I got a goodbye letter in the mail; Wolfgang has moved out of town.

I didn’t play last week, so I had a lot of weeds to pull. And of course I talked to some of my neighbors.

And I met my new neighbor, Chuck.

A tent was in the same acre as Chuck’s house. Quetzal is the camper for this weekend.

I played his games for a long time. I ended up using all the items I had left on the ground from Sue E’s tent three weeks ago. There weren’t any furniture items in the dump, so I took some items out of my house. I actually took out some other summer camper items that I didn’t need to keep any more. I then returned to Quetzal’s tent to try his games a few more times before I gave up for the night. But something unexpected happened…I actually got the item I’ve been trying for! YES!

I returned to my house to put the item in my upstairs room. That room is now complete and ready for my 2012 house tour video. But I still need to work on my main floor. The good news is that I don’t need any rare items for what I’m doing there; I just need to order a few things. So I’ll most likely start working on that next weekend. But it’s a big relief to not have to deal with the summer campers any more.

Nook’s was closed by the time I started playing tonight, but I talked to some of my animals. Genji mentioned the summer morning aerobics, which are starting up soon. I did the aerobics last year, but I have no interest in doing them again. It’s too early in the morning for me.

I found this weekend’s summer camper, Boris the pig.

I played his games for a while, but I didn’t get the item I needed. Camping season is over half over now, with only five weekends left. I’ll have to make sure I get the item I need before summer ends.

Since it’s Saturday night, I decided to stop and watch K.K. perform a song. He played Soulful K.K. for me.

This weekend’s summer camper was Sue E, a former Forest resident.

Fortunately, her games were MUCH easier to win than the other campers I’ve had this summer. One of her games has you trying to pick an ace out of four cards she holds. You get three chances, so you end up winning most of the time. Even if you lose, you buy the item with up to 3,000 bells. Unlike in some other camper games, she won’t take all of your money. Another plus is that the items she gives are all furniture. She won’t give carpet or wallpaper.

Her other game seems to have about 50/50 odds. If you win, she buys an item you have (usually for around 3,000 bells). If you lose, she gets the item for free. But the terms of these games make it so much easier to score items and/or money. I did end up playing her games for a few hours, but I ended up with a profit of around 25,000 bells plus all of these items.

I also scored one of the items I needed for my upstairs room. I just need one more. After I was done with Sue E, I returned to my house and read my mail. I had a goodbye letter from Cesar.

I like that stationery. Cesar’s exit meant there was a new daddy villager in town. It was Wolfgang. I introduced myself to him before ending my game for the night.
