Pete greeted me outside my door today.
He had butter a letter from Nintendo for me.
It was the next item in the creepy set, the creepy bat stone.
I think my lab room isn’t going to be around much longer. I may start turning it into a cemetery. The next DLC item will be the creepy skeleton, which will be released on July 1st.
But for now, I went back outside; the Bug-Off competition was taking place. Since I was unable to sell all my bugs last night, I still had some rare bugs in my pockets. I gave Nat an oak silk moth.
That gave me the lead in the competition. The tournament was set to end at 6:00, which was only a few minutes away, so I just waited it out to see if I’d win. I still had a goliath beetle and a rainbow stag in my pocket in case someone else took the lead in the final minutes. But fortunately, that didn’t happen, and my oak silk moth won!
Nat said he would mail my prize to me.
I went into the Able Sisters and tried on a frog cap. It’s Jeff the Frog!
I walked around town, and Anabelle asked me to make a delivery to Del. So I took it to him, and the gift turned out to be a Persian rug.
I returned to Anabelle and she thanked me by giving me a modern tile.
After that, I was done playing…for now. But that’s not all for today. Check back tonight (late, late, late tonight) for another blog entry.
I later stumbled into Wisp, the ghost.
He told me to meet him in my attic and then rub his lamp.
I did just that and he offered a reward. I asked him for furniture.
He gave me a siphon, which was an item I needed for my catalog.
At 10:00, I opened my gate for Friday Night Forest. Yann and Megan came over to visit. I shot a party popper at Megan, and this picture captured the explosion perfectly.
It was raining, so Megan used her leaf umbrella in an attempt to blend in.
Megan soon fell into my pitfall trap again. As long as people keep falling into my pitfalls, I see no reason to move them around. They’re doing their job well.
We then saw Rowan, and his umbrella was a much better disguise than Megan’s.
Yann was away for a bit, and Megan pushed her into a pitfall. How could she do such a thing? 😉
Since it was raining, we went coelacanth hunting. Yann was the first to catch one.
Yann was having the best luck with coelacanths, Megan was finding sharks, and I was doing good with bugs.
I also noticed the snails practically go up my nose.
We somehow ended up discussing Mario Kart, and how we all play as Koopa Troopa.
We were definitely having a good time. But it was far from over.
We kept playing, and playing, and playing. I ended up closing my gate just after 4:00 a.m. Eventually, we all caught coelacanths, although I was the last one to do it. We had a great time.

I went inside, but Resetti wasn’t there. He was out somewhere, probably yelling at somebody who reset their game. But his brother Don was in there. For some reason, Don was talking about how he tried to get in the bath with his brother one time. 😮
There wasn’t really anything else to do in there, so I left and went back to Forest. Rowan was walking around, and he asked me to make a delivery for him. So I took an item to Yuka, as he requested. It was a flame shirt and Yuka didn’t like it at all.
I returned to Rowan and he thanked me for making the delivery. He gave me a kitschy tile as a reward.
My neighborhood rooster Egbert asked me for a new greeting. I chose a phrase that players of Harvest Moon 64 should remember.
And finally, I shot down a balloon present. It contained a cannon. Don’t ask me how a single balloon could carry a cannon, but that’s Animal Crossing logic for you. 😉
