Apparently in honor of Black Friday, the Nooklings announced yesterday that everything at Nook’s Cranny would be 30% off for the rest of the month.

However, the Nooklings will tell you about the sale (with a five-page set of dialogue) every time you go into the store. So it gets a little annoying. I’d rather pay full price and avoid the nag-alogue, but that’s just me. 😂

Bones asked to visit my house last night, and I agreed to let him come over. Inside, he gave me his photo…but I was really just waiting for him to leave. After 4+ minutes of standing around, then he told me he wanted to see the other rooms too. So I took him around to each room, and we finished in the basement.

Ten minutes into the visit, he finally decided to leave. I’m not a fan of these visits. 😛

At the Roost, I had my usual cup of coffee. Brewster then gave me a coffee plant!

Today, Bones sent me a letter in the mail. He said he’s curious about the secret rooms he hasn’t seen yet! Even though he saw them all!

It was K.K. Slider night, and the singing dog performed a new song called K.K. Khoomei for me, Apollo, Bones, Static, and Louie. The song is a bit weird, and it sounded like it had some mic feedback or static during parts of the song. Still, I kind of liked it.

When I put the aircheck in my stereo, the album cover didn’t show up! I thought maybe it was loading, so I kept waiting and waiting, but nothing.

However, when I closed and reopened the music player screen, then it finally showed up.

On Tuesday, Leif finally had some sugarcane starts for sale on Harv’s Island. I bought ten of them and planted them when I back to Forest; I have a lot of recipes that are waiting on some sugar!

Redd also had new inventory on Harv’s Island: He had a fake gallant statue and a warrior statue that I think was real. I bought the warrior statue, and it arrived on Wednesday. I took it up to the museum and donated it. Not only was it authentic, but it somehow turned into about 15 statues! 😛

I found Roald the penguin camping at the campsite! I like him a lot (well, not in Wild World; he was a jerk in that game). But if I had an open spot on my island, I would have taken him.

Late last night, Blathers made the long trip up the stairs to get some coffee. 😛 He even called me a fellow night owl, so that was cool.

Today is Thanksgiving in the U.S., which means it’s Turkey Day! I quickly headed to the plaza, and there was quite a festive atmosphere. Marina said it was a treat for Franklin to feed her personally. Wait, what??

Speaking of Franklin, I was…speaking with Franklin. He wanted to start the event with some clam chowder. So I helped him out by fetching three manila clams, and he started cooking!

I continued to find the ingredients for each dish, including a pumpkin pie, some seafood gratin, and a fish meunière. Once we were finished, he gave me a cornucopia and the recipes for each of today’s four dishes. If you missed out, the recipes will be available in the shop tomorrow.

However, Franklin wasn’t done. He wanted to improve each of the four dishes with a secret ingredient. A couple of the secret ingredients were easy as pie, but the other two were taking me a while. I had to resort to helping out my villagers. 😛

It took some time and effort, but I eventually perfected all four dishes. Yay!

Late on Saturday night (after midnight), I found K.K. Slider enjoying some coffee in the Roost.

The Roost is where K.K. used to perform in the City Folk and Wild World days, so it was nice to see him reunited with Brewster…at least for a while.

On Sunday night, I recovered Wisp’s spirits and he gave me a shaded pendant lamp.

After I drank some more coffee, Isabelle came into the Roost again for more coffee. And as I left, Brewster gave me another item: a cup with saucer.

When I played tonight, I forgot that the cup with saucer was a Brewster item, and I sold it. The good news is that it can be ordered from the catalog (whew!), so I ordered a replacement. ☕

I visited Apple, and she told me that she’s been craving vichyssoise lately. However, she said she still prefers apple juice…even as a chip dip! 😮

Jolly Redd’s ship was in town tonight, but he didn’t have any art that I needed.

Celeste was also in town to enjoy a heavy meteor shower. She gave me a Scorpius fragment, which I thought was odd. Surely I haven’t already received all of her new items, have I? Unless she only had a few added in the 2.0 update. 🤷‍♀️ But I did get a cute video clip of her walking right towards the camera on a narrow cliff. I think I’ll turn it into a video outro.

Today is Monday, which meant that the vendors on Harv’s Island have new inventory. But because Redd was in Forest, and it was after 11 p.m., it practically felt like a ghost town there. 😛 Katrina, Saharah, Reese & Cyrus, and Kicks were the only ones there. I bought a few things from Saharah and Kicks, but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow for Redd and Leif.
