Del Sure Likes His Coffee

I started out my day in my Bananas town, where the fruit trees I planted Saturday night have now matured and produced their first harvest.

The first harvest of the fruit trees in Bananas.I was originally going to replant all of the first harvest to make even more trees, but I decided against it this time. For one thing, Nook still has not had an axe for me to buy. So I can’t cut down existing trees to plant more. True, I could bury them anywhere, but that way I would lose some to dead spots. Planting in the same spot where an existing tree was guarantees that the tree won’t die.

Anyway, I found today’s snowballs and built a snowman in front of Nook’s. It was actually a perfect snowman this time; I haven’t been very successful at making them lately.

Snowman: But I never dreamed that I'd wind up this gorgeous! You, sir, are an artist! I can't thank you enough! After finding today’s money rock and selling today’s fossils and gyroids, I found I was close to having enough money to donate for my extra bridge. So I sold a bunch of foreign fruit until I had enough, then made the donation.

Thanks for your generosity! 200,000 bells. After that, I was done in Bananas and returned to my main town, Forest.

I checked Crazy Redd’s shop for new items. He had a dice stereo, a perfect painting, and a gold econo-chair. No thanks.

A dice stereo, a perfect painting, and a gold econo-chair on sale in Crazy Redd's shop. There were no new black roses today, unfortunately. But I did run into Saharah, who was looking for old carpet.

Saharah: I came from far away. I wish to trade carpets. It is for carpets that I came to your town today. As I started to ask my neighbors for carpet, Bob asked me for a new catchphrase. I had him say “gimme food.”

Bob: You said, "gimme food," right?I found nine of my villagers, and not a single one had carpet for me. And I couldn’t even ask Del, because he was busy having some coffee in The Roost. It was around 5:45pm when I first found him there.

Del: Look at me, lounging away in a swank cafe in the middle of the afternoon...I waited until 6:00 to see if he would leave then. He didn’t. So I turned the game off and checked back after 7:00.  And 8:00. Still there. After 9:00, he was in there with Phyllis. On a date perhaps??

Del, still in the Roost, hours later. At this point, I gave up hope of getting any carpet out of him and ended my game. It’s disappointing to once again have Saharah in town and not get anything out of it. There are still many carpets and wallpapers that I still need from her for my checklist.

Baby Trees

In Bananas, all the trees I planted yesterday are growing nicely. Thanks again to all who donated fruit. I’ll make sure Jorge doesn’t try to give these baby trees a haircut.

A bunch of new baby trees in the town of Bananas.Chief wanted to move out, but I told him to stay, and he agreed to stick around a while longer. After collecting my three fossils, finding the money rock, and failing to build a perfect snowman, I finished up my day in Bananas.

Back in Forest, I watered my flowers and found one new black rose. One weird thing happened; I got a Happy Room Academy letter about my house rating, even though I have the settings set to not receive letters. I even checked at the HRA to make sure it was on the right setting.

When I checked new emotions at the theater, there was nothing I wanted. But I did see Kiki in the city: She’s the black pig-cat that I used to have as a neighbor. I actually kind of liked her.

Kiki: And they led me straight to the bus for Jannali. I wish I knew whose shoes they were, kitty cat.

A Night in Bananas

In Forest, Avery was talking about people who tell rumors. His example of a rumor caught my attention though: “Someone filled my house with coleslaw.”

Avery: "So-and-so's been spreading bad rumors," or "someone filled my house with coleslaw."Later on, I opened my Bananas gate to visitors for the first time. Yann, Ashlyn, and Taylor came over. They started giving me some fruit, and Ashlyn gave me a couple furniture items for my house. But very quickly, we all got disconnected. I reopened the gate; Yann, Taylor, and Jake came in this time. I let everyone explore my town and meet the animals.

Yann: Wow, Jeff has two wolves.Taylor gave me an axe to use to cut down trees (which I was replacing with foreign fruit trees). But I didn’t get very far…

Awwww! I broke my axe...After putting the fireplace and drum from Ashlyn in my house, I invited everyone over to see.

My house in Bananas. After a while, the four of us went to watch K.K. perform some songs at The Roost.

Taylor struggles to get out of a pitfall right by the entrance of the museum.Taylor eventually left, and then Megan came over to visit. We did the Nook door glitch at 1:00.

Nook 'n' Go: CLOSED. SHOP HOURS 7:00 a.m.-1:00 a.m.Megan was away at one point, and she used the thinking pose to keep us from pushing her anywhere. But that wasn’t enough to stop me from pitfalling her.

Megan caught in a pitfall. We then hung out in the gate for a while.
