Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog
Hello, and welcome to my Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer Blog! I'm Jeff and here you can follow along with my adventures in the game. Unlike other Animal Crossing games, Happy Home Designer does not run in real-time. So each blog entry will usually cover several "game days." If you'd like, you can start from the beginning or just jump right in! At the bottom of the page, you'll be able to find links to all of the entries.

Day 4

No clients had appointments for today, so Lottie told me I had to find my own customers! I went out onto Main Street, where I found Muffy and Tangy. I decided to fix up Tangy's room. Naturally, she wanted a sweet room with lots of fruit. The citrus wall was a no-brainer, and I also put in some yellow flooring. I then added a citrus rug on top. Rugs are different from carpeting in Happy Home Designer; you can use both, and you can even choose the size of the rug.

Besides the fruit-shaped furniture, I also found tons of fruit on the "food" page. That must be over 9,000% of your daily recommended dosage of Vitamin C!

I gave Tangy a mixer so that she could make her own juices and smoothies...and maybe even some Tang! I also put a cherry shirt on display in her room, and a pear dresser in the corner for storage. Her house is only six spaces by six spaces, so it's hard to fit a lot of furniture in here. She doesn't even have a bed, but she's a cat. She shouldn't mind sleeping on the floor.

Tangy loved the house, and she taught me the aggravation emotion. Wait, why aggravation? Does that look like the face of aggravation to you?

She was clearly happy with the results. I would have given her a hug, but she might not be the best person to squeeze. Besides, I wanted to concentrate on being professional. Back at the office, Lottie told me that Tom Nook will be here tomorrow to greet clients. I haven't seen him since the first day...what could he want?

Day 5

I walked into Nook's Homes to start my fifth day, and Tom Nook was there...speaking with Isabelle! Town hall has come up with enough funds for a new facility!

But we won't start that project until tomorrow, so I still had to find my own work for today. Pekoe and Muffy were outside, and I decided to help Muffy since she's been there for days. She wanted to turn her home into a gothic hangout. I went with a rococo wall and floor. And in fact, most of what I used was rococo furniture. I also put several black lillies on the furniture.

Ewe shouldn't rush me.

Muffy loved the room, and I learned the bashfulness emotion. Baa baa bashfulness.

Day 6

Today is the big day! Isabelle told me we'll be putting in a school! We headed out to the site...

I got to choose the roof color (the choices were red, green, and blue); I thought the red looked best as a schoolhouse. So we then went inside.

Isabelle gave me a clipboard that has a list of necessities: A teacher's desk, four chairs, and four tables. She also told me that I can now hold down L or R while I touch an item to duplicate the item. That's very helpful when you need multiple chairs, desks, flowers, or anything else. The classroom was very large...12 by 8 spaces! It wasn't easy choosing a wallpaper and flooring. But I ended up going with a neutral wall and birch flooring.

I experimented with the classroom quite a bit. It takes much more time and effort than the villagers' houses, but it's more enjoyable too. I put in the desks and tables, and even gave Isabelle an apple.

The science area is on the side of the room. The skeleton can double as a Halloween decoration too.

The back of the room has the students' lockers, as well as two class pets--a goldfish and a hamster.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

When we got back to the office, Isabelle told me there will be an unveiling ceremony tomorrow to celebrate the opening of the school. That should be cool! I'll see you all next time!
