Mother’s Day

Today is Mother’s Day and I received a letter from home. “Mom” also attached a bag of pink carnation seeds to the letter.

Dear Jeff, Today (and today only), your dad is doing the laundry and cleaning. It's my once-annual day off, and I intend to enjoy it! It's my day. -MomThe occasion was also noted on the bulletin board.

~Today is Mother's Day~ Don't forget to tell your mom you love her!I took the bus to the city and checked for new emotions. Nothing piqued my interest this week.

Clerk: What show would you like to see today?Back in Forest, Victoria played her town tune from when she used to live in Anville. However, she was playing it right as the hourly chimes were playing my town tune, so I didn’t hear it at all.

Victoria: It's the town tune from my old, like, stomping ground of Anville.I talked to Bob and he asked me to deliver something to Egbert.

Bob: Okaydokey then. I'd like you to take this to Egbert, please.I stopped in Patty’s house and saw that she is now packed. She will be gone in a day or two.

Patty: Like, hi there, Super J! This took me a REALLY long time to decide, but I'm totally moving.I eventually made my way to Egbert’s house and gave him the gift from Bob. It turned out to be a paulowina closet.

Egbert: Thanks for bringing this, egg-layer! And please say thanks to Bob!I returned to Bob and told him the delivery was complete. He thanked me and gave me a concrete wall.

Bob: Huh huh huh huh! Nothing screams "Super J" like a concrete wall!

Friday Night Forest

Tonight I opened my gate around 10:00 and Yann came to visit. We went into Able’s, and they had the DimentioMask HDLC. I tried it on, but didn’t buy it.

Mabel, to Jeff wearing the DimentioMask HDLC: Oh, that looks absolutely perfect on you! Shall I wrap it up?I walked around town and talked to some of my animals, including Del.

Del: What was I thinking, skipping my afternoon nap? Staying up tonight is gonna be tough, hermano.Victoria was telling me how to be a gracious host. She told me when a visitor catches a fish, I should clap non-stop until my hands hurt.

Victoria: Oh! Like, if they catch a fish, you could clap and clap until your hands hurt. Like this! Yaaaaay! At one point, I accidentally fell into my own pitfall trap. As soon as I replaced it, Yann came by and fell in it too.

Yann falls into a pitfall. We hung out in my house for a while, but then we ended up doing some fishing before I closed the gate. This particular sea horse was doing some serious evasive moves, but I eventually caught him.

Jeff, holding a sea horse: Tricky little guy.

Saharah and the Throne

It was raining in my town today. I went into Nook’s and he had a throne for sale for 720,000 bells. I still needed it for my catalog checklist, but that is a lot of money. Even the pieces of furniture at Gracie Grace aren’t nearly that expensive.

Tom Nook: Just 720,000 bells! Don't miss out on it, friend! You want it, yes?So I ultimately decided not to buy it this time. Maybe after I earn my platinum membership I could buy it, since it will be a little cheaper then. Anyway, I went walking around town and talked to Bob.

Bob: Hey brother! It looks like nature is telling us we should take a shower today, in bed!I also spotted Saharah. She was looking for old carpeting.

Saharah: I came from far away. I wish to trade carpets. It is for carpets that I came to your town today.Yuka and Del gave me their old carpets, and I combined that with one I had in storage to get the three necessary for a rare carpet. I gave them to Saharah and she gave me…a basement floor? That was disappointing.

A basement floor on display in my house.
