Boots’ Birthday 2019

On Wednesday, Lolly asked me to play a game of hide-and-seek with her. I agreed, and she gave me 15 minutes to find her, Rolf, and Agent S. Within a couple of minutes, I found Agent S behind a tree near Re-Tail, and Rolf was…well, I think he was pooping behind a tree near my house!

Rolf makes a strained face as he hides behind a tree during a game of hide and seek.

And with a whopping 11 minutes remaining in the game, I found Lolly hiding behind her own house!

She gave me an exercise bike as my prize for winning. I guess I need it for exercise, since I didn’t get much exercise finding them so quickly! 😛

Lolly: to thank you for playing with us, we're giving you an exercise bike!

I later spotted Rolf fishing off the edge of the cliff! That’s not something you see every day.

Rolf fishes from the cliff.

Lolly asked me for some new furniture, so I gave her a record player. In return, she gave me a chocolate fountain. Mmm, delicious!

Lolly: Here's my chocolate fountain! Thank you so much for helping me!

Today was Boots’ birthday, and I made sure to attend his party. I gave him the chocolate fountain as his birthday present. Don’t worry, it still had some chocolate left in it. I didn’t eat all of it. 😛

Boots: Oh, nice! I've always wanted a chocolate fountain!

Rolf was also in attendance, to help Boots celebrate…and to eat cake, of course.

Rolf: Times like this help deepen the bonds between friends. Plus, you get to mooch some cake! GAHAHA!

Back outside, I was surprised to see a silver slingshot floating by!

A silver slingshot flies over Jeff's head.

After shooting it down, I checked to see if I already had one in storage. I thought I had one somewhere, but apparently not. At least, I couldn’t find it. So I put it into storage for now.

Big Top asked me to give him a gold nugget in exchange for a frilly apron, which is one of the worst trades I’ve ever been offered. But since I’m so desperate to shake the “bell pincher” label, I made the exchange. It may not actually make a difference, since bells weren’t involved, but I didn’t want to take a chance.

How to Replace a Toilet

I was visiting Boots on Thursday, and he informed me that his stool is really comfortable. Uh, I guess that’s good? Why is he telling me this? At least he won’t need any stool softener.

Boots: Heh heh! I gotta say, my stool is really comfortable.

Tonight, Big Top was looking for some new furniture. He was looking for something to replace his portable toilet.

Big Top: It's redecorating time at Casa Big Top. Right now, I've got a portable toilet.
Big Top: But I'm looking for something to replace it that's around the same size.

Re-Tail didn’t have anything good, and the Emporium was already closed for the night. But when I went to the campground, I found the perfect thing for Big Top to use as a toilet: a stack of tires!

Harvey: Ah! So you're interested in my tire stack...

I took it back to Big Top, and he loved it! He then gave me a harp, no strings attached.

Big Top: Oh! A tire stack! This is perfect!

When I walked into Boots’ house, I was surprised to find Lolly there too. They had that deer-in-headlights look. Did I interrupt something?

Lolly and Boots look at Jeff awkwardly as he enters the room.

Lolly told me she was making a painting of an microwave, but she didn’t know what one looked like. Yeah, that sounds really believable…

Lolly: I'm not really sure what a microwave looks like. I'm painting without a reference.

She offered me a four-ball tee for my microwave, and I agreed to the trade.

Claudia asked me to catch an eel for her, so I did. Eels are common enough, and easy to spot in the river, after all. When I took it over to her, she rewarded me with a pastel-dot rug.

Before wrapping up my game for the night, I did a little dance by the campfire.

Sponge Cake

Earlier this week, Rolf got a little over excited about my vacuum cleaner.

Rolf: When I saw your vacuum cleaner, my heart skipped a beat!

He said he would give his whole life savings for it…but that turned out to be only 150 bells. However, I still sold it to him, even if the price sucks. 😛

Tonight, Boots and Aurora were discussing ideas for a protein cookie. Aurora said she tried making some, but they weren’t edible. So instead, Boots suggested some protein-infused sponge cake.

Boots: Well...how about protein-infused, muscle-buffing sponge cake?

Aurora loved the idea, and she couldn’t wait to start making them.

Aurora: It's been a while since I've been this excited to get into the kitchen!

When I went to visit Lolly, I saw an unusual sight: She was sitting in her chair! I wish this sort of thing happened more often.

Lolly, sitting in a chair: I hope you had a chance to check out my bookshelf. It's full of books, of course!

At Club LOL, K.K. Slider performed the song “Only Me” for me, Dizzy, and Peck.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called Only Me.

My recent dream visitors have been Villager from Forest, ….. from Moss Vil, Jaime from Waldron, and this Korean player.

Luna tells me of a Korean player that visited my dream town.
