Step Aerobics Girl

Hornsby recently asked me to bury a time capsule for him. So I put it in the usual spot in the northwest corner of town.

Hornsby: I put together a time capsule with my most prized possession inside. Now I just have to bury it!

November is here now, and that means it’s mushroom season. Various mushrooms can be found around town, and one of them each day will actually be a piece from the mush furniture set.

I thought it was a mushroom, but it's a mush wall lamp!

On Thursday, Rolf also asked me to bury a time capsule for him. This task is starting to get annoying with how often it’s been happening lately. It’s like fishing for a villager’s house key in City Folk. I’m really get tired of these. I guess I should just keep all of my letter spots full.

Rolf: Hey, do you have a minute to talk? OK, so the other day I went ahead and made a time capsule!

Lolly asked to come visit my house, and I agreed to let her. She was actually following me home in the above picture. I showed her every room of my house.

I'll bet your gorgeous seat is perfect for reading and relaxing!
Did you just call my butt gorgeous?

Today, Aurora told me she was planning on moving out of town soon. But of course, I made her change her mind.

Aurora: I think it'd be good for me to make my own way in a foreign land, in a river.

I found a lost item (a mitten) in town, and I tracked down its owner. It belonged to Vivian, but she said she doesn’t actually wear it. She just keeps a porcelain figure inside of it. The weirdest part is that she calls it “Step Aerobics Girl.”

Vivian: I keep a porcelain figure in there. I'm glad you found Step Aerobics Girl before she broke!

She rewarded me with a red corner.

Day 2000

Today (October 23rd) is the 2,000th day of Forest’s existence. Hard to believe it’s been that long already! The game doesn’t celebrate it or anything, but still, I thought it was an interesting milestone. If you’d like to revisit my entry from Day 1, here’s the link: Moving In.

Hornsby asked to visit my house today, and I agreed to let him come…but only because he wanted to come right then, as opposed to scheduling a time. I took him on a tour of my house, where I was surprised to see I’ve already decorated for Halloween! 😉

Hornsby, in a room of monster masks: Oh, wait! I get it! This must be your man cave, huh, skippy? Like where you do your hobbies?

I’m joking, of course. I haven’t redecorated that room in years. 😛 Upstairs in my frog room, Hornsby didn’t seem to like the fact that I have plants indoors? What an odd thing to complain about.

Hornsby: But there are already so many plants outside. Why would you bring one inside? You're a weird one.
Why did I bring *you* inside?

After taking him to every room, he finally decided to go home.

Next, I visited Bones, and he said he just cleaned his house.

Bones: I actually just did a big clean, updog.

But that’s kinda funny, because he has a lot of furniture in his house. You don’t normally see animals’ houses this packed.

Bones' crowded house.

I found a lost item outside (a mitten), and Molly said it was hers. But since I was standing on a bridge when I gave it back to her, she was holding it at the height of my feet. It looked kinda funny, I thought.

Molly: Oh! This IS mine!
It’s a mitten, not a boot!

She gave me a cycling tee for my trouble. Shirts aren’t ideal rewards of course, but it’s fine because I didn’t do much work. She was literally the first person animal I asked about the lost mitten. 😛

And over at Re-Tail, Big Top’s eyes nearly popped out of his helmet when he saw a portable toilet. He couldn’t wait to buy it…and break it in. That poor toilet won’t know what hit it.

Big Top: The second I laid eyes on the portable toilet, I was sold!

My recent dream visitors have been Preston from China and Haku from TranTown. Lolly also mentioned dreaming of Jannie from Nintendo. Thanks for visiting, and have a good day and week! 🙂

Return Flea

Just like last week, Lolly asked me for a butterfly tonight. And just like last week, I went down to the dock box to get an emperor butterfly for her. In return, she gave me a stripe wall.

I spoke with her again, and she offered to sell me her pickle jar for 800 bells. Sounds like a good dill!

Lolly: So I'm selling stuff to make up the difference. Would you like to buy my pickle jar?

I visited Bones, he was already looking to replace the flea I gave him two weeks ago.

Bones: I'm thinking I should replace my flea with something else.
A tick, perhaps?

I just happened to have a piece of furniture that can be placed on a table like fish and bugs can…the pickle jar from Lolly, of course! I handed it over, and he said it was perfect. To thank me, he rewarded me with the flea.

Bones: Well, I don't need my flea anymore, so take it as my way of saying thanks!
This reward sucks.

Up at Club LOL, Cally and Kabuki were enjoying some music from K.K. Slider. I asked K.K. for a random song, sat next to Kabuki, and listened to a performance of Mountain Song.

K.K. Slider performs for Cally, Jeff, and Kabuki at Club LOL.
