Giving Out New Catchphrases

I made it into Nook ‘n’ Go just before it closed for the night, and Tom Nook thanked me for paying off my loan. He told me my house would be expanded by tomorrow.

Tom Nook: No problem! No problem at all! I had an inkling you might say that, yes?
You had an inkling? Congratulations, it’s a squid!

While was I was there, I bought some medicine just in case Static still needed it. But when I visited him, I saw that he was feeling better now. He was talking about Kiki and Chevre’s relationship, wondering if they were self-absorbed.

Static: I heard that kids these days are all really self-absorbed.I had a chat with Yuka outside, and she had a flea on her again! She was talking about pretty bugs for some reason, saying that their beauty keeps predators from attacking them. She then said that she always knew being pretty was the best weapon. As if she could know that.

Yuka: Hee hee! I always knew that being pretty was the best weapon, eeyack!Since I was close to the gate, I stopped in to check the lost-and-found. Booker had a pitfall seed, so I took it…for a good cause. 😉

Yuka: Go away, you rubbernecking jerk! This isn't a show, tsk tsk! When I ran into Bill, he asked me for a new catchphrase. I told him to say “hunt me.” Anyone up for some Duck Hunt? 😉

Bill: ...Hunt me!I did some fishing, and two of my catches were fish that I still needed for the museum: a dace and this football fish.

I caught a football fish! When I went to the museum to donate them, Blathers had an interesting (if not disturbing) story about the football fish. He said that males of the species can get attached to females, and then absorbed into them.

Blathers: This is rather graphic, but football fish males can get attached to females...Blathers: Literally attached! And then the males often get absorbed into the females!Yikes. He then said he was glad he was born an owl. Wait, weren’t you hatched, not born?

Blathers: I heard this, and I thought how lucky I was to have been born an owl, eh wot?

Bill wasn’t the only animal asking for a new catchphrase tonight; Yuka asked for one too! I told her to say “I’m evil.”

Yuka: ...I'm evil? You're totally sure about this, right?
Oh, I’m very sure.

I then returned home, put K.K. Ballad (from last Saturday) into my music player, and headed for bed. See you all next time!
