When I played City Folk last night, I found a new house on my path! This is in a different spot from where Opal lived, but I just replaced one house on a path with another. I haven’t decided if I’ll re-route the path or just leave it as-is.

Inside, I found Whitney the wolf. I’m glad to see her; she is one of my favorite wolves in the series.

Today, I started up the game and ran into Limberg. He was bored, so he wanted to plant some ugly rumors about Whitney. Wow, she just got here, and Limberg is already starting with her. Whitney wasn’t standing far away either, so she may have heard what he said. Don’t worry, Whitney, I’ll try to get rid of Limberg soon, if I can.

I sold some fruit, and I earned enough money to kick my bank account balance up to 36 million bells.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any fossils around town, so they must be well-hidden. I’ll have to sniff them out somehow.
At the Happy Room Academy in the city, I checked out the model room. This month’s theme was “cute rooms,” and Roald had the cutest room.

I just posted a new video, taking a look at seven online features of ACCF that didn’t return in New Leaf. Here is the video:
It’s a similar concept to this one from last year… But this one focused on offline features that can still be used and enjoyed even without online support from Nintendo.
Numbers 1 and 2 on your lost online features list should have returned. I only play New Leaf with my mom, but it would be better to voice chat instead of sending each other typo-laden texts, and we’d love to send letters without actually being in each other’s town.
Yes, I agree. Numbers 1 and 2 are, by far, the most important things on that list.
Hi Jeff! I found your blog from your interview on Kotaku, it was fantastic! 🙂 I’ve gone through periods over the last 2 years where I’ll randomly become re-obsessed with playing ‘New Leaf,’ and during one of those times I spent waaaay too much money hunting down as many of the amiibo figurines and cards as I could XP
I wanted to ask, would you say there’s still fun to be had if someone wanted to start a new town in City Folk, even though the online features are no more? I moved recently and hooked up my Wii and I’ve been wanting to enjoy some of my old Wii & GC games, trying to decide if getting hooked on City Folk while we wait for the new Switch game is worth it or should I stick to New Leaf for now.
Hi, and thank you! Yes, there’s still fun to be had in City Folk (and starting a new town in general can be enjoyable). One thing I love to do in City Folk is to catch tree beetles on summer nights. There can be lots of them out (particularly in July/August), and it’s a good way to make bells.
And I thought that 2 million bells was really something.
I just realized something,
Limberg is a real jerk to villagers,
even in my City Folk town.
I have Whitney in New Leaf, she’s was just moving in to town.
Congrats! I like Whitney a lot. 🙂
