Pig Fall Seeds

I received Bones’s goodbye letter in the mail today.

Dear Jeff, Moving day is finally here, and I keep thinking of the fun times we had. Those memories are what I'll take with me to my new town, not just boxes and stuff. I'll miss you! -Bones

It’s sad to see him go, but I’m trying to look on the bright side. Not only do I still have Bones in New Horizons, but perhaps his departure will allow another lazy villager to move in. You know, like Bob. 😉 You’re always welcome in Forest, Bob!

Wolfgang was enjoying some coffee in the Roost tonight. He was feeling rich and mysterious. 😛

Wolfgang: The coffee here is rich and mysterious, much like myself.

I asked K.K. Slider for a random tune, and he sang the blues. Literally.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Blues.

Rasher asked me for a fossil, so I gave him an apato skull that I dug up. In return, he gave me a Persian wall. That seems like such a common reward! But of course, wallpaper for a fossil is not a good trade for me.

But even though I helped Rasher out by giving him such a valuable fossil, I didn’t want him to get the wrong idea and think that we’re friends. So I pitfall’d him.

Rasher falls into a pitfall.

…and then I did it again. 😀

Rasher falls into another pitfall.

The second one was more enjoyable, because I got to see his huge eyes bulge out as he fell in. 😂

I posted a new video today, taking a look at some more quick comparisons about the series. One interesting bit of trivia is that each game has a different character give you the golden axe! The video is a quick watch, so I hope you’ll check it out. 🙂

No Bones About It

I was thoroughly disappointed when I walked into Bones’s house today. I saw my doggy all packed up and ready to move out of town. 🙁

Bones: Well, see, I'm actually leaving Forest. For good, woof woof.

Even though I also played yesterday, Bones made no mention of his plans. He has lived here since January 2019. And his departure will leave Forest with just two dogs (Goldie and Lucky), after I had four dogs for a good while recently. I’m sad to see him go. The only good news is that I still have him on my New Horizons island.

Anyway, that wasn’t the only questionable move involving bones: Tom put two fossils (both apparently wings) right in front of his door. The back half of his room is clear and empty, but you have to dodge some giant bony fossils as soon as you enter.

Tom's wing fossils in front of his door.
Did you hire an interior decorator, or did you just wing it?

At the Roost, I asked K.K. Slider for a random song. He played K.K. Lament, which is a good–but sad–song. That was okay with me, because it matched my mood today.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Lament.

Last week, I mentioned that the door to Katrina’s fortune-teller shop is rarely used. But very close to that spot, there was an even less-frequently used opening tonight:

A light is on at the end of the street, indicating the Reset Center is open.

It’s the entrance to the Reset Surveillance Center, and I found Don–but not Resetti–inside. He said his brother “Sonny” just went to get a massage at Myrtle’s Macho Mole Spa. 😛

Don: Still, when I see him moussin' his whiskers in front of the mirror, I kinda feel like gaggin'...

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, everyone.

Hit in the Head

I received a letter from Bones today, thanking me for a delivery I made last week. My pockets were full at the time, so he sent me a pyramid in the mail. It sounds more like a gift from Lucky, but I’ll take it.

When I visited Puck, I did some snooping in his drawers. He needs to get organized! 😛

Jeff, looking in Puck's dresser: ...Someone needs to organize a bit.

Wolfgang was locked out of his house, with no one to help him look for his key. Too bad, so sad. 😛

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, so I headed over to the Roost to check out the show. I asked for a random song, and he played K.K. Safari for me. I’d be lion if I said I enjoyed it a lot…but it was alright.

K.K.: All right, get ready to dig the riffs on this ditty: K.K. Safari.

Gwen asked me for a fossil, so I gave her an icthyo torso that Blathers just identified for me. Gwen rewarded me with some plaza tile.

Nothing was going on in town, so I headed out to the city. I decided to visit Katrina to get my fortune told.

Entering Katrina's shop.
A door rarely opened.

I paid her 100 bells and she dropped a bucket on my head. Sounds like a fair trade. Or maybe that’s just the brain damage talking.

Katrina: YEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee!
This was not on my bucket list.

She said that fortune may favor me, or it may not. Something bad may be in my future, or it may not. I left her shop more confused than when I entered, and now with a headache too. I think this may have been a mistake. 😵
