Robin Relocates

Today, I received my bug trophy in the mail, from winning the Bug-Off last weekend. I sold it for 2,450 bells, which is more than I expected it to be worth.

When I visited Robin, I saw that she is moving out of town…and spreading her wings. 😆 Maybe she saw the Bat Signal in the sky, and she has to fly.

Robin: I just HAVE to spread my wings, so to speak. But I'm glad I saw you before I left, la-di-da! Take care!

I’m okay with her leaving; I do still have her in Wild World, after all.

Back outside, Felicity called me crazy for being up so late…even though it was only 8 p.m.! But then she realized that she was still up too, so she must be the crazy one. Either that, or everyone else.

Felicity: But I'm up, too... So that means that I'M the crazy one... Or maybe it's just everyone else!

Biskit was talking about K.K. Slider being at the Roost tonight. But he also was talking about going over there tomorrow to hear a song at lunchtime? K.K. won’t still be there tomorrow, dawg!

Biskit: I'm thinking of going over there tomorrow and requesting a good song with my lunch!

But speaking of the Roost, I did head over there myself. Monty was in there too, enjoying some coffee.

Monty, at the Roost: The coffee here is rich and mysterious, much like myself.

I asked K.K. for a random song, and he performed “K.K. House” for me and Monty.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. House.

It’s not a bad song; the chorus is the key, and now it lives rent-free in my head. 🏠😉

It was raining in town tonight, and Rosie was sick of the dampness. She even said if hating rain is bad, she wants to be REALLY bad. 😆

Rosie: Boooo! If hating the rain is bad, then I wanna be REALLY bad!

Nana was sick with a cold today, so I gave her some medicine. Get well soon, monkey brain.

July starts next week (Tuesday, in fact), and that means prime bug-hunting season is almost here! I’m wrapping up June with 67,650,000 bells in savings. My summer goal will be to earn 2.35 million more bells, so that I reach 70 million bells by September 1st. That shouldn’t be a problem with the way I enjoy my summer bug-hunting nights. 🙂 I’ll also post a video of one of those sessions at some point in July, too.

Good luck with your bug hunting everyone, and I’ll see you in July! 🦋

Bug-Off 2025

The first Bug-Off tournament of the year was held today, and Nat told me he would be glued to his spot until 6:00 p.m.

Nat: Well! For this day only, I shall be glued to this very spot until 6 o'clock!

I decided to keep an eye out for bugs as I made my rounds. Moments later, I was looking for the day’s money rock when a centipede popped out of a rock. I caught it and took it over to Nat. He judged it to be worth 71 points, which was more than the previous record, Marina’s 54-point diving beetle. Nat rewarded me with a black bishop for taking over the top spot.

Nat: And in return, I'll just help myself to your nice centipede. Yoink!

Honestly, I was surprised that a centipede was good enough to take the top spot. But that didn’t stop Robin from predicting that she would win the Bug-Off.

Robin: Sorry, but I'm the one who is going to win the Bug-Off today.

As I continued my walk around town, I spotted a Raja Brooke butterfly! I quickly tracked it down.

I caught a Raja Brooke butterfly! What a cute red collar!

However, I didn’t want to give it to Nat unless someone else overtook the top spot. Why give away a fairly valuable bug if I didn’t have to?

Over by the museum, I was surprised when Big Top called Nana a rat for finding out his secret bug-catching spot! 😆

Big Top: Nana found out where my top-secret bug-catching spot is... What a rat.

I circled back around town to the plaza outside of town hall, and Robin told me that people assume she attracts the wrong kind of bugs. 😆

Robin: People say that sweetly perfumed people like me attract the wrong kind of bugs...

But she assured me that she can lure good bugs too. I don’t even want to know what she’s talking about. 😛

I hung out next to Nat for a while, occasionally checking to see if my centipede had been overtaken. If so, I’d give Nat the Raja Brooke butterfly…but that wasn’t necessary. I held onto the top spot and won the Bug-Off. Nat told me my prize would be sent in the mail. I then went to Nook’s to sell the butterfly…but it only netted me 2,500 bells. I was thinking it was more valuable than that, but oh well.

I returned to the game later tonight, and made my way over to the Roost. Along the way, I had a chat with Mint. The conversation wasn’t very interesting, but I enjoyed how a firefly flew right in between our faces, illuminating Mint’s face.

Mint: I mean, this is the only time you can really stop and think, don't you think?

Once I got to the Roost, K.K. Slider professed his love for me. 😛

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: I Love You.

After the show, I wrapped up my game for the night. But I’ve actually posted two ACCF videos this week! First, I posted the latest City Folk Moments video:

And then I posted a gameplay video of a 25-minute evening session that I recorded on Wednesday.

I hope you enjoy both videos! I’ll be back with another entry next week, and I hope to see you then! Never Stop Crossing!

Rebuff the Magic Dragon

Yesterday, I was playing in the morning, and Mint was having trouble fully waking up for the day. That’s always relatable. 😪

Mint: So...sleepy... I'm having a hard time firing up my fabulousness...

Biskit has been sick with a cold, so I gave him some medicine yesterday and today. Get well soon, Biskit!

Biskit: Danks. By dose is still stuffy, but I feel better.

I checked the recycle bin at town hall today, and I found three items in there! It’s not often you see two items at once, let alone three!

Three lost items in the recycle bin at town hall in Animal Crossing: City Folk (ACCF) for Nintendo Wii.

The items were a lovely end table, an arcade machine, and a modern table. Not bad!

Marina asked me to deliver a gift to Felicity, and the present was so bad that Felicity (briefly) thought it was a joke.

Felicity: Wait, is this a joke? Oh, it is! Tee hee hee! Wait, it's NOT?!

It was a dragon suit, and Felicity was flabbergasted that Marina thought she would actually wear such a thing. 🐲

Felicity: Ohmigosh! Someone really thought I'd wear a dragon suit!
She rebuffed the magic dragon…suit.

After taking a break for a couple hours, I returned to the game later. I told Marina I made the delivery, and she rewarded me with a lovely carpet. Just like the one she had in her house, in fact.

I wrapped up my night with a visit to the Roost. I asked K.K. Slider for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Country” for me.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Country.

See you all next time!
