Time Share

Last night, Hornsby told me he prepared a time capsule. He asked me to bury it for him, and I agreed. I put it in the northwest corner of town, in the same exact spot where I buried Boots’ time capsule recently. I don’t know how exactly that works, since you can’t normally bury two things in the same spot, but time capsules seem to be an exception to that rule. They can share the same spot.

Hornsby: I just put together a time capsule with my most prized possession inside. Now I just have to bury it!

Later, Hornsby asked me to make a delivery to Bob…who was standing just a few feet behind him.

Hornsby: Well... Bob wouldn't get mad at you, so do you think you could return this thing for me?

I made the delivery, and Bob never revealed what was inside the package. But he did give me a deep-blue tank for my trouble. It was an easy delivery…quite different from the wild goose chase I just went on in the GameCube game the other day. πŸ˜‰

Not much was going on in town tonight, so I did something I haven’t done lately: I went dancing at Club LOL! Kabuki and Harry were also there.

On the edge of the cliff back in town, I saw a balloon present headed my way. Because I keep my slingshot attached to a letter (where it’s not easily accessible–especially when I’m feeling lazy), I just got my net out instead. Since it was still pretty low, I was able to smack it down with my JVGS net. πŸ˜‰

It contained a balloon hat, so I put it on.

I used my net for a different purpose a few moments later. I saw Big Top resting on the town’s metal bench, and I used my net to catch his attention. πŸ˜›

Big Top is surprised to be hit with a net from behind.
At least he was wearing a helmet.

I felt bad for hitting Big Top in his big head, so I made up with him. I also joined him for a sit on the bench. We’re still friends.

Dreaming of Agima

My Dream Visit to Agima

Tonight, I made a dream visit to Eos’ town of Agima. Eos told me it’s a “dawn spring town” centered around the concepts of sea and cosmos. It’s certainly a beautiful town!

There was a meteor shower underway, so I stopped to wish on a shooting star.

The mayor’s house has some gorgeous space/cosmos themed rooms. I love it!

Gab’s house has water and plant-themed rooms, and they’re amazing as well.

But the basement is kind of creepy, in a way. Whose glowing egg is here on the seabed? I don’t want to be around when it hatches!

There are clothing items scattered around, so I put on this diving mask. I then sat a moment to enjoy this starlight garden.

Back in Forest…

The other day, Molly asked me for something to replace her black bass. After I saw that the stores didn’t have any small furniture items that could be placed on a table, I just went fishing.

I had forgotten which fish she was getting rid of, and the first thing I caught was a black bass. I tried to take it to Molly, but she reminded me that a black bass is what she was replacing. Oops, my bad. πŸ˜›

Molly: I need something different to replace my black bass, not the exact same thing.

I then caught a freshwater goby for her, and she enjoyed it. She thanked me by giving me a deluxe range. Now we’re cooking!

I listened in on a conversation between Big Top and Aurora, and I’ve come to the conclusion that Big Top is really the Cookie Monster in disguise.

Big Top: I know exactly what you mean! Sometimes I shovel so many cookies into my mouth, I can hardly breathe!

Then today, Molly asked me for some furniture. I gave her a sloppy clock I found at Re-Tail. She thanked me and gave me her picture again.

Molly: Oh, a sloppy clock! Nice!

Five Years a Mayor

On Monday, Boots told me he prepared a time capsule. He said it was like a love letter to himself in the future. Um, okay…

Boots: It's like a love letter to the me of the distant future!
That’s a weird way to put it…

So I buried it for him, in the same spot I always use for time capsules: The very northwest corner of town. As I buried it and packed it down, the puffs of dirt and dust blowing up almost looked like flowers!

When I visited Bones, he advised me not to look in his dresser. But when I did, I found a deluxe range and Bones told me I could have it!

I got a deluxe range!

Today, Isabelle greeted me outside my house as I started up the game. It’s the 5th anniversary of me becoming mayor! It’s actually the 5th anniversary of the town too, but I didn’t want to break Isabelle’s heart by telling her she didn’t exist before I arrived. πŸ˜›

Isabelle: I almost can't believe it, but it's been 5 years to the day since you became our mayor!

I was dragged over to the event plaza, and Isabelle told me all of the villagers would be there. But actually, only Big Top, Boots, and Tom Nook showed up! Why Tom Nook?

Jeff stands at the event plaza with Isabelle, Big Top, Boots, and Tom Nook.

Isabelle gave me a gift, and we all fired off party poppers.

Isabelle: I still can't believe it--5 years since your inauguration... What a ride it's been!

The gift was another sapling clock. I had been wondering if it was a one-time gift, but apparently she gives you one every year. I wasn’t sure what to do with my second one, so I just put it in my house for now.

Maybe I’ll have to make a Forest sapling clock forest.

If you’d like to read (or re-read) my very first blog entry from when I moved in five years ago, here it is: Moving In.

Molly told me she was planning on moving away on May 11th, but I quackly quickly changed her mind for her.

Molly: I was about to make a big decision based on a whim! Thanks so much for making me reconsider!
