Lost Mitten, Lost Kitten

Today, Rooney the kangaroo had a tent set up at the campsite. Of course my town is still full with ten villagers, but I wouldn’t have asked him to move in anyway.

Rooney: Hey, how ya doin'? I thought I'd set up camp herBut that wasn’t the only tent in town, because Crazy Redd had one of his own at the event plaza. He had a real scary painting for sale, but I already had that in my museum. So I took a chance on this wild painting, even though it’s likely fake.

Redd: Oh ho! Am I mistaken? Because I see ya lookin' pretty close at that wild painting right there! Not far from the tents, I spotted a lost mitten on the ground.

A lost item on the ground.Could this be the naughty kitten that has lost her mitten?

Katie: Oh, it's you again! The mayor guy!But this lost little mitten
did not belong to the kitten
who is always in my town
and brings my mood down.

I had better luck
when I spoke to the duck.
Her wing wasn’t fittin’,
but she said it’s her mitten.

I had to take her word;
she’s been an honest bird.
To me, she did thank
as she gave me a tank.

Molly: In terms of a reward, this is all I have on me right now. I hope you like my sunset tank! When I went up to the Dream Suite, Luna told me Larka from Rainfell was my most recent dream visitor. I returned to town, and Aurora asked me for some furniture. I had just the thing for her! A steamroller!

Aurora: Oh, a steamroller! Nice!I’m sure Aurora won’t put this back up for sale at the flea market like Kidd did! Aurora wouldn’t do that to me. She rewarded me by giving me a kitchen tile.

I met up with Molly again, and she asked me for some ocean fish. She must be hungry. So I went out and caught her a squid.

Molly: Oh! Thanks so much for this squid!I thought she liked it, until she rewarded me with a moldy shirt. That’s not nice, Molly.

Molly: It's a moldy shirt. My day was about done, but later on, I made one last stop. I had some wallpaper to deliver to Panda from the town of Summers.

Panda: Thanks a lot btw.See you all next time!

Kidd & Katie

Remember the steamroller I gave Kidd last week? He commented on how stylish it was, and he seemed to like it. Well guess what I found for sale in Re-Tail today!

Reese: Oh, the steamroller? This item belongs to Kidd from here in Forest. That little weasel!

But when I caught up with him outside, he admitted being a horrible monster not the friendliest neighbor. He told me he was going to move out on May 17th.

Kidd: Well, I guess I haven't been the friendliest neighbor. Anyway, I'm going on the 17th of this month. But I decided to keep him around for a while longer. I’m not going to keep him forever (especially if he keeps selling my stylish gifts), but I’m not quite ready to let the kid go just yet.

I ran into Big Top, and he told me that the fishing tournament is coming up on Saturday.

Big Top: Saturday is the Fishing Tourney! And this time, I'm in it to win it!After walking around town, I went up to Main Street. At the Dream Suite, I updated my dream town and asked Luna about my most recent dream visitor: It was Parker from Sunnytop.

Luna: According to the latest feedback, a client named Parker from Sunnytop enjoyed your dream. And at the Emporium, I bought some medicine for Rolf, who was sick again today. I delivered it to him, and I’m hoping he’ll start feeling better soon.

Rolf takes his medicine.I also ran into Katie. Again. I swear, I am so sick of seeing this cat.

Katie: Oh, it's you again! The mayor guy! Remember me? It's Katie!Of course I remember you, you’re always here! Go away and leave me alone!

Elephant Hide and Seek

Today is Mother’s Day, and I got a letter from Mom with a pink carnation attached. Thanks, Mom! And Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers out there! 🙂

This morning, Tia invited me to play a game of hide and seek. She gave me 15 minutes to find her, Big Top, and Aurora. It’s hard to imagine a penguin hanging out with two elephants. What could they possibly have in common?

Tia: Ready... AND GO!After a few minutes, I found Tia hiding behind Rolf’s house. I was going to put my shovel away before I spoke to her, but my pockets were full. Our heads merged as I accidentally took this picture.

Giving Tia a headbutt?About two minutes later, I found my other elephant, Big Top. He was trying to hide behind my lighthouse, but he wasn’t doing a very good job of it.

Big Top hiding behind the lighthouse.A bit later, I found Aurora and won the game. I don’t remember what my prize was, but it wasn’t anything special. Before long, I spotted Joan the sow. She was selling turnips for 93 bells apiece, and I bought 1,200 of them.

Joan: So 1,200 turnips comes out to be... 111,600 bells altogether. Do you wanna buy them? And then later tonight, I checked out a new StreetPass house in the Happy Homes Showcase. The main room was a hospital or doctor’s office. It was pretty cool, but the other rooms weren’t anything particularly interesting or unique.

A doctor's office. And back in Forest, Skye asked me for some fruit. I gave her a perfect pear I got from Tiffiny and Skye gave me her pic.

Skye: Take my Skye's pic as a token of my appreciation!
