Easiest Project Ever

Marina told me that she fell into a pit the other day (which isn’t true), and it took her half the morning to get out. Even though that ruined her mood, her luck improved when she caught a giant fish later on (also not true). 😛

Marina: The other day, I fell into a pit and it took all morning to climb back out.

I recorded my new house tour today, and I hope to upload it tomorrow (after I get my house score from the Happy Home Academy).

K.K. Slider was in town tonight, and I asked him for a random song. He played K.K. Mariachi for me, Sasha, and Ketchup. After the show, Ketchup recited a little poem:

Winter went, and spring has come!
Let’s celebrate by doing something dumb!

-Ketchup, 2022

She then told me to shut up. 😮

Ketchup: What? It kind of rhymed. Shut up.
Rude.

Out on Lottie’s Island, I worked a shift at Paradise Planning. Rod wanted a pirate hideaway, and I thought that would be a fun project to do! However, my excitement quickly walked the plank when I saw that none of the pirate items were available for this project! Oof.

I put a few barrels around Rod’s tiny island, along with some tiki torches and a creepy skeleton. At least I was able to put a skull doorplate on the door.

Indoors, I used some elegant golden furniture for Rod to store his stash of gold and bells. I also included a gold-nugget mining car, a throwback skull radio, a hammock, and a treasure map. For the wall and carpet, I used a sea wall and ship deck.

When I returned to the office, I was surprised to find Tom Nook there. He told Lottie that we can now use products from Nook Shopping! I’m assuming that means any item that I can normally order, but I haven’t tested it yet.

Tom Nook: I'll make arrangements so you can order any of the products from Nook Shopping for your vacation homes!

Lottie paid me 15,000 Poki for my work. I normally stop after designing one house, but I encountered the easiest project possible: Teddy wanted a place that’s packed up to move! I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to get one step closer to my goal with minimal work, so I took the job.

I chose a desert location for him, just because I’ve rarely had a chance to use these desert islands. And if Teddy is moving out right away, it doesn’t really matter anyway. 😛 He insisted on a moving truck outdoors, and I loved the fact that it had a teddy bear on it (just like Teddy himself)! 🧸 I also added some cacti to fit the climate.

Indoors, I just used a bunch of cardboard boxes in various stack shapes. 😂 Easiest project ever. 😎

Teddy's vacation home with his belongings all packed up in boxes.

Teddy was thrilled with his house full of boxes, and I was thrilled to steal “earn” 15,000 Poki for my “work.” 😛

That’s all for tonight. There may not be a blog entry tomorrow, but I will be posting my house tour to Youtube. See you next time!

All Dressed Up

On Tuesday, I spotted six villagers in the plaza at once! That’s pretty unusual for a non-event day. Four of them (Louie, Ketchup, Static, and Apollo) were singing, while Bones was exercising and Agent S was just passing through.

Six villagers hanging out at the plaza in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Hamlet the hamster was camping out at the campsite. I’ve had him in New Leaf before and I like him, but I didn’t invite him to my island.

Hamlet, at the campsite: I just got here today, and I gotta say the island's really nice! Feels perfect for baseball, hammie.

Wisp was in town, and he gave me a washbasin when I returned his spirits.

I’ve been spending more time working on my house lately, and ordering/customizing items. Cyrus has never had so much business before. 😂 I’ve never done a proper house tour video for New Horizons, so I think it’s time. I may be able to record a tour over the weekend. Then I’ll have at least one house tour video for all five main Animal Crossing games.

Today, I found a lost item (a book) on the ground. I returned it to its owner, Sasha, and he rewarded me with a dolly.

Sasha: Hey! It's my picture book! I couldn't find it anywhere!

Label was in town, and she wanted to see me in a formal outfit. She gave me a cafe uniform as an example, but I decided to go even more formal than that. I put on a vibrant tuxedo, a top hat, and some loafers. I also took off my sword. 😛 When I returned to Label, she said my outfit was perfectly coordinated.

Label: Amazing! I've never seen an outfit so perfectly coordinated!

She rewarded me with some Labelle sneakers (and two tailors tickets, which I’ll get in the mail tomorrow). For now, I decided to keep the tuxedo on, even if I have no legitimate reason to do so. 😂 I’m all dressed up with nowhere to go. 😛 But it looks nice, and it’s something different, so why not?

I’ll be back with another entry soon. Hope to see you then! 🙂

Throne Room

At first glance yesterday, I briefly thought I was witnessing a glitch: I thought I saw a fish shadow…on the grass!

A shadow on the grass.

But it was just the shadow of my balloon. 😂 Maybe I need to get my fish-eye lens checked out. 😉

One of the Nooklings’ hot items was a forbidden altar. Since I have a lot of stones in storage that I don’t necessarily need to keep, I got a bunch of them out and crafted forbidden altars out of them. Each one takes 30 stones, so it’s a quick way to clean out unnecessary stones (and profit from them). They sold for 9,000 bells apiece.

Today, the Nooklings had a throne for sale! It was red, and I thought it would look good in my bedroom. So I got a king’s ransom out of storage and bought it!

Tommy: Let's see... That's 800,000 bells. What do you think?

When I took it home, it gave me a reason to finally do a little redecorating. I moved some things around, and I decided that the Leo sculpture on the wall actually looked pretty cool with my throne. I dressed up like a king, but apparently I’m just a pirate king, because I don’t have a complete king outfit. 😂

As I was working, I earned a whopping 5,000 Nook Miles for completing the Hoard Reward achievement. You get it for having 150 pieces of furniture in your house.

I moved all of my villager photos to my left room. I crafted some low marble island counters to display my special character photos (except for the ones I’m using in my Animal Crossing museum castle), and a few other miscellaneous items. At least this room finally has a purpose!

I may make some more minor changes to my house in the coming days too.

Jolly Redd’s ship was parked on the north beach, but he didn’t have any art that I needed. However, I did buy a hanger rack just to have it in my catalog.

See you next time!
