Hornsby’s Birthday

Over the weekend, I saw that Hornsby has put up the customized matryoshka dolls in his house. So if you want to see all three little men, here’s a pic.

Saturday was Shamrock Day (St. Patrick’s Day), and it was also the day of the fishing tournament. I spotted the Shamrock Day face-cutout standee at the event plaza, near Chip and his tent. I played too late to participate in the tourney, though.

Today, I bought this sink that Hornsby was selling at Re-Tail.

Reese: Oh, the sink? This item belongs to Hornsby from here in Forest.

Interestingly enough, today was Hornsby’s birthday! So I decided to give him the sink he was trying to get rid of…as his birthday present! Surprisingly, he loved it! πŸ˜€

Hornsby: A sink! I'm so impressed that you picked out the perfect present, hun!

Agent S was also at the party, having a good time.

Agent S: Birthday bashes are the best! Seriously, I'm always looking for an excuse to par-TAY!

Outside, I spoke with Rolf as Bob was standing right behind him. Rolf asked me how well I get along with Bob. Hmm, did Bob put you up to asking me this? Just a hunch.

Rolf: How well do you and Bob get along?

I visited Molly in her house, and I was a bit surprised by some of her dialogue. She asked if I’ve received a badge from Phineas. That’s not something villagers normally say…but then it hit me. Wait, is she saying this because Phineas was in town? I ran to the police station and asked Copper what was new. He confirmed that Phineas was in town! Wow!

I searched town, and eventually found him near the event plaza. He gave me the Weed Menace badge, which is the gold weed-pulling badge! I didn’t think I’d be getting this anytime soon, so I was quite happy about it!

I got the Weed Menace badge! This is the result of my ceaseless weed-pulling addiction!

So I now have all gold badges except for the StreetPass one. I will probably never get that one, so tonight may be the last time I ever see Phineas in New Leaf.

Manly Matryoshka

Lately I’ve been trying to help out my two newest villagers, Hornsby and Bones. I want to get their villager pictures, after all. Well, it’s probably too soon for Bones’ pic, but Hornsby has been in town for nearly six months. So maybe I’ll get lucky one of these days.

Bones: Will you please take this package away from me and deliver it to Hornsby?

Hornsby: Nice! This sea bass is for me, right?
Note: These pics are from separate favors. The sea bass wasn’t from Bones.

Since St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, I made another dream visit to the town of Shamrock. It’s one of my favorite dream towns to visit. If you haven’t seen it before, or just want to see it again, head on over to dream address 6E00-0026-F069.

Gulliver was in Forest one day recently, and he sent me a matryoshka from Russia. I’ve been checking to see if any of Gulliver’s items could be customized at Re-Tail, because I wanted to add that information to my Gulliver Guide. I’ve now tried them all, and the matryoshka is the only one that can be altered! It can be changed from ladies (the default) to gentlemen. This is what it looks like:

Take home the matryoshka?

It didn’t take long for one of my villagers to ask me for it. πŸ˜› Hornsby wanted it tonight, offering to give me a soccer tee for it. I agreed to the trade, just to be nice.

Hornsby: So how about trading your matryoshka for my soccer tee?

Joey the duck was at the campsite tonight. My town is full, but I probably wouldn’t have invited him to move in anyway. He’s okay, but not one of my favorites.

Joey: The air in this town smells delicious!

Bob again told me he was planning on moving away (on March 25th this time). But I denied his request, as usual. πŸ˜›

Molly’s Birthday 2018

Last night, Boots asked me for some new furniture. So I gave him a flea. It’s hard to imagine anyone being happy with a flea when they requested furniture, but he seemed to enjoy it. He said he’s going to train it to be the world’s most athletic bug. Well, they are strong jumpers.

Boots: Is this... Are you really giving me a flea?Boots: This is so cool! I'm totally going to train it. It'll be the world's most athletic bug!

He rewarded me with a plaster wall.

Today, I saw some butterflies flying around. I always enjoy the first butterflies of the season, because they are a welcome sign that spring has arrived.

I caught a tiger butterfly! Looks like I pounced first! 110.5mm

It’s Molly’s birthday, and she was celebrating in her house with Vivian.

Vivian helps Molly celebrate her birthday in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

This is the 5th year that Molly has celebrated a birthday in Forest. And she’s celebrated with someone different each time. In case you’re curious, here’s the list:

Should I feel bad for letting her best friend move out every year? Oops. πŸ˜› Also, I noticed she hasn’t changed her wallpaper or carpeting in all that time.

Anyway, I gave Molly a chocolate heart for her birthday. She seemed to enjoy it.

Molly: Oh, this looks delicious! I was just thinking about having another snack.

Vivian was also having a good time at the party.

Vivian: Nothing beats a birthday party. The gifts, the games, the cake...and the frosting. Mmmm!

I got a peeing statue (Manneken Pis) in the mail today, after helping Gulliver yesterday. Hornsby noticed I had it (maybe it was leaking out of my pockets), and he asked to trade a black-denim jacket for it. I agreed to the trade.

Hornsby: So how about trading your Manneken Pis for my black-denim jacket?

Bob told me he was planning on moving out of town on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th. But I’m not letting him leave yet, so I played the role of shamrock blocker.

Bob: Wow, I didn't think you'd care that much. Well, if you really want me to stay in Forest, then I will!

I then went up to Shampoodle, and used a certain hair guide to make my annual transformation into Mohawk McClover.
