Rolf’s Birthday

Gulliver sent me an Eiffel Tower in the mail from France today. And when I went to the cafe, Lolly came in for some coffee…for the first time ever.

Lolly: I'd like a cup of coffee, please. It was Rolf’s birthday, so I paid him a visit. Octavian was also there, helping him celebrate.

Rolf celebrates his birthday with me and Octavian.Rolf asked if I brought him a gift…of course I did! A brand new Eiffel Tower! He didn’t seem exactly thrilled with it, but he was trying to be polite about it.

Rolf: Oh, an Eiffel Tower? Well that's something I don't have a lot of experience with...Before I left his house, I danced the Shrunk Funk Shuffle. Happy birthday, Rolf!

Jeff dancing at Rolf's party. After making my walk around town, I went up to Main Street. In the Dream Suite, Luna told me that Sophie from Starfall was my most recent dream visitor. And in the post office, I deposited some money and my bank account balance topped 18 million bells.

Your current balance is 18,020,000 bells.Shortly after 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Madisyn came over for a visit.

Madisyn arrives in Forest.I noticed that Rolf’s party was over with…at least while the gate was open. I visited with Octavian, and he asked if I have ever been overseas. I said no, and he said he hasn’t traveled much either. And yet his house is filled with space items, including a space shuttle, UFO, and a lunar lander. You can’t fool me, alien!

Octavian: Oh? Really? Truth is, I haven't been to too many places, either...Up on Main Street, Rory immediately got defensive. He told me he’s not a criminal, but I know he’s lion.

Rory: This is not a case of the criminal returning to the scene of the crime!Madisyn and I went to the Roost to get some coffee; I got mine to go.

Jeff drinking coffee outdoors. After catching some bugs and fish, we started to do some glitching.

Standing on the flower clock.I also sat on the bench…and took up the whole thing.

Madisyn: MOVE YOUR BIG BUTT!I eventually let her sit down for a moment, but we soon resumed glitching.

Standing on the Roost. We also glitched onto the tracks, and then off the bridge.

Madisyn and Jeff standing in the ocean. But before we could get down into the void, Madisyn had to leave. So I ended the session and reopened the gate. After a little while, Jessica came over to visit. I was expecting her to bring food, but she said she already ate it. So I got my axe out.

Jessica: I ate it already.Of course, it wasn’t long before we started beating each other with our hammers.

A toy hammer fight.Jessica could only withstand so much brain damage, so she stepped off the dock. She then started to go fishing to catch a shark…a shark that I didn’t see. I thought it was just the head injury making her see things…but she actually caught a shark. Fittingly enough, it was a hammerhead! She then suggested that maybe I was the one with the brain injury, since I didn’t see the shark in the first place. So I decided maybe I should call a dock-tor.

After we were done killing each other, we went out to the island for some tours. We started off with an ancient fish encoun-tour. Jessica got off to a good start, while I was having trouble finding any good fish. She even asked if I was still alive at one point. I believe she got off to a 4-1 lead, at least.

But in the final minute or two, I was finally getting on a roll and catching some big ancient fish. Right as time expired, a caught a coelacanth. By the time the text popped up on the screen, the game had already been over for at least 5 seconds. But apparently, it still counted. We ended up tied, and I was a bit excited about catching up after that awful start.

Jeff: COMEBACK OF THE YEAR!But after that, we went on a balloon-popping tour…and she beat me. I usually do really good at the balloon tours, but the awful bridge placement ended up costing me in the end.

After that, I chose a bug-catching tour. But what I didn’t realize was it was a hidden bug-catching tour. In other words, only “hidden” bugs count. Things like the walking stick on trees, or bugs that hide under rocks. I was disappointed when I realized what I had done. I normally don’t notice the walking sticks until it’s too late, but I made sure to look out for them. And it paid off, as I narrowly beat Jessica.

Tortimer: Jeff gets 4 medals, and Jessica gets 1 medal!Jessica had to go at this point. So we ended up completely tied on the night: One win, one loss, one draw. We returned to Forest, where I gave her a goodbye hammer smack to the head.

Jessica: This is our greeting now.I then ended the session for the night. Have a good weekend, everyone! I’ll be back with another blog entry tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!
