Dango (Nintendo Zone DLC)

Pete met me outside my house today, with a letter from Nintendo. Now through September 12th, a dango is available at Nintendo Zone locations.

From 8/30 to 9/12, the dango is available via Nintendo Zone!In my mailbox, I also had a letter from Gulliver. He sent me a tapestry from Peru.

While making my rounds, I spotted a very large dragonfly: It was a petaltail. I got my net out and caught it. These are so much easier to catch in New Leaf than they were in City Folk.

I caught a petaltail dragonfly! It may be big, but I'm bigger! After connecting to a “Nintendo Zone location,” I asked Pelly about the new download. She handed me a dango.

Pelly: Sorry to keep you waiting! I hope you enjoy your new dango!Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Was it a cross between a durian and a mango? Nope. Apparently, it’s a sweet Japanese dumpling. Good thing I looked it up, because I would have guessed that it was an inside-out birdhouse with eggs stacked on top.

Dango - not for sale.
No, Robin, you’re doing it wrong!

The final fireworks festival of the year was held tonight, and Tom invited me over to use up some of his stockpiled fireworks. Jules was also there. We started setting each other on fire.

Tom, Jules, and I celebrating the fireworks festival.Isabelle gave me a flower bopper for the occasion.

Isabelle: When you wear that flower bopper, you'll shine just as bright as the fireworks!Tom was dropping a bunch of fountain fireworks, and it almost looked like all of Tomville was on fire! 😛

Fire, fire, heh heh...Jules and I sat down at Tom’s town tree to look at Tomville’s history. Tom was setting off some fireworks, and at one point, something he was burning seemed to set his tree on fire! It was pretty cool.

Tom setting the tree on fire?Tom ended the session after a while, and I returned to Forest. Up at my Dream Suite, Luna told me that Cynthia from Duwang was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for visiting!

I hope you all enjoy (or enjoyed) your last fireworks festival of the year. See you next time!

Pass the Medicine

Saturday night is K.K. night, so I headed up to Club LOL to catch some live music. K.K. performed K.K. Rockabilly for me.

K.K.: Enough tuning--let's groove. This next one is for you, Jeff. It's called K.K. Rockabilly.Down on the beach, I found Gulliver washed up on the shore. He was talking about alpacas, and how their fur is so soft that he wants to keep petting them and petting them. It was kind of creepy.

Gulliver: I want to snuggle up to that white, soft neck of theirs and pet and pet and pet!Anyway, he is headed to Peru to pet all the alpacas he can get his hands on. He’ll be sending me a gift from there tomorrow.

Molly was sick with a cold tonight, but the shop was already closed! So I did what any rational person would do: I purposely got stung by bees.

Ow! Ow ow ow... I got stung by bees!It didn’t take long for one of my villagers to give me some medicine. Dizzy couldn’t stand looking at my face, so he gave me some.

Dizzy: If you're not digging the insect-ravaged look, use this.I quickly went to Molly’s house to give her the medicine she needed. But to my surprise, she gave me medicine!

Molly: I happen to have some medicine on me! You can take it to reduce the swelling.Molly: I hope your face feels better soon! When I spoke to her again, she asked me for medicine. But you already had some and you gave it away!

Molly: Please, may I have some of your medicine?I gave her some medicine and she gulped it down. Get well soon, ducky.

Molly takes her medicine.Since I had an extra one, I took one for my eye too. I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow! Hope to see you then!

Dizzy’s Rich Friend

I visited Daisy, and she told me she was just about to write a poem about a roller skate! So I didn’t stick around; I didn’t want to interrupt her while she was on a roll.

Daisy: Welcome to my home! I was just sitting down to write a poem about a roller skate.Dizzy asked if he could visit my house today. Since I was right outside my house when he asked, I went ahead and reluctantly invited him in. He saw my gorgeous furniture, and now he thinks I’m rich! He said he always wanted a rich friend to buy him bavarian cream! You’ll be lucky if I buy you some peanuts, pal!

Dizzy: I've always dreamed of having a rich friend to buy me lots of bavarian ice cream!Velma asked me to return an item she borrowed from Aurora. Forest’s first penguin looked shocked when she realized she forgot about the item. And those eyes…

Aurora: What?! I forgot to take this home?!And then she told me what the item was–a watermelon chair. Who forgets about a watermelon chair? And for that matter, who borrows a watermelon chair?

Aurora: Oh, my watermelon chair! I was positive that I'd lost this!Anyway, she gave me a rose-sky tee to thank me for returning it.

When I updated my dream town, Luna told me that Chelsey from Artsia was my most recent dream visitor. Thanks for stopping by!
