New Additions

My Bananas town got two new upgrades today. The first was Nook’s store; it upgraded from Nookway to Nookington’s. The grand opening was today.

Tom Nook: Welcome! Yes, yes, YES! Welcome to the grand opening of Nookington's!And then the other was the town upgrade, which was the addition of the town fountain.

Tortimer: Good news, Jeff! Our new fountain is finally done! And today is the opening ceremony! My main town Forest also got a new addition today, but on a smaller scale. Jeremiah the frog is my new villager who just moved in today.

Jeremiah: Nice to meetcha! I'm Jeremiah, and I'm so happy to finally meet someone from this town!

A Good Day for Old Wallpaper

Saharah was in town today, looking for old wallpaper.

Saharah: I came from far away. I wish to trade wallpaper. It is for wallpaper that I came to your town today. So I started going around town, asking everyone for old wallpaper. Along the way, I saw Caroline, who has recovered from her sickness the other day. She thanked me for the medicine I took her, and she gave me a ponderosa bonsai.

Caroline: Oh, and this... It's a ponderosa bonsai, to thank you for everything.Of my nine villagers, five were outside: Peggy, Del, Avery, Robin, and Amelia. All five of them had old wallpaper to give me! It’s extremely rare to get five wallpapers/carpets on Saharah day. And that was out of just eight total villagers; Anabelle was in The Roost and I couldn’t even ask her for any. I found Saharah and traded in three of the wallpapers and got the rare ringside seating from her.

Saharah: Here...a ringside seating. Very exotic... Treasure it. It is a very rare thing.I don’t really care for it, but I needed it for my checklist so I’m glad I got it. This is what it looks like:

The ringside seating wallpaper on display in my house, along with my snowman furniture. And of course I still have two old wallpapers left over for next time.

Moving right along, Del seems to have really enjoyed eating Egbert the other day, since he’s still talking about it. It appears that he wants to eat some beef next, though.

Del: I'll be saying "mmm Egbert" untiil the cows come home, mmm Egbert! After that, I switched over to my Bananas town. Nookway is remodeling, and will become Nookington’s tomorrow.

Currently remodeling. Please come again later. So I couldn’t sell fruit and fossils today, but I did remember to take Bananas Jeff to the city for the first time in several weeks. I checked the emotions at the theater. They had laughter, so I snatched it up. As those who have visited Bananas may know, I’ve had to use anger as my laughing emotion. But now Bananas Jeff can truly laugh for the first time.

Egbert Flew the Coop

It’s official: Egbert is gone.

Dear Jeff, It's almost time for me to leave Forest. 'Cause of you, every day I lived here was tons of fun. Thanks for everything! -From EgbertOne interesting thing I realized is that it was around this time last year (February 7) that he first moved into Forest. He couldn’t even stick around for a full year.

Anyway, I carried on with my walk around town. A notice on the bulletin board announced that Festivale is February 11th. That’s next Monday.

~Festivale Notice~ Festivale is February 11th! Get ready to CELEBRATE next week!Yesterday when I played, it was too late to check the emotions available at the theater. So I checked them today.

Emotions at the marquee: Disbelief, Joy, Glee, Sorrow.Back in Forest, I stopped at the spot where Egbert’s house was. Well at least I can replace my path now. Although that’s not much of a consolation.

Me sighing as I see the empty spot where Egbert's house stood. But Del seemed to have a different idea of what happened to Egbert.

Del: Heh... I ate Egbert!! I can feel myself sounding like a nicer person already!Anyway, I watered my flowers and found two new black roses. I decided to shake some trees before I ended my game, but that didn’t turn out so well either.
