Two Scoots

On Monday, I got Drake’s goodbye letter in the mail. It’s sad to see him go.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not a big fan of Limberg. But he was trying to get on my good side by suggesting that he should plant some ugly rumors about Tabby. Of course, the ugly rumors about Tabby have already been spread around (and confirmed).

Limberg: I wonder if now's the time to plant some ugly rumors about Tabby and watch the fun?

Today, Drift was sick with a cold. I had some medicine in my pockets already, so I gave it to him. Get well soon!

If you watch my Mario Plays ACCF video series, you know that I have Scoot the duck in my 2nd town of Mushroom. But today, Scoot also moved into Forest as well!

Scoot: Right on! Good to meet you. This is my first day living here. They call me Scoot.

Even though I didn’t like losing Drake, it softens the blow when one cool duck is replaced with another. Welcome to Forest, ducky!

And speaking of Mario Plays ACCF, episode 9 is here now. This time, Mario checks out GracieGrace, plays a game of hide-and-seek with Margie, and sees a familiar face up in the air… I hope you enjoy the video!

Drake Flies South

The fishing tournament was held today, and Chip (the judge) was in town. However, I played too late to participate in the event. But Chip told me that Al won the competition by catching a 45.4 inch sea bass.

Chip: Al from here in Forest! Solid fishing! But not so much for you. Nyuuk nyuk!

When I went to visit Drake, I saw that he had all his furniture packed up in boxes. I guess he’s flying south for the winter…but not coming back. Even though he wasn’t a Forest resident for long (just three months), it is a bit sad to see him go.

Drake: That's right, I'm leaving Forest. It's been great knowing you, but it's time for me to move on now.

I got a very different surprise when I visited Maple: She told me she was going to spend the rest of the day practicing kung fu! I’ve heard of Kung Fu Panda, so I guess Maple is Kung Fu Bear Cub. 😛

Maple: Speaking of hobbies, I think I'll spend today practicing kung fu, buzz off.

Drift asked me to make a delivery to Kitty, and I agreed to help out. He sent her a big dot shirt, and she put it on right away. She said she would try to find the right spot for it.

Kitty: It doesn't really fit my style, but I'll do my best to find the right spot for it at home, kitty cat.

As for my other town of Mushroom, my latest video is up now. This time, Mario attends his first K.K. Slider concert, buys another painting, learns that a cow is moving away, shoots down two balloon presents, receives a reward from the Bank of Nintendo, and gets a gift on Explorer’s Day from Mayor Koopa Troopa. I hope you enjoy it!

Kitty’s Fish Dump

Tabby was sick with a cold today, and I decided to be nice and buy her some medicine. She needs to be healthy so she can fight at full strength… I’m hoping she and Lindberg can fight Tom & Jerry style, and maybe kill each other. 😛

When I visited Kitty, I had to question her furniture (and fish) arrangement. It looks like she was fishing late at night when Nook’s was closed, so she just had to drop her fish in the middle of her house.

Pascal was in town, so I got a scallop out of storage for him. (There were none on the beach). He gave me a helm in return, and he offered some unusual words of…wisdom?

Pascal: Only runners can see the faces of other runners, maaaan. Ouch! My braaain!
Wouldn’t they see the backs of other runners? Unless they’re looking backwards, I guess.

And of course, with October being here, we have that ugly yellowish grass again. Yuck. I can’t wait until it’s gone.

I posted the latest video in my Mario Plays ACCF series today. Here is #7, in which Nookway opens up, Mario gets some coffee for the first time, Mario gets his fortune told by Katrina, and a new villager moves in…

If you watched the video, you saw that that new villager was none other than Ribbot, the robotic frog. I’ll be giving him the voice of F.L.U.D.D., the robotic water pack from Super Mario Sunshine.

But the interesting thing is that this Ribbot is the Ribbot that moved out of Forest in 2014! He won’t know that Mario is Jeff, of course, but he may share some letters from Forest, or otherwise mention his past life. It’s pretty cool to have him once again, especially since Forest itself doesn’t have any villagers that were around that long ago.

Ribbot: My name's Ribbot! I packed up my dumbbells and moved here from Forest.
