Static’s Back!

I received a letter from Biskit in the mail today. Don’t worry, he didn’t move out. But he’s over the cold that he had last week. To thank me for the medicine, he sent me some bowling pins. I guess my kindness really bowled him over. 🎳

When I checked the bulletin board, I saw confirmation that Willow did indeed win the fishing tournament last week. I knew nobody was going to top her 77-inch tuna.

I spoke with Antonio on a bridge, and he told me that he lost the key to his house. He wanted me to help him look, up his nose! Now that’s one place I’m not going to look!

Antonio: This is a total emergency! All hands on deck! Help me look, up my nose!

I spotted both of today’s snowballs in the big open area west of my fountain. It’s the spot where I held the original Pitfall Pandemonium. But I rolled the snowballs up and made what will probably be my last snowman of winter.

Snowman: I am an ivory idol! A frozen confection! And I owe it all to your skills! You have my eternal gratitude, sir!

The snow will actually be gone by Wednesday, believe it or not. And I’m not sure what day(s) I will play the game next week.

Once I worked my way around town, I found a house in the spot where Antonio originally lived, many years ago. Inside, I was very happy to find another returning former villager: Static!

Static: Say, I know that face... You live in Forest!

Even though it looks like he remembers me based on that last screenshot, I don’t think he really does. He also said it was nice to meet me, and he’s using his default clothes and catchphrase.

But anyway, Static is one of my favorite villagers in the entire series. He lived in Forest before (from 2015-2020), and of course I also have him in my GameCube and New Horizons towns as well. Welcome to Forest, old buddy!

I did a little fishing for Antonio’s key, and I actually found it right next to Antonio. Hey, it practically was right under his nose after all! 😛

I caught a key! ...Whose key is this?

I handed him the key, and he thanked me by giving me a mega harmonoid. I also caught a stringfish moments before (that I wouldn’t have seen if I hadn’t been fishing for his key), so maybe I’ll consider that part of my reward as well. 😛

Later on, I wrapped up my night with a stop at the Roost for K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show. I asked for a random song, and he performed “K.K. Marathon” for me. One of my least favorite songs in the game.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Marathon.

Yesterday, I posted an updated version of my Animal Crossing: Ultimate Quick Comparisons. It takes a look at many aspects of Animal Crossing and sees how they compare against other games in the series. Please check it out!

See you all next week!
