Fix the Bricks

When I started up the game today, I quickly noticed that the grass color has changed since the last time I played.

The current grass color. But that orange brick path was still bothering me. It was too bright for a Halloween path. I went into the Able Sisters and got my previous orange brick pattern that I’ve used in previous years. This is a bit better:

A darker orange brick path that I've used in previous years. When I went to visit Lily, she asked me for a grasshopper. She must be hungry!

Lily: Guess what, dearie! I've decided that I absolutely HAVE to have a grasshopper!I found Saharah the camel (on hump day, no less) hanging out around the museum. She asked me for some old wallpaper, and I realized it’s been a long time since I’ve gotten something new from her.

Saharah: I came from far away. I wish to trade wallpaper. It is for wallpaper that I came to your town today.Bunnie told me she didn’t any old wallpaper because she traded hers for some slippers. Let me guess…bunny slippers?

Bunnie: Oh, bummer! I totally had old wallpaper yesterday, but I traded it for a pair of slippers!I asked all of my villagers, but Lily was the only one who had some wallpaper to give me. I didn’t have any in storage, so I was unable to get any rare wallpaper this time. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time.

A Horse, Of Course

In the Wii wee hours of the morning, I started up my game to check on my town. There was a new house in the spot where Ribbot recently lived. But this house belongs to Ed.

Sign on house: Ed's HouseI’m not a big fan of Ed; he’s not my favorite horse. You may be saying a horse is a horse, of course, of course. But I disagree. I think he may even be a cyclops! Do you see another eye? I didn’t think so! If you don’t believe me, go straight to the source and ask the horse! 😛

Ed: Yo! You must live right here in Forest!Halloween may still be a ways off, but it’s never too early to start thinking about it. So I decided to change my brick path color from green to orange. I’m not sure I’m 100% satisfied with it, though. It might look better without the white reflections on it. I might make some changes to it another day, but it’s okay for now.

My orange brick paths.Being so late at night early in the morning, most of my villagers were asleep. So I couldn’t talk to Lily or Kiki. I’ll be sure to catch them next time, though. Bye for now!

Melba’s Yucky Face

It was a dark, gloomy, rainy night in Forest. Lily asked me to make a delivery to Kiki, so I agreed to help her out. The gift was an optical shirt, and Kiki’s eyes tell me she was a bit surprised by the item.

Kiki: Well, would you look at that! An optical shirt!Down by my southern bridge (not far from Kiki’s house), Angus told Melba she had something on her face. After she tried to get it off, Angus said it was just her nose. Melba wasn’t very happy about the prank.

Melba, to Angus: ...It's not nice to make fun of people with yucky faces, toasty.I made my way back around to Lily’s house and told her I completed the delivery. She thanked me and gave me some ceramic tile as a reward. Can you imagine if people in real life gave everyone flooring and wallpaper as gifts all the time? What a strange world that would be.

Lily: Here... Please take this. It's some ceramic tile. Just a small token of my appreciation! Most of the summer bugs are long gone, but the goliath beetles are still out and about…even in the rain! I accidentally scared away the first one I saw, but I made sure to catch the second one. Gotcha!

I caught a goliath beetle! GOOOOOOOOLIATH!Ribbot’s replacement hasn’t moved in yet, so Forest still has nine animal villagers. I’ll update again later in the week to see who #10 turns out to be. See you then!
