I went to the Roost tonight to catch a performance from K.K. I asked him to play me a random song, and he sang K.K. Ragtime.

Further south from the museum, I saw Lily across the river and I stopped to wave at her.

A bit later on, I ran into Friga. She saw something in my pockets that she wanted: a retro fridge! I can’t say I’m surprised; she’s cool like that.

She offered to trade her bubble shirt for it, and I agreed to the trade. I didn’t need the shirt of course, but I try to be nice every once in a while.

Not much else happened on this quiet Saturday night, but the fireworks festival is tomorrow. I plan on attending the event, so I should be back with another update tomorrow. See you then!

I noticed a new house while making my rounds tonight, and I checked out the sign out front. It belongs to Carmen.

I had a Carmen in my GameCube town before, but that wasn’t the same character…that was a mouse! This Carmen is a bunny.

I guess she’s okay, but I don’t see her becoming one of my favorites.

Outside, I walked a bit too close to a scorpion, and he was on alert. I tried backing up and getting my net out, but since he was already on alert, he charged at me. I took a swing, and I missed. He got me. R.I.P. Jeff.

When I ran into Ribbot, he asked me to make a quick delivery to Angus.

Angus was in his house nearby, so it was an easy delivery. The package contained a robo-sofa. Typical gift from Ribbot. When I returned to the robotic frog, he thanked me for making the delivery and gave me a retro fridge as a reward.

When I went to visit Kiki, she was reminiscing about her time in Yann’s town Tropical. She seemed to be missing Yann’s other character, Matteo.

The Bug-Off insect-catching competition was held today, but I played much too late in the day to participate. I still talked with the judge Nat, and he told me that Friga was today’s winner with a 60-point mantis.

Then, I went to the Roost to catch K.K.’s Saturday night performance. I asked him for a sad song, and he played K.K. Ballad for me.

I don’t have many flowers that still need watering, since I have all my paths lined with gold roses. But I still make the same walk around town, talking to the animals that are out. In Melba’s case, I stopped and waved to her.

My night was pretty uneventful. But as a reminder, the fireworks festival is tomorrow night. So check that out if you’re interested. It will be the third of five shows this month.
