Today was the 4th of July (Independence Day in the U.S.), but City Folk does not recognize the holiday, even though the GameCube game does. City Folk does have fireworks in August, but that’s not the same.
Anyway, it was raining off-and-on in Forest today. Victoria asked me to find some ranch furniture for her, but I didn’t have any and neither did Nook. She said something I don’t recall seeing before; she mentioned that not even the Internet could help her.
I went down to the beach to see Gulliver. I shot his UFO down yesterday, so he crash landed on the beach today.
So I gave him his spaceship part and he gave me a plate armor. It’s an item I’ve had before, but I did want another one (because I accidentally sold the first one). My Scott character has a room upstairs where I keep my Gulliver items. I switched to Scott and added the plate armor to the display.
Maybe I’ll get the Metroid next time. Sigh…..
Even though Egbert hasn’t specifically said he would stay in town, it appears that he’s safe now. That’s because Mint was talking about moving out. I didn’t try to stop her. Mint is okay, but it’s better her moving out than an animal I like a lot.
I played between 5:00 and 5:30 so I could check for Pete. I circled town once, no sign of Pete. Then I did it again and again…still no Pete (and no other visitors either). This indicated that the UFO would be coming! The UFO hasn’t come since
I searched around and recovered the spaceship part.
Gulliver will be in my town tomorrow. I’ll exchange the spaceship part for one of his rare treasures. This is my 18th time shooting down the UFO and recovering the spaceship part. I’m hoping I will finally get the Metroid I’ve been wanting for years.
I went into the Happy Room Academy (HRA) to check out the model room theme for July. This time, it’s the room that’s most nostalgic. A room with princess furniture was on display.
Lyle told me it was Phoebe’s room.
I went back to Forest and made my walk around town. I saw a large fish shadow in the river, so I fished it out. It was an arapaima, which is worth 10,000 bells. I love summer in ACCF.
I stopped in the Able Sisters and said hello to Sable. The last three times I’ve talked to her (excluding Wi-Fi times) have all been on Saturdays, oddly enough. So I thought I’d say hello on a different day for a change.
Wendell, the starving artist/walrus was in town. I didn’t feed him, but I said hello to him. That counts for something, right?
As night fell, it started to rain in town. I caught a few good bugs (and a shark). Then I went to deposit my money (mostly from last night), which was around 250,000 bells. This boosted my bank account balance over the 12 million mark.
