good find!

Tia: It's Tia's pic! This is a good find, so take good care of it!Up at the Dream Suite, Luna told me Charles from MtSilver was my most recent dream visitor. And when I met up with Rolf again, he asked me if he should change his catchphrase. I told him to keep saying “tiger” and that cheered him up (or “fixed him”).

Rolf: But I think you just fixed me! Sorry you had to see that wimpy side of me, tiger! After a quick (but unfruitful) trip to the island, I spotted Gulliver on my beach. I woke him up, and I figured out that he’s headed to Easter Island once again. He’ll be sending me a moai statue tomorrow.

Gulliver: This place is an island! Yup, an island in the middle of the ocean, which is where I'd put an island! That wrapped up my night in Forest. But here is a slideshow of some of my best pictures taken in the month of April:
