Macaroons for a Goat?

Last Sunday night, I again attended the fireworks festival. Bones wanted to watch the fireworks with me. Aww, he’s so cute! Of course I will, Bones!

Bones: Tonight's fireworks show just started. Wanna watch it together?

When I spoke with Isabelle, she gave me another star bopper…the same one as the week before! You know, the same one I was still wearing. 😛 Thanks anyway, Isabelle.

Yesterday, Static was telling me about some macaroons he got from his neighbor. Hmm, I wonder which neighbor it was (because they didn’t give me any)! 😛

Static: Anyway, I got these macaroons from my neighbor the other day.

Static told me he was going to feed the macaroons to a goat (until he tried them himself). But I can’t get over the goat thing. Why on earth would he give them a goat? Why not give some to me? And which goat would it be, anyway? Forest doesn’t have any goats!

Static: I was gonna feed 'em to a goat or somethin', but I took a tiny bite... and the darn things are delicious!

It was a weird conversation. So I walked out, and guess what I saw right by Static’s house? A goat! It was Nan, who was in town as a tourist.

Nan: It's a short stay, but I intend to make the most of it, kid!
…by eating my macaroons!

With summer on its way out, I spent nearly half an hour catching bugs tonight.

I caught a horned elephant! I think it's too small to ride...

I caught several rare ones, more semi-common ones, and three sharks as well.

Here are a few other quick notes from this week:

  • On Monday night, K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Sonata” for me, Bones, Agent S, Peanut, and Merengue. I enjoyed the show. 🙂
  • On Tuesday, I sold 17 bugs to Flick for 148,500 bells. Peak bug season only has a few days left, and I’m going to miss it.
  • Tonight, K.K. Slider performed “K.K. Lament” for me. Even though Peanut, Louie, and June were seated before I spoke with K.K., they all got up and left me alone.

Fireworks Festival 2026

Last Sunday, I (finally) attended my first fireworks festival of the year. Isabelle was at the event plaza, and she gave me a star bopper to wear. I then hung out there for a few minutes to enjoy the fireworks. 🎆

Enjoying the fireworks from the plaza.

I also watched them a bit from the pier in front of the hotel.

Watching the fireworks from the dock outside the hotel. Kapp'n says hi.

On Monday, Cally the squirrel was camping at the campsite. She’s kind of cute, but I did not invite her to move in.

Cally, at the campsite: Hi there! Do you live here? You're so lucky--I'm just visiting, WHEE.

C.J. was also in town Monday, so I sold him 20 fish from storage for 213,000 bells. On Friday, Flick was the island visitor. I sold him 32 bugs for 248,250 bells. Those two transactions helped my savings balance reach 145 million bells.

Savings Balance: 145,000,000 bells.

Tonight, I started up the game after 8 p.m. However, there was no K.K. Slider show because of a Bug-Off…that had already ended. So I got neither thing. 😛

The disappointment continued when I found today’s money rock. After just three hits, a tourist (Annalisa the anteater) walked over and got in my way, starting a conversation instead of letting me continue to bang my rock. 😛 I hit her with my net a few times, but she didn’t get mad.

Tourist: Oh, hello! You live here, right? It's so nice to meet you. I'm Annalisa.

There’s another fireworks show tomorrow night. Enjoy the show!

This Flea Won’t Escape

Last Sunday, I played during the daytime and I was planning to return later once the fireworks festival started. However, I completely forgot! So I missed the fireworks again! Fortunately, I still have three more chances, including tomorrow night.

On Tuesday, I noticed something about Bob’s flea. The one in his house, I mean. You know how it’s automatically kept under a glass? His was also inside a sample case. So the flea was under glass twice! Either he really doesn’t want that flea to escape, or he’s making sure the flea gets no fresh air at all. 😛

A flea inside a glass, inside a sample case.

The next day, I helped Gullivarrr retrieve his phone from the sea. He thanked me by sending me a pirate barrel in the mail.

On Thursday, I found a lost item (a book) on the ground. But before I could even ask anyone about it, June told me that she lost her journal!

June: I couldn't find it at home, so I've been searching for it outside..

I wanted to tell her that I already found it, but the only options were to say “I’ll keep an eye out” or “Sorry, haven’t seen it.” So I had to start another conversation with her to tell her that I had it. So odd that it works this way. But she was ultimately happy to have the journal back, and she thanked me with a paisley bandanna.

Tonight, I attended K.K. Slider’s Saturday night show, and I was glad to see several villagers in attendance. I asked for a random song, and K.K. performed “K.K. Rally” for me, Bones, Savannah, Bob, and Agent S.

I’m going to try not to miss the fireworks tomorrow night. And I’ll be back with another entry at some point next week. Hope to see you then!
