Villagers Calling Me Fat

On Wednesday, I found a goodbye letter from Murphy in the mail. Not to sound rude, but I’m just glad it wasn’t Kiki that moved out! (Kiki is one of my favorites, of course.)

Dear Jeff, Well, my streak continues... I just can't seem to settle down in any town for long. This is kind of odd, because I've said so many goodbyes, but this one actually hurts... Goodbye... -Murphy

Puck was telling me about the ability to connect a Game Boy Advance to a GameCube, which makes a boat appear. He seemed really excited about it for some reason. 😆

Puck: ...to a Nintendo GameCube and then go to the dock, you can ride on a boat! A boat, I tell you! A boat!

He said he wants to go for a boat ride and let his fingers dangle in the water. But he doesn’t even have fingers!

Puck: I want to go for a boat ride, brrrrrrrrr! I want to lie back and let my fingers dangle in the water!

I found a new (play) house next door to Maple, and Peewee the gorilla was inside. I’m not a fan of gorillas (except for Louie, of course). But welcome to Forest anyway, Peewee. Enjoy your (hopefully) short stay.

Peewee: Hey! Who are you? I certainly don't know you!

Shortly after I caught a purple butterfly, Sydney took notice of it. And she did it in a way that made use of her catchphrase. 😛

Sydney: Wow, it's in pretty good shape, with wings! I've never seen anything like it!

She offered me 1,050 bells for the purple butterfly, but I declined. That’s only about half of what Tom Nook will pay.

I played again today, and Kiki offered to sell me a tartan rug or a stone wall for 5,000 bells. Yikes!

Kiki: Well, lucky for you, I've got a tartan rug and some stone wall with me.
Some stone wall?
Kiki: I'll let you buy either one for 5,000 bells, kittycat!

That’s a lot of money, especially when neither one of them is rare. No thanks, kitty cat.

Puck told me that he was so starving that he was going to flip his wig!

Puck: I'm starving, brrrrrrrrr! If I don't get some food in me, I'm gonna flip my wig! I'm so serious right now!

But surprisingly, he wasn’t asking me for food. That was just part of his dialogue. He continued on the topic of food though. He called me fat, and he told me to watch my snack intake. However, he said he’s able to eat whatever he likes because he hides his weight with his clothes! Ha!

Puck: Me? I hide my weight with my clothes, so I can eat whatever, whenever, brrrrrrrrr! Ka-ching!
Your clothes aren’t fooling anyone, Puck.

When I spoke with Baabara, she too called me fat. She gave me some advice as well, except hers was much more specific:

Baabara: Never ever EVER eat hash browns after 9:00 at night, unless you WANT to get fat!

No hash browns after 9 p.m.? I guess that’s when the potatoes hit the sack. 🥔

A few weeks ago, I posted my latest Animal Crossing GameCube Moments video, #30! Here it is if you haven’t seen it yet:

September is right around the corner, and that means it’s almost the best time of year for fishing! I plan on doing some ocean fishing in the first part of the month, especially if I can catch a rainy day for some coelacanths! Happy fishing if you decide to participate as well!
