Friday Night Forest, Christmas in July, Golden Man

I opened up my gate shortly after 10:00, as is my usual for Friday nights. ToonZelda (TZ) came in. Apparently it was Christmas in July. She brought me a Jingle TV, which was DLC in Europe/Australia.

T Zelda: ho ho ho Jeff. Jeff: Merry Christmas, TZ.I was telling TZ I wondered who I would get to replace Chief. And she informed me that it had already happened! Pierce is my new neighbor.

Pierce: Yo! You must live right here in Forest! It seems like I’ve had him in my town before, although it may have been in my GameCube town. Or maybe a friend has/had him before. There’s so many animals in the Animal Crossing games that it’s hard to keep track of where you know an animal from. But I know I knew him from somewhere. 😀

I then started watering my flowers. Halfway through, I went into my house to check out the new DLC for July, the golden man.

The golden man DLC for July. While continuing to water flowers, I noticed Saharah was in town, looking for old wallpaper. Soon after, Chris came in. With today being July 1, many summer bugs were out and about for the first time since last summer. So we did some bug-catching.

Whoa!Jeff: Strong, tough, AND awesome.I eventually remembered to ask around for old wallpaper, but Del was the only animal to give me some. I had one in storage, but that still was only two total, and you need three to get a rare wallpaper from Saharah.

Anyway, by 11:25, TZ and Chris both left for the night. Just five minutes later, Bushido came in. He wasn’t talking much, but we caught bugs for a little while. He left before too long, and I just caught bugs by myself while I waited a few minutes to see if anyone else would come in. They didn’t, so I closed the gate. In all, I made about 70,000 bells tonight.

And That Was All Chief Wrote

It was rainy in Forest on this last night of June. Chief is now officially gone; I got his goodbye letter in the mail today. It was pretty cool that he wrote it on SMB3 paper. (That’s Super Mario Bros. 3 in case anyone didn’t know that).

Jeff, Thanks for being here for me. I'm a better animal for knowing you. I'm leaving Forest behind, but I'll be thinking of you in my new home!I didn’t have to water my flowers of course, but I still went around town, talking to animals and checking for new black roses (there were two today). I went in the Able Sisters’ shop and bought a do-rag. Only because it was one of only a few accessories not already in my catalog. It wasn’t a very eventful day, but tomorrow should be more interesting…it’ll be Wi-Fi night.

Mabel: Ohh, OK, never mind then. Don't be shy, now. Just grab me if you need anything.Mint: Oh! It's you, dude! I haven't seen you for a while, you valve.

A Solemn Purchase

Wednesday is the day that Crazy Redd gets new inventory, so I took the bus to the city to see what he had in store. The hawthorn bonsai and cabana chair didn’t interest me, but what is this in the middle?

Redd: Oh, ho! I see you've taken quite a shine to that there solemn painting, yes?Could it be? Could it really be?? The last painting I need to complete the art museum! Since I like to record things like this for my Youtube channel, I quickly hooked up my video and audio cables to my TV tuner card. I started recording as I bought the painting and quickly made my way to the museum. I gave it to Blathers, and…

Blathers: This... Upon close perusal, I see this is most certainly NOT the original! It is a vile, shameless forgery!…it’s a fake. A forgery. It’s bogus. Artificial. I’ve been swindled by that crazy fox. What a disappointment. Oh well. I’m going to complete my museum one of these days weeks months years.

Chief hasn’t moved out yet, so I talked to him one last time. He’ll be gone tomorrow. On a brighter note, I did find two new black roses in town today. So today wasn’t a complete loss, I s’pose.
