Tonight was the night of the harvest moon, so a moon-viewing party was held at the lake. After a quick stop at Nook’s, I made my way there. I saw Sydney and Hank enjoying the view.

Velma also seemed to appreciate the heavenly body above…

…until I realized she was only talking about herself. I think she’s been eating too many Scooby snacks.

Tortimer was also there, lamenting the loss of warm, summer nights.

Emerald also came out to take a look at the moon. Naturally, she chose the spot nearest the lily pads in the lake.

After I left the festival, I ran into Candi. She informed me that I haven’t spoken to her in four months! I wonder if she’s still mad about me pushing her into the river.

I pulled a bunch of weeds, and then I spotted a blue balloon present!

I followed it, but it didn’t get caught in a tree. So I had no choice but to helplessly watch it sail over the cliff and out of my life forever.

Olivia the cat has become the latest animal to scamper out of town. I got her goodbye letter in the mail today.

It was raining as I made my way around town. When I got to Static’s house, he was being unusually rude.

So I had to put him in time-out. He wasn’t happy about that.

I soon reached a new house. Velma the snooty goat has moved into Forest. Apparently she went to the Static School of Manners.

Hmm, she looked a bit familiar… “Hey Velma, can you get me Scooby-Doo’s autograph?”

After making my rounds and stopping at the post office, I decided to do some September fishing. As you may know, there are no sea bass or jellyfish in the ocean in early September. This means the only ocean fish are red snappers (3,000 bells), barred knifejaws (5,000 bells), and if it’s raining, coelacanths (15,000 bells). So this time of year is great for making lots of money…especially if you play in the rain. I decided to fill my pockets with 15 fish. Two of my 15 catches were coelacanths.

I also caught ten red snappers and three barred knifejaws.

I sold everything to Nook and scored an easy 75,000 bells.

The sea bass will start to return in a day or two, but they won’t be back in full force until mid-month. So you still have a few good days left for some lucrative fishing. Just remember to avoid the acre with the mouth of the river and good luck catching those coelacanths! See you all next time!

Kiki has moved out of town. I got her goodbye letter in the mail today.

There was a mosquito over by Static’s house. It was following me, and Static was following the mosquito. So I danced around for a while, avoiding the mosquito and letting it chase me around a sign post. But eventually I just got my net out and caught the little bugger.

And down on the beach, I found Gulliver’s body. He wasn’t dead, just unconscious. I woke him up and he gave me a matryoshka.

The daily glowing spot was nearby, and I dug it up. Lucky me, it gave 10,000 bells today!

As I continued my walk, I fell into a pitfall! That’s actually a fairly rare occurrence in this game. Pitfalls may be common in City Folk and New Leaf, but they’re quite uncommon on GameCube.

Eventually, I made my way up to my new neighbor’s house. It’s Olivia, who has actually lived in Forest before. She’s just as pleasant as she’s always been.

After a stop at the post office, I returned home and ended my game for the night. See you all next time!
