I spent most of the night playing the Halloween festival in City Folk, so I didn’t have much time to play the GameCube game. But still, I wanted at least a little taste of the action.
The first thing I noticed was how vicious the animals are on GameCube. They don’t stroll around, they CHARGE at you, full speed. Or they’ll hide behind a tree and wait until you’re close and strike. They’re fierce. And it’s not like City Folk where half of the animals are indoors, no. All FIFTEEN of your villagers are outside (no sleeping tonight) and they will all ambush you. The festival is a cakewalk on City Folk, and this is a real challenge…especially if you have limited candy.
The only beings that don’t harass you are Jack…
…and Tortimer.
Somehow I managed to find Jack twice in a relatively short amount of time. I got the spooky carpet and the spooky sofa.
At one point, I saw a balloon present go by. It was a red one. For some reason, that really stood out to me. I don’t think many balloon presents are red, are they? Or maybe it just stood out because the bright red balloon landed in a bright gold tree.
At any rate, I shook the tree and opened the present. Oddly enough, it contained a bright red apple. I then headed for home. Here are a couple more pictures of my friendly animal neighbors tonight.

Anyway, I went on to Nookington’s and bought up all five pieces of candy he had for sale, just in case I play the game for Halloween tomorrow.
I went in Carmen’s house and she tried to sell me an opulent rug or shanty wall for all the money I was carrying: 18,989 bells. No way!
So I hopped on her dual pineapple beds and rolled around in them. I won’t tell you what I left in her bed, but I’ll give you a hint: It’s not pineapple juice.
I then pulled some weeds, talked to a few more of my neighbors, went to the post office to deposit all my bells in the bank, and headed for home. I changed into an “A” shirt, just so my short circuit shirt (a valuable Gracie exclusive) doesn’t get ruined at Halloween tomorrow.
That meant I had a new neighbor, so I went to go meet her. It was Carmen the mouse. I believe I had her a long time ago.
I went around talking to animals. Genji gave me a classic cabinet for free. I went in Belle’s house and she insulted my clothes and then tried to give me a green ring shirt. I declined, but she made me take it anyway. She then asked if her outfits are cool… she has a bunch of cow print shirts in her room, and I didn’t think that was very creative for a cow, so I told her “I’m sorry.” She got very mad.
I went into Tutu’s house and saw that she had one of the coolest items in the game…a retro TV. I turned off her stereo and proceeded to dance to the music played by the retro TV. 😀
I pulled some weeds, talked to Kody a few times, and headed for home.
