Forced to Pick a Seat

I received my latest reward from Gulliver in the mail today; he sent me another turban.

It’s K.K. Slider night, so I headed over to the plaza to check out the show. Eloise, Louie, and Bones were all there…but they were all seated separately, each next to an empty chair. So I was forced to choose to sit next to one of them. 😛

Eloise, Louie, and Bones all seated next to empty chairs during K.K.'s show.

So I sat next to my buddy Bones. K.K. performed K.K. Dixie, which isn’t exactly my favorite, but I still enjoyed the show.

Afterwards, Eloise told me that she selects her perfumes based on the weather. So today, she said she smelled like apple. 🍎

Eloise: For example, today I smell like apple, ella-weez.
Apple the fruit or Apple the hamster?

Was it raining apple juice or something? Anyway, she seemed to regret the decision, because insects were bugging her all day. They were apparently drawn to the scent.

Bones was basically listing his favorite things about fall.

Bones: There are so many kindsa fall! There's sportsy fall... Booksy fall... Wear-a-sweater-and-sip-coffee fall...

But he eventually shifted his attention to pies, telling me that pie pies (pies baked into other pies) are the best. 😛

Tomorrow is Halloween, and I plan on participating once again. If you need a refresher on how it all works, see my Halloween Guide. Good luck tomorrow!

Moody Painting

On Wednesday night, I received my moody painting in the mail from Jolly Redd. I took it up to the museum, and Blathers confirmed its authenticity! So I was able to donate a real work of art to the museum two days in a row! That sure doesn’t happen very often!

Celeste was in town, and she gave me five star fragments. With the gold rose-lined path to the museum directly behind her, I thought this made for a nice photo.

Celeste: What a sight, wouldn't you agree? Anyhoo, it was so lovely, I wanted to share it with you, Jeff!

C.J. was also on the island; I caught three big-time fish to complete his challenge, and then I sold him 84k worth of fish.

Yesterday, Static told me that he’s never used a computer until just the other day! 😮

Static: Me, though, I just used my first computer the other day...

It was his friend’s computer, and the friend kept talking about dragging and dropping. So Static dragged the computer outside and dropped it in the recycle bin! 😮 He’s not going to end up with any friends if he keeps doing things like that!

Today, Gulliver was in town. I gathered up his communicator parts for him. He will send me a prize in the mail tomorrow.

Gulliver celebrates getting all the pieces of his communicator back.

When I ran into Apollo, he acknowledged Gulliver’s presence in town, and he seemed annoyed that he was here. He even told me to give Gulliver a hard time for him. 😛

Apollo: Give 'im a hard time for me, if you happen to trip over him. Gahaha!

After customizing some furniture, I earned 3,000 Nook Miles for completing the “Furniture Freshener” achievement.

Furniture Freshener: Give your furniture that personal touch and you can unlock miles. The more items you refurbish, the more miles you can get, hm?

I’m making progress on many of my achievements, but on some others, I still have an extremely long way to go. I wonder if the coming 2.0 update will add any new achievements? With all the things added, it seems likely. I guess we’ll find out next week!

I’ll be back with another entry tomorrow. Hope to see you then! And don’t forget to keep stocking up on candy if you’ll be playing on Halloween! 🎃

Good Gifts From Louie

On Sunday night, Louie asked me to play a treasure hunt game. He gave me six minutes to find the buried treasure, and I needed most of that time. It took me four and a half minutes to find it, which is unusually long! But when I returned the gift to him, he opened it up…and gave me his photo! It’s a duplicate, but that’s still a nice gift.

Louie: Louie's photo!

Yesterday, Saharah was in town. I bought a flowing-river flooring and a dark-chocolate wall from her.

Today, Louie did something nice again: He sent me some art in the mail!

Get pumped, touchdown! I found this really awesome art thing when I was out on patrol the other night. I asked around and nobody claimed it, so I'm gifting it to you for all the awesome stuff you're always doing for us. Stay muscular! -Louie

It was a robust statue, and it was authentic! Even more importantly, it was one that I needed for the museum! He also sent me a statue I needed in August too, so he’s been quite helpful lately!

Hornsby asked me to play a treasure hunt game today, but he only gave me three minutes. But this time, I only needed about `15 seconds to find the item! However, this prize was just an apron.

Over at Nook’s Cranny, Apollo said that the cat grass wasn’t grabbing him. He’s not a cat, so I didn’t think that was much of a surprise. I don’t know what he was expecting.

Apollo: The cat grass ain't really grabbing me...

Jolly Redd was in town tonight, so I boarded his ship. He had three works of art that I already had in the museum (2 were fake, 1 was real), and he also had a moody painting. I wasn’t sure if it was real or fake, but I bought it regardless. I’ll find out tomorrow.

I had Wisp in my town on Sunday night and then again tonight. He gave me a rotary phone on Sunday and a blue diner wall tonight.
