Tutu Out

When I played yesterday, I saw the quadrennial Leap Day notice on the bulletin board. This is the 4th Leap Day since the game has released.

~Leap Day~ Today is February 29th, the day that comes but once every four years! Do you feel like you gained a day?!

Nana sent me a letter thanking me for the medicine I gave her last week, and she attached a deluxe range to the letter (somehow). 😛

I shot down a balloon present against a nearly cloudless blue sky. I found a metronome inside.

A balloon present flies overhead...but not for long.

Tutu informed me that she was moving out, and I did not try to stop her.

Tutu: I'm moving, twinkles!

As you can see in that screenshot, Pascal was in town. I gave him a scallop, and he started talking about clowns clownfish.

Pascal: Clownfish don't even own a clown CAR, maaan! How do they do it?
He gave me a ship compass in return.

I played again tonight, and I listened in on a conversation between Antonio and Mint.

Antonio: Yo, Mint, wouldn't it be weird if we were married?

Antonio told Mint that it would be weird if they were married, and this offended Mint in two ways. One, that he would think she would ever marry him, and two, because he said it would be weird. 😛

Surprisingly, Tutu was already packed up to dance out of town! So I said goodbye to her.

Tutu: I was happy at first. But then I cried.
Just grin and bear it.

At the Roost, K.K. Slider performed K.K. Lullaby for me. And sure enough, it made me yawn. 🥱

K.K.: Here's a jam that'll shine the blues clean off your shoes... It's called K.K. Lullaby.

I delivered a gift from Big Top to Tom, and Big Top rewarded me with a coffee maker.

Big Top: Huh huh huh huh! Nothing screams 'Jeff' like a coffee maker!

I found two furniture items in the recycle bin tonight, including a wide-screen TV! The other item was a judge’s bell, but who throws away a wide-screen TV? 😆 (Then again, it only sells for 550 bells, so it’s not quite the steal I thought it was.)

See you next time!

Grizzly Favors

On Thursday, Saharah was in town. She was looking for old wallpaper.

Saharah: I came from far away. I wish to trade wallpaper. It is for wallpaper that I came to your town today.

I asked around for old wallpaper, and Grizzly was the only villager who helped me out.

Grizzly: I'm up to my eyeballs in wallpaper around here, for some reason I can't remember.

I put that wallpaper into storage for future use.

Tonight, I headed over to the Roost for K.K.’s Saturday night performance. Unfortunately, he played my least-favorite song of all, K.K. Song.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Song.

A bit later, I listened in on a conversation between Antonio and Gabi (near my house). Antonio asked Gabi what she’d like to do for a career, and Gabi responded that she’s going to make her own line of tae kwon do uniforms. That’s…very specific.

Gabi: I'll make my own line of designer Tae Kwon Do uniforms!

Grizzly asked me for a fossil, so I gave him a sabertooth skull that I dug up. I don’t typically help villagers out when they ask for fossils (since their rewards are always less valuable than the fossil), but Grizzly did help me out with the wallpaper the other day.

Grizzly: Sugar J! Did you find this sabertooth skull in some forgotten, trap-laden tomb? Or did you just dig?

In return, he gave me a chic wall. 😛 Here are a few other quick notes from tonight’s session:

  • Nana was sick with a cold, and I gave her some medicine.
  • Big Top asked me for blue furniture, but I couldn’t find any. I even shook trees for the daily furniture items (and got stung by bees several times in the process).
  • I found a pink kotatsu in the recycle bin.
  • The snow will be all melted by 6 a.m. tomorrow! Bring on spring!

Big Re-Entrance

Tonight, Gabi told me that she locked herself out of her house. She said she’s hungry and can’t eat because there’s no food outside. But there was fruit outside. You could easily see two cherry trees and an orange tree from that very spot. 😛

Gabi: Ohmigosh, I'm so hungry and I can't get into my house and there's NO FOOD OUT HERE!

I got a very nice surprise when I entered a new house tonight. Superhero elephant Big Top, who just moved out of Forest 16 months ago, has returned!

Big Top: Eep! My place still isn't ready, and neither am I! I'm Big Top, and I just moved here today.

He’s been one of my favorites for many years, so it’s great to have him back in town! 😁

In the southwest part of town, I’ve noticed that my grass has regrown quite a bit! As you may or may not remember, I added a path and started planting flowers around here last summer. Here’s a pic of what it looked like last July.

And here is it today. The grass has filled in nicely! I’m really happy with how it has turned out. 🙂

My regrown grass in the southwest part of town.

There was a heavy meteor shower tonight, so I stopped over by the windmill to watch them for a while.

Two shooting stars in the skies over Forest.

At one point, there were three shooting stars on-screen at once! But two of them were fading away as the third was just entering the picture, so it doesn’t look as impressive as it sounds. 😛

Three shooting stars at once, although two of them are fading out.

Antonio asked me for a new greeting, so I just told him to say “I eat ants.” I like to keep it simple. 🐜

See you all next time! Never Stop Crossing!
